Excellent experience
by Jason N on 05/03/2024
Everyone I met and talked with was knowledgeable and worked with me. The best part is they did not force me to come in. In constant contact via email and text, only shook hands when I purchased the car. Wonderful people, great place, go get… a Subie

A++ Experience!
by gregorysharp on 06/07/2015West Houston Subaru is the place to get your new Subaru! I highly recommend working with Vince Ramacca, the Internet Sales Manager at WHS! He was incredibly responsive, direct, courteous, and intent on making sure I was satisfied with my… new purchase. I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process, which we all know can be stressful, but with Vince it was straightforward and actually fun! Financing was exceptionally easy as well! Again, no need to go anywhere else in the Houston area to buy your new Subaru -- Vince is your man!Awesome dealership to do business with!!!
by matt_adams1 on 05/31/2015In the market for a Forester, i requested quotes from several dealerships. Vince Ramacca responded and then called to follow up. Vince quoted me a price that was a lot lower than my local dealer gave me. I asked if I made the trip to… West Houston Subaru, would he try to add extra items to move the cost up and he said absolutely not. The price quoted on his email was the price I would pay. We were busy and got off to a late start. Vince had a wedding to attend so he arranged for Ken Slen to handle the paperwork and test drive when I arrived at the dealership with my wife. Ken was great! Very nice young man. He took us on the test drive and handled all the paperwork. I can't say enough about Vince and Ken. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone looking for a Subaru to connect with this dealership and specifically Vince and Ken. We could not be happier with our experience at West Houston Subaru!!!Great guys
by Deejay74 on 05/28/2015We were greeted by Sean after being on the lot approx. 10 minutes. It was nice to not be attacked the minute we exited our vehicle. Our salesman really knew the product top to bottom. Things went smoothly and quickly and we did the deal… on a Forester. Bought a Forester a couple of years ago with my daughter at a competing local dealer. The process was contentious to say the least. Go with Sean and West Houston, get a good deal and save yourself a lot of stress.Frank
by 2015Subaru on 05/26/2015Had a great experience at West Houston Subaru. Frank was a great, funny sales man. No hassles! They wanted me to be happy. I have never written a review for anything before but I am very satisfied with my purchase and the buying… process. They gave me a tour of the facility and introduced me to everyone I may be working with in the future for routine maintenance.Second Outback in 2 Years...Because we love it!
by HDHFarm on 05/18/2015In 2/13 after driving from San Antonio back to Houston with my Hybrid with now 170K on it, I decided to look at Outbacks as I knew it was close to replacement time and I saw the West Houston sign. It was 7pm when I arrived. No husband with… me, just on a whim if you will..though very tired. Troy Lynn was, I am sure ,getting ready to leave when he greeted me. I told him what I would like and he presented the options and actually recommended the 2.5 for fuel economy. I told him what I would really like and at 1030pm I left with a 3.6R that had just been unloaded that day in the very back of the lot. Troy called me twice to make sure all was going well on the way home as I had a 45 minute drive. That car is getting 25.5 combined driving consistently. My husband has had some health issues and has weakness in his left hand and decreased peripheral vision. He was retiring and I wanted him in the safest car possible...but now a problem..he wanted the same for me as I travel extensively. So after great discussion we elected to keep Subie1(2013) and I would get a new (2015). I debated on the 2.5 and 3.6 and Troy suggested that with all my driving we stay with a 2.5. (Interesting, not pushing the higher priced car). I agreed and it was ordered. Last week Troy called to say that a 2015 had come in from the railhead in Dallas with a very minute little ding in the window trim, from a quick hail there and it was a 3.6R just like my other. He sent me a volume of pictures to reassure both myself and Ed; told us the entire trim in that area would be replaced, and then asked if we would like it versus the one on order which was due to arrive in a week. It actually had more on it than my 2013 and I know from the price those were gifts as he said he would match the original price that was used as a comparison for the 2.5 we had ordered. We picked up the car Saturday and Troy still spent over an hour presenting again all the "bells and whistles" even though we already had one. My husband is hard of hearing and Troy took the time to make sure that Ed felt comfortable with all that was transpiring. We left with Subie 1 in having the 65,000 mile warranty checkup with Carla and Chuck whom it goes without saying are just as appreciated as Troy. I am quite sure you have surmised that Ed and I are not in our 20's. But we were treated with respect and a genuine caring attitude. I , as a woman, and a professional, so greatly appreciate this when it is entirely unsolicited but truly genuine.Good, caring service
by Nucleic on 05/18/2015We recently purchased the second Subaru in our house, this time from West Houston Subaru. Troy Lynn there helped us navigate the selection and purchase. Importantly, there was no pressure to either make a decision or get us to buy… unnecessary options/stuff. Since we ordered this vehicle, he also kept us thoroughly informed about the delivery date. Our first order unfortunately got damaged in hail. After discussing options, he placed a new order. Took about 3 months overall, but we came away pleased with the car buying experience.Seamless Car Buying
by docgillem on 05/16/2015Ken Slen of West Houston Subaru was the opitomy of what a knowledgeable and professional salesman should be. Ken contacted me after I had looked at a website and placed my 2012 Subaru Outback on it to see what it was worth. He absolutely… did not pressure me to come in, he just asked when would be a good time to sit down and talk with me about what I was interested in purchasing. I expressed interest in the Subaru Crosstrek XV after I had conducted research online. When I arrived at the dealership, Ken greeted me, escorted me to his office and he listened intently to what I was looking for and then offered suggestions. Initially, I had looked at an extensive package add-ons and we talked about that while my Subaru Outback was being assessed for trade-in value. I owned the car outright, as I had paid cash for it when I purchased it in 2012. I was also pre-approved thru USAA for a loan to purchase my new vehicle. Ken asked me one time if I would give them the opportunity to beat the 2.75% APR that USAA was giving me on the loan. I said no, that I was staying with USAA. Ken immediately took my promisary loan paperwork to the finance officer after showing me what they were going to give me for the Outback. We then went for a nice drive in a Black Subaru Crosstrek with leather interior. I was impressed with how well put together the Crosstrek was, and how easy it was to learn the different controls. Ken walked me thru the basics, and we returned to the dealership. Total time from walking in to driving away in my new car was 1hour and 50 minutes. Extremely helpful staff with the ability to listen to the customer instead of trying to get them to upgrade for higher cost. The one thing I did purchase was the 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty, considering the stop and go traffic associated with the Houston area. I have received several compliments already on how put together the car looks and I can tell you from driving it, that it is as advertised. Very powerful car and easy to maneuver thru traffic. Again, great car buying experience with Ken Slen. If you go there, look for Ken, it will be a seamless transition to the Subaru family of cars.Ryan Nguyen, pushing a sale without being "pushy".
by thesnakehead71 on 05/15/2015I was in the market of getting a new Subaru BRZ as my first new car, after countless years of following the car as well as fixing up old handy downs, I figured it was time to make the plunge. I was right away greeted by a very nice sincere… young man by the name of Ryan. He smiled and treated me and my family like friends. Not at all pushy and described the benefits of the particular model as well as his personal preference with sporty cars. Keep in mind I did not know how to properly drive a manual car, but he explained to me the basics, and even shared his scary yet fruitful experience of his first time of driving a standard. We joked alot and time came for the "deal" making decisions. He started off by giving us a fair quote and came to a respectable middle ground. I can tell there was a level of "rivalry" within the dealership amongst the other representatives during his negotiation process with his party. And he constantly apologize for the wait but I had no worries and was patient. I can tell he was working the numbers with the other associates and I had no problems waiting. I wouldn't have bought the car from anyone else, just on the fact that he asked me various questions on what i truly wanted in a car as opposed to just settling, even rest assured us that there is no rush. He shared his first experience with his first car and understood that it had to be the right one as its a very large investment. Everything was discussed from past model tweaks to paint color made me believe that he was looking out for me, which is nice. One major thing that set him apart from other sales man aside from his lack of "pushiness" while adding more sincerity, is his on hands support. I expressed my concerns about driving a manual after the purchase and was going to have someone pick it up or drop it off for me. Ryan offered to drop the car off for me if needed, which i agreed. However upon, dropping off the car, Ryan gave me a safe quick tutorial on familiarizing myself with the vehicle. He took about 20 minutes from his time to show me the ropes around the neighboring roads and that was one the greatest experiences I will never forget. He went the extra mile to ensure my car purchasing experience was great even after the purchase was made. After the purchase, he shared his experience on different ways to maintain the car and driving habits to keep wear to a minimum. I went to many car dealerships prior to this one. And though many dealerships may sale the same car with even prices, what differentiates them apart is level of service and support, and Ryan definitely delivered. Ryan is by far the most endearing salesman I ever encountered. Definitely will buying from him again and referring him to friends and family.Great Job West Houston
by aws4 on 05/12/2015The folks at West Houston are friendly, efficient and courteous. I am over 60 and have bought many cars in my lifetime - West Houston Subaru is one of the very best new car shops that I have ever worked with, and my Sales Associate, Mr.… Ramacca was simply outstanding.Subaru Forester from West Houston Subaru Dealership
by westsubarufan on 04/30/2015This was a great dealership. They jumped through hoops to make me happy. Sean was the internet sales manager that I bought my Subaru Forester from. He had a positive energy filled personality, was very knowledgeable, and did not hassle me… or give me the run around like other dealerships did. He knew how to resolve things that were out of his control. The finance manager of the dealership was also great. I came out with a great deal that no other dealership would have topped. Great customer service. I absolutely love my new Subaru Forester.Very Pleased!

by BCrosstek on 03/29/2015I was very impressed with my sales associate Joe, and everyone I encountered during the sales process was welcoming and helpful. I had all my questions promptly answered and there was no "BS" that you normally encounter at a car dealership.… I'm recommending West Houston Subaru to all my friends and family.Amazing First Time Buyer Experience!
by rcatdavis on 03/24/2015The sales man I worked with was Mike Leroy and he was absolutely WONDERFUL! I graduated college less than a year ago and this was my first ever "big" purchase. I came with my parents for their input and Mike was the first sales men I had… dealt with ( I had been to two other dealerships that day) who actually treated me as an adult and understood my price range. He made the whole experience enjoyable and was very straight forward with me. Mike did an excellent job at explaining the entire process step by step. If you want to buy a GREAT car at a fair price and not deal with aggressive and pushy car salesmen I would definitely recommend here! West Houston Subaru was also great about helping me with financing and even gave me a better deal than the bank I had applied for a loan through. The whole staff was amazing and I will absolutely be recommending others to come here in the future.West Houston Subaru
by leslies5 on 03/24/2015Vince Ramacca at West Houston Subaru is the only car salesman I have ever had that I would go back to, recommend, and trust with my questions! He was very helpful, not at all pushy and FUN to work with. He sincerely wanted me to have what I… wanted in my Subaru Forester and not try to upsell or pressure me into something I didn't need or want. It was the perfect experience! THANKS VINCE!!Sales Review
by 78NdP on 03/23/2015We did buy a car from this dealership and service has been great. Recommended.2015 Subaru WRX CVT
by cjleuschen on 03/06/2015Until I gotten behind the wheel of the new 2015 Subaru WRX CVT, I was like many WRX owners. The WRX is a manual transmission vehicle, but let's not forgot. This is not the first time Subaru produced an Automatic WRX, may be the first… CVT but those Auto WRX are sought after. The fact you have all the control features of the STI (I, S and S#) without the additional cost or tail fin. The WRX CVT is the best of both worlds. You want to save fuel while knowing you have the power under your right foot, you can get a respectful 24mpg. But on those days that you just want to feel the power under your foot and shift your way through the gears, switch to S# and turn on the Track Mode (Traction Control Off). Now if you are looking for you next Subaru no matter the model. West Houston Subaru is your dealership that you have to visit. Ask for Troy Lynn and you can't go wrong. Yes there are other Subie Dealerships that will steal you away with a lower price, but if you want a dealership that is 100% behind you as a customer West Houston Subaru is the dealership. That lower price you see while talking with those other dealership is not the same lower price you would see at West Houston Subaru. The proof is place right in front of you while you sit with your West Houston Subaru Sale Consultant (Troy Lynn). The number you agree on for the drive out is the amount you can write a check for and drive out the door. The other dealerships will agree on a low price to get you in the door, they will even tell you the drive out based on the TTL, but what they fail to tell you is the additional charges that are not negotiable like prep fees or additional items you did not ask to be added to the vehicle. There is nowhere else you need to go but West Houston Subaru where you are family and not a number. Hands down, that best sale force in the Houston Market. John Leuschen Project ManagerGreat Transaction!
by brettinhouston on 03/06/2015I worked with Jonathan Rachal to lease a 2015 Outback. He was patient while I went back and forth considering whether to buy or lease, and if I were to lease, how many miles I would want per year. There was absolutely no pressure from him… to try and close the deal immediately or tell me that the price was only good for one day, or any of the other tricks that some dealerships or salespeople might pull. I would highly recommend West Houston Subaru for anyone in the market for a Subaru, and would certainly suggest that they work with Jonathan. I've leased/bought/sold many (too many) cars and this was certainly one of the best transactions!Excellent Experience
by handsomerab on 03/03/2015I was a first time car buyer so I had talked with several people just to get an idea of what to expect once I got to the dealer. They all made it sound like the worst thing ever! I was apprehensive to say the least but I decided to give it… a try. Best decision I have ever made! The sales team was great and didn't try to push me toward extra features that I didn't want. They were very knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered any questions that I had. The financing team was excellent as well! I was told to watch out because they will be very pushy and insist that you get extra warranties and coverage that you may not want. This was not the case AT ALL! I was offered 2 extended warranties in a very straight forward manner. All of the information was laid out and presented in an easy to understand way. We came to an agreement and then I was given all of the documents to sign. Again all of the information was printed right there in plain English. Really great experience in its entirety! I will definitely recommend West Houston Subaru to everyone!Great car buying experience
by txu2015 on 03/02/2015Very smooth car buying experience. Sean is a great salesman, very professional and patient.
