West Houston Subaru
Dealership Sales Review
In 2/13 after driving from San Antonio back to Houston with my Hybrid with now 170K on it, I decided to look at Outbacks as I knew it was close to replacement time and I saw the West Houston sign. It was 7pm when I arrived. No husband with me, just on a whim if you will..though very tired. Troy Lynn was, I am sure ,getting ready to leave when he greeted me. I told him what I would like and he presented the options and actually recommended the 2.5 for fuel economy. I told him what I would really like and at 1030pm I left with a 3.6R that had just been unloaded that day in the very back of the lot. Troy called me twice to make sure all was going well on the way home as I had a 45 minute drive. That car is getting 25.5 combined driving consistently. My husband has had some health issues and has weakness in his left hand and decreased peripheral vision. He was retiring and I wanted him in the safest car possible...but now a problem..he wanted the same for me as I travel extensively. So after great discussion we elected to keep Subie1(2013) and I would get a new (2015). I debated on the 2.5 and 3.6 and Troy suggested that with all my driving we stay with a 2.5. (Interesting, not pushing the higher priced car). I agreed and it was ordered. Last week Troy called to say that a 2015 had come in from the railhead in Dallas with a very minute little ding in the window trim, from a quick hail there and it was a 3.6R just like my other. He sent me a volume of pictures to reassure both myself and Ed; told us the entire trim in that area would be replaced, and then asked if we would like it versus the one on order which was due to arrive in a week. It actually had more on it than my 2013 and I know from the price those were gifts as he said he would match the original price that was used as a comparison for the 2.5 we had ordered. We picked up the car Saturday and Troy still spent over an hour presenting again all the "bells and whistles" even though we already had one. My husband is hard of hearing and Troy took the time to make sure that Ed felt comfortable with all that was transpiring. We left with Subie 1 in having the 65,000 mile warranty checkup with Carla and Chuck whom it goes without saying are just as appreciated as Troy. I am quite sure you have surmised that Ed and I are not in our 20's. But we were treated with respect and a genuine caring attitude. I , as a woman, and a professional, so greatly appreciate this when it is entirely unsolicited but truly genuine.
