    Buying my first new truck was making me nervous enough at it was.. my salesman Terry , was friendly and very helpful. Which made the difference in going ahead and buying my ranger , vs , looking elsewhere

  • Got it done

    Made appt online but then called and was told “no way could it be done before they closed at 7”. Changed to 0830 next day. Got oil changed, fuel filters, recall completed (for 2nd time due to no confirmation it had been done before. So they did it again according to Service Director. Completed as agreed time. This time they did everything they could to accommodate me. I appreciated that, including a personal meeting with dealership GM. Everyone has issues and makes mistakes. It’s how they respond to those mistakes is what I’m looking at. We shall see!

  • Service Options Would be Nice

    Service rep Jonny was thorough and professional. Good communication as well. Only issue was the $1,800 estimate to fix AC motor vibration for a 2013 F-150. Needed a fresh air door assembly and actuator replacement which requires 10 hours of labor and removal of the whole dash. Watching a few Youtube videos revealed the issue was common with 2013 F-150 (probably should be a recall item) and you could remove the blower without removing the dash. I had a mechanically inclined friend perform the repair in 30 minutes revealing a broken piece from the actuator causing the vibration just like all the Youtube videos described. I paid him $10 and the vibration is gone. I don’t want to spend $1,800 just so I will be able to switch from fresh to recirculated air. Offering options to customers would be preferred. I understand that Ford requires the repairs done in certain ways in order for work to guaranteed, but I also would rather pay $10 vs. $1,800.

  • Zero instructions on specific car features or Operater settings

    The feeling I got when I first got there was it’s a total sellers market. Therefore, you can take it or leave it attitude. The salesman never introduced himself. Just walked me out to the cars for sale and that was really it. I made him an offer for to meet or beat a written offer from another dealership. It came back to him basically saying, “I don’t know how they are reaching that price, but you should go buy that car.” So, I left. About an hour later the manager called and asked if he could go over the numbers again. This time the numbers were much tighter and competitive. I ended up buying at Tidwell Ford. However, when I went back to buy the car it was as if it was a “done deal“ so I wasn’t introduced to any of the new car features at all. I have no idea what the security codes are for on the new set of keys. I don’t know how to program the door codes. I don’t know what “My Key“ is for nor do I know how to set many of the numerous personal settings. I’m not an idiot, so I can spend time figuring it all out on my own, except for the keyless entry. It doesn’t seem to want to work. It would have been nice to have the personal attention to go through all of the settings and accessories. Side note: I will be taking the car back to have the back up camera looked at, as it has completely blanked out. Another small gripe is the tire pressure stems on the tires did not have caps. I noticed it, and asked if they could please have them replaced when I came back to pick it up. “Yeah sure we’ll take care of that.“ When I came back the following day, they still do not have caps. They only put three caps. One of the tires on the opposite side is still missing a cap. Interesting note, the salesman asked that I give him a five star rating. He asked I do this in the money exchange process, but once payment went through there was no more customer service in educating me about the vehicle I had just purchased. It may be a sellers market, but don’t take these buyer reviews for granted. You still need to give good customer sales service!

    I brought my 2012 Ford Escape in for a high mileage inspection and oil change, and Mike was very helpful in explaining the status of my tires, battery, brakes, etc. I especially appreciated the fact that I didn’t feel over-sold on unnecessary maintenance. When going to pick up my car, there was confusion on what service I had requested versus the service I received, and Mike and the staff were very understanding and immediately rectified the situation. Overall a great experience! I plan to continue having my car serviced by the Tidwell Ford team.

    Went in for a basic 6k service, with a tire pressure Monitor lite on, said it was fixed but won’t go off. Now I have to schedule another visit.

    I’ve had the pleasure of working with Candace multiple times for 2 of my vehicles. She diligently navigated my extended warranty to get my F150 repaired on 2 occasions. She’s also helped me with some warranty work on my Transit. Even when faced with a extremely frustrating situation, Candace went above and beyond to help get my vehicles repaired.

    Scheduled Service!! I have always had great service and my car is always ready for pickup when promised. In the past, I have generally done standard maintenance myself. However, I have found their service techs to be highly knowledgeable and their prices are reasonable. It makes sense, for me, to leave my car in their capable hands so I can continue with other activities.

  • Waited too long

    I made an appointment online a day in advance for 8:30 am for an oil change and alignment and marked I would be waiting. Upon arrival the morning of, the gentleman asked me if I would be waiting and I told him yes and if I decided otherwise I would let him know. He went over what I needed done to my car and suggested a tire rotation, so I did it. He told me the alignment would take about an hour. I left the dealership at noon - 3.5 hours later. Whenever he called to speak about my car (after I texted the number I was provided with no response) I had to cut him off to let him know I was in the lobby and had been as I stated I would be. I truly think my car was either done and I wasn’t notified or pushed to the side because I watched the lobby empty and refill and I just sat there. I asked someone by the door o check on my car and told him how long I had been waiting and he did absolutely nothing to assist me. He just sat in his car, said the guy may have gone to the back and then said “we’re busy” even whenever I told him I texted the number I was given and hadn’t heard back. Once I was finally ready, the guy told me I didn’t really need the filters they suggested but wanted to put that on there anyway and then told me I needed 4 new tires very soon and then acted as if $1,050 was nothing to pay out. I told him I found tires more than $75/ea cheaper elsewhere and he didn’t offer to match or give me a discount or anything but he was all about offering a coupon for the oil change, which I appreciate, but a $50 oil change is much more doable than $1,050. My overall experience left me highly frustrated to say the least. The $9,000 cash offer left in my car was also a low blow since I’ve had quotes for much more come from non Ford establishments. They want to charge me an arm and a leg for maintenance then lowball me.
