Vehicle Purchase
by Orlando25 on 05/04/2018Purchased a F-150 Supercrew Platinum service was great with my sales guy Demos. Only thing i was really dissapointed about was the Detail they gave the car, it was terrible. Dissapointed because they sell you the thought of getting a… courtesy wash as a thoughtful remark from the dealer but really they are dissapointing customers.Horriable management costumer service
by Nickgm85 on 04/12/2018Found a truck we liked via their website. We drove an hour to get there and test drove the truck. We liked it but there was a knocking noise coming from the driver rear suspension. We told the salesman we like the truck and if they could… fix that we will buy the truck. He said he would get the macanics to look at it and let us know but we needed to reserve the truck so knowone else could buy it in the mean time. He called the next day and said it was fixable and the truck would be ready on Saturday but we werent able to make the hour drive on Saturday and we were told no problem your reservation doesnt expire until Sunday and you can pick the truck up on Monday. Come Monday morning we call to let them know we out on our way to pick up the truck. Thats when the salesman told us they sold the truck to someone else that previous Saturday. WHAT!!!! You told us no problem we could pick up the truck on Monday. Were sorry is all they could offer us. We found a similar truck that was about $4000 out of our price range and asked if the could sale us that one for the same price as the first truck. The said NO all we can do is say we are sorry.Thank you very much for sharing these comments. If you'd like, please contact our General Manager at (281) 305-8949. We'd appreciate the chance to make your experience a positive one.

New Ford Escape
by bouymaster on 04/06/2018Very pleased with my recent buying experience at AutoNation Katy Ford. I was able to drive from Florida to Texas and trade my vehicle on the spot and saved 1,000's over the best deal I could get in Florida. Steven Medsger was a pleasure to… work with and made the whole process painless.Worst Service Department
by PamDren on 01/04/2018Service department - WORST ANYWHERE Warriors in Pink is BS. I am a recovering cancer patient. Do I matter? No I do not. Was I misled with my last repair, YES I WAS. Will they make it right? NO THEY WILL NOT. Even if I was a regular Joe… off the street, they should MAKE IT RIGHT when they don't do the work as promised, with NO DELAYS. They should get you worked in SAME DAY. My 17 year old factory alarm is malfunctioning, it's a seven part system, and has been killing the truck, nothing working, truck thinks it's being stolen, so all is dead. No crank, no nothing. This is a known issue, already paid to diagnose, and I am being told today (after leaving a lengthy message yesterday that was NOT returned, they are just too busy to check messages) that they have absolutely NO IDEA what is wrong with my vehicle and it will have to be diagnosed. SERIOUSLY?!?!? They told me in May, "we completely disabled your alarm system, you won't have this problem again." They did not tell me that if the connection to my battery is lost, the alarm system will come back on and I will AGAIN BE STRANDED, this time, for THREE DAYS I have been stranded away from my home and pets. Do they care, NO. Can they get me in today??? Sure, but they can't look at it till tomorrow, and they can't guarantee that it can be fixed tomorrow, when I have to be at the airport at 1pm. And, if I am towed in today, I can't leave till it's fixed. Will they house me overnight, of course not .. but if I don't bring it in today, my chances of it getting fixed tomorrow are slim because even though their message says you can make an appointment, YOU CAN'T. Then I am being told I can bring it in the morning, still, can't guarantee BLAH BLAH BLAH, you are just cattle, don't expect us to give you any priority even though we LIED TO YOU BEFORE. Did they even offer to disable it again to get me back on the road? NO, "we don't know what is wrong with your vehicle, we have to diagnose (and charge you more money that you don't have), BLAH BLAH read from our script" ... Backstory, when I went in May. I was told by the dealership near me, there is only one magical guy in Houston who still knows how to work on your alarm, he is at AutoNation in Katy, you have to go there. I call, and I am told, yes, we have him, he is here today, come on over. I tell them I am getting towed in, they said we are here, come on over. I get there, whole different story ... oh, if you had gotten here in the morning, we could have gotten to you today .. well maybe you should have TOLD ME THAT, and I had to wait hours for the tow truck .. so bottom line, they wouldn't fix it because I would have had to wait DAYS, so, they supposedly disabled it completely. Guess what, they didn't. Will they make it right today? NO. Ever even, NO. Pay again. Diagnose again. They are talking to me like I am a stupid female. I made it very clear that I have worked on cars, that I can do research, the most likely cause is a fuse, I even know which fuse. "Ma'am, we have absolutely no idea what is wrong with your vehicle, we have to diagnose .... " OH MY GOD, this is how you treat people? You don't call them back, admit you haven't even listened to messages today AND re-charge them for the same things over and over and don't stand by your work?????? I need to go back to you because I expected you to right this wrong, and now, I am being told I am cattle, and have to start from scratch? So basically, I don't matter, NONE OF US DO. We aren't customers, we are cattle. I can't afford to go somewhere else and start from scratch, but I guess that is what I am being forced to do. And yes, I spoke to a manager. He didn't want to listen, talked over me and defended the first person I spoke to, who was contradicting himself with every sentence. Sad, because this is where I originally bought this truck, new. They have an F rating on BBB for a reason.Great experience
by Mbso2321 on 11/01/2017updated 11/14/2017I recently purchased a new mustang from autonation ford Katy, and I had a great buying experience, my sales rep Daniel was awesome. The only thing they and all car dealerships need to improve is the paperwork side, other than that it was… great.Congratulations on your new vehicle! We're glad to hear that Daniel provided such a great experience! If you need more help, our team is available to talk -- safe travels!

by amardirosian on 08/03/2017The work was completed in under two days, as I was told it would be. Lance Clemons was the service adviser, and he explained the work that was done and how I should allow a break-in period for the work.Easiest car buying experience ever!

F Rating with BBB for a Reason People!
by rich5371 on 04/20/2017If only I had looked at the 1 star reviews (and the F rating on BBB) and heeded before I bought. Do not do business with this AutoNation location. I bought a 2011 BMW X5 50i. The vehicle said I had 1600 miles to the next oil change on the… computer when I got home and looked at that, so I knew they didn't do the claimed oil change before they sold me my vehicle. I was going to just accept they'd gotten me on that and take care of it myself, when I got a call I had to drive the 45 minutes to an hour back to let them do the emissions inspection that wasn't done before they sold the vehicle to me (or had expired and they had to do it again). So I decided to ask for my oil change, and they agreed. I made an appointment, brought it in, and they put new oil in the vehicle, but couldn't change the filter because they didn't have the right tool in their shop. I kid you not. That means the new oil is ruined, you have to change the filter at the same time you do new oil. But even better - they put on the second page of the paperwork that they diagnosed an oil leak from the engine. They didn't tell me about this since I'm sure they knew it was leaking when they sold the vehicle to me, but sold it to me anyway. I call my salesman Ahmed and he tells me, take it to your mechanic, it's yours. Then, and I have this recorded, he said "they can't even change your oil right, how can they diagnose an oil leak?". My cell records all my calls, again I have it recorded. Oh, and the nice replies from AutoNation here's our number please call us so we can make it right? That's their main number for the recording to choose a department - I'm still waiting on a call back from manager Chris from last week. Fat chance that's going to happen. Don't let yourself feel like a screwed idiot like I do right now - don't buy from this dealership. If you do you may really wish you'd listened to me.Katy Ford. Great Dealership!
by scramble on 04/04/2017Bottom Line Up Front - - A great buying experience. This is my second purchase from Katy Ford in the last two tears and it was just as great as my first one. Richard Baxley was the associate that handled my recent purchase. I can't say… enough about how pleased I was with the transaction. This dealership does not play games with the buyer. Their prices are fair and selling practices above board. Even though I live in Florida and have to have my truck shipped it still worth it to but from Katy Ford. They have my business for life.2017 ford expedition

Run from this dealership! Really Bad Customer Serivce!
by TrueTexan on 11/30/2016Service department is really, really bad. 11-27-2016, I was told it would be $321.00 for them to tell me what was wrong with my truck motor. That was before the service writer even looked at the truck or heard what was happening to… the truck's motor. Took my Excursion over to Mac Haik Ford and had them fix it. They have a great truck shop. It need to 2 injectors a new motor control module and wiring harness. AutoNation Ford Katy missed a $2,900.00 repair job because of bad service. 3 years ago they worked on our MKX's moon roof under warranty. After picking up the car we noticed that the moon roof was not fixed. Returned it to the service department the next day and was told it would be $891.00 to fix it. I told the service manager it was under factory warranty and he told me not at this shop anymore. Took it to Westpoint Lincoln and Ford paid to have the moon roof fixed.Great truck poor sales experience at AutoNation Ford Katy
by PullnRVs on 11/25/2016First I want to say the truck is fine so that part I am good on. It is the sales practices of AutoNation Ford Katy that I take issue with. My experience started with the website which was also fine. I requested some additional information… on a Certified F350 on their website and got a call back within 5 to 10 minutes which was great as I was boarding a redeye flight to return home and Houston was the layover point. I expected to be dealing with my questions while in the air so get a person right away was helpful because the vehicle looked great but the pictures seemed to be missing something, step rails. I have a family and the step rails were very important to me and it was the first thing I asked about and was told by the sales rep Mike C. with great promptness that the rails were upgraded autohide type. Trusting his succinct answers I told him that about by plan to change my travel plans to visit the lot to purchase the truck. We traded a few more emails while on the ground and in the air so I felt pretty darn good about it up to this point. I changed my connecting flight and when I arrived in Houston I booked a room and Ubered to the hotel. The following morning I Ubered from IAH to AutoNation Ford Katy and was promptly greeted by Mike C. As we are going over the vehicle it became clear that the truck did not have the autohide step rails and Mike did offer to give me his employee number so I could buy a set of rail out of my own pocket. I was not pleased to say the least but Mike did offer to take a 100 bux off the truck. 100 dollars is not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things but I thought it was a nice conciliatory gesture. Mike C then brings out the numbers and the 100 dollars was deducted but what I found after that were fees for the CPO of the truck at 599 dollars, Window Tint at 199 and some other fee at 299 plus the typical documentation dealer processing fee. So this truck that once had a price on the website that included the CPO, Tint and my step rails has now gone down by 100 dollars but then right back up by 1000 dollars. To make matters even more infuriating I later found out that the rear windows are factory tinted and the previous owner had the front windows tinted before trading it in so it steams me even more to know that they tried to charge me 200 dollars for something they didn't even do. In the end they backed out the 599, 199 and 299 charges and discounted the truck by 100 dollars. So yes despite not having the step rails I bought the truck and I do not regret having the truck one bit. That said, what I sincerely regret is rewarding these unscrupulous used car salespeople with my business. These folks perpetuate the very stereotype the industry suffers from. My advice is if you plan on shopping AutoNation Ford Katy be prepared to scrutinize everything that has a number.Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Horrible Service Experience
by keithcathyhill on 10/25/2016I had my mustang towed to this location because of a blown tire. They seemed very nice over the phone and said they could replace the tire and do the needed oil change. When we arrived to pick it up, it was $100 more than expected, the… car was NOT clean. The floor mats were upside down (I guess they do that so you don't see the mess they cause????). There was grease on the inside of the drivers door. The rim on the tire that was replaced still had markings on it from where they did the work. The service advisor had told us it was cleaned and ready for pick up... He was clearly not telling the truth. He saw our dissatisfaction and did nothing. Funny thing is that this is the closest Ford store to us. We didn't buy there because of a HORRIBLE sales experience. Two strikes. I'm done with this place.Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Please call our General Manager directly at (281) 305-8949 for ways we can work towards resolving these issues. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Awful and Unethical
by carbuyer310 on 09/01/2016This business not only uses, but openly supports unethical business practices and needs to be dealt with by the BBB. I entered into a verbal agreement with the salesperson to purchase a vehicle. He quoted me a price and I accepted. An… hour later when I went to complete the online application, the same salesperson INCREASED the price. When I questioned him, he told me the price I agreed to (with a witness present) was not really a final price. Nonetheless, I moved ahead and completed the credit application. I called the sales person the next day as he never got back to me. He told me they sold the car to someone else. Salesperson and sales manager told me there was nothing I could do, sales manager was unapologetic, angry at me for escalating to him, told me we were both at fault, etc. What's more, he told me there was nothing ethically wrong with having a deal with someone and then intentionally breaking that deal in order to sell a vehicle for more money to another buyer. Unbelievable! Save your time, go somewhere else where you'll be respected, treated fairly and given the ethical treatment you deserve. AutoNation needs to clean house at this location and provide some serious sales, customer service, business ethics and client recovery training.I bought a 2017 ford explorer
by 56bsegura on 08/11/2016updated 08/24/2016I went in to the dealership a couple of weeks ago and looked at the ford explorers. What I liked about Mr. James Mainer, besides him being very polite, I appreciated the fact that when I told him that I worked nights, that I would let him… know when I was ready, he wasn't calling and calling me. He respected my wishes and waited for me to get in contact with him. I am very happy with my overall experience with AutoNation. Sincerely, Brenda
