  • Unhappy customer

    This particular visit I took my car in for diagnostics. I scheduled an appointment for 7:30am on Monday. Checking my in, no problem. Expecting 72hr process, no problem. However, I was expecting the service advisor to reach out just inform me of progress. I was never called or contacted. In fact, all communication was initiated by me. By Friday, I had had enough. I went to dealership to retrieve my car. No one informed me regarding my car. I went to take it back. When I got there, a different service advisor said my car was ready. What! No one called me. The outcome, after a week, was a new battery. It took a week, during the holiday, to determine that I needed a new battery, which was under warranty! Not happy with Tidwell Ford, where I purchased my car and have only taken it for service.

    Dropped off my car in the morning for service. Basic Works package, oil change, tire rotation, fluids refilled. I expected to pick up end of the day but Michael and the techs got it done much faster.

    Everyone was very friendly. They made me an appointment the day I called and didn’t have to wait. I was able to get my service very quick and Mike was very friendly and informative. Definitely bringing my car here from here on out!

  • Oil change

    Why does it take nearly 3 hours to have the oil changed in your car after making an appointment several days in advance??? Then when you get the car back it has oil smudges on the door… Bottom line is it takes entirely too long and the car is given back to you dirtier than when you brought it in….

    Had taken my truck here 6 months ago for major service and was pleased, so when I got the email with the Saturday special for "The Works" it seemed like a no-brainer. Grabbed the 7:30 time slot and was out in time to get breakfast and Saturday chores done.

    I have to say that I was not impressed with the service department. When I was finally able to pick up my car, I was not given a report of what was actually done by the technician. I will not return.

    Tidwell of Kennesaw—it’s pointless to have any other service needs completed timely. They have the audacity to suggest that you leave your sole form of transportation with them potentially up to three days just to figure out a simple problem like a possible clogged ac hose. On top of that, they do not compliment you with a service vehicle even though it’s their fault you’d ever need one. Like, how am I suppose to go to work while you take three days to figure out my service problem? They’re not convenient at all or customer friendly. I’m thinking maybe they don’t need or want my business? Making an appointment for more than one service need is a no go. I am always disappointed whenever I take my car there. I only go to them bc I drive a Ford Mustang and they’re the only dealership close by. Honestly none of the ford dealerships in Georgia that I have been to are ever reliable or dependable. It’s always some kind of inconvenience the customer has to deal with—no parts, leave your car for three days or two weeks for repairs, long wait time, no availability, make appointment for one thing end up getting something else. Also today I was told I needed breaks really bad but did they replace them as I was open to do—no. Like what is this!? This is a dealership service center. You’d think you would get tip top service. I’ve gotten better service care at Firestone. Wish Tidwell did better and offered more to their customers. Tired of being disappointed.

    Had a great experience taking my 2013 Ford F-150 in to get new keys. Johnny was great and even found a recall repair that needed to be done and the truck was completed in less than 48 hours.

  • Charged for parts not even an option on my F150

    2013 F150 with 108k miles. Scheduled a 100k service online for $581. Off the bat the price went up as soon as I talked to the Service Advisor onsite. After their first once over, they insisted I needed a new battery ASAP - for $189. Once the final bill came, I was charged for a cabin filter - that isn’t even installed on my truck. What if I didn’t know that? What if I didn’t read the bill? What do I not know about my F150 that they also slid in there? I chose a Ford Dealership for service because they work on trucks every single day. The entire process left me feeling taken advantage of + overcharged. I will find a different place for future maintenance.

  • Top-notch Customer Service

    This was the second time I’ve been to Jim Tidwell Ford since moving here in the Spring. I had an unexpected tire pressure problem and I stopped in without an appointment to see if someone could tell me if there was something wrong with my tire or a computer glitch. Sure enough, Hayley found a nail in my tire and told me they’d be able to handle it in a bit. The wait was about an hour and a half…but hey! I didn’t have an appointment. The waiting area is comfortable and I chatted with a few nice people. I was safely back on the road and plan to make my 10k mile checkup in a few weeks. I’m glad I made Jim Tidwell Ford my new dealership.

    Do not go here for anything. If you make an appointment it doesn't matter. Is just a suggestion i was told. They tell you to change parts i just change somewhere else after i told him i just did change them. Oh its a mistake they are ok.... they just want money.terrible customer service

    This was by far the shortest car purchase ever. I’ve been to plenty of dealerships where I was there all day just to complete the paperwork. This time around was completely painless.
