My husband and I took our 2013 Scion in for service. We ended up… driving away with our Scion and a 2014 Toyota Camry. Van (salesman) and Todd B. (financing) were wonderful! Safety Recall Repair A Breeze
by ale56 on 08/13/2014I arrived at the Service Dept at about 8:30 AM & spoke with Dave E. Toyota had a safety recall on the backseat track of my Highlander. I left my car, walked over to Toyota Rent A Car, & Sparkle gave me a Camry for the day. It probably took… under 30 minutes, and they were crowded. I expected a call by 5:30 or 6 PM but was called about 1 PM. I drove back, turned in the rental, & picked up my Highlander. Used Car with huge problems
by melaney on 09/27/2008We recently bought a used mazda from this dealership. They told us that they inspected this vehicle, so we were confident that it was a good car (which is why we went to a big dealership, for the security in what you are buying). Within the… first two weeks we had to have it towed because it blew a hose and overheated. The hose had been falling apart and coming through the vent when we bought it, but we didn't realize that is what is was at the time. The hose had been taped up to get it by. Now we have this car in the garage a few weeks later because the head gasket has gone, and we have to put $2000 into this car we JUST bought. Our mechanic said that this problem had been going on slowly so that it was not noticeable enough when we bought it, we had to drive it a few weeks...When I called, the manager said we inspect the cars but we can not fix all that is wrong with them or we would not make any money..So BE FORWARNED if you are buying a used car that there is more than likely problems that they are not telling you about because they need to make money, which they consider more important then selling a reliable used vehicle. We also have to put new brakes on the vehicle we just bought, they failed to mention this to us from the inspection they just did.Amazingly Easy!
by goalie0020 on 04/24/2008Talk about car buying made easy. We dealt with Lomax as our sales guy and he was the easiest and most efficient Sales Person you could ask for. We test drove the car, he looked at the trade in and did the numbers. The numbers were better… then we were looking for, and we did not even have to counter. However we did and he gave us free window tint. Either way it was an awesome deal and an easy process. Look at other cars and other dealerships, then finish at Fred Haas. I guarantee you will buy a car there!Be aware!!!
by jdv2 on 01/09/2008When you walk in to the Fred Haas Toyota World dealership you are welcomed by Toyota branded posters reassuring that this is a high quality dealership with integrity. You might think that the perceived quality of Toyota also is applied to… the integrity of the dealer, its sales people and the used cars it sells. So of I went and bought a used high-mileage 1997 Mercury Cougar XR7 from them, with a fresh inspection sticker from their own shop. I brought it straight to Firestone for an oil change and to check the basics. Surprise! The car was not road worthy and not be driven so dangerous it was. All four wheel attachments were broken, the brakes were beyond repair, etc. OK. I brought it to my trusted mechanic, since I thought Firestone might try to sell me an expensive repair job. However, they came back with an even worse report, with my mechanic pleading with me not to drive that car so dangerous it was. I called Fred Haas and told that they had sold me s a kind of a suicide weapon. They took that in stride and told me that if I wanted to bring it back they would give me full credit against an other car. I called them back that I wanted to take them up on that and to give me some ideas of what I should buy, among others a new Toyota Yaris or Corolla. No reply. I called them again, and still no reply. I guess they really did not want to do as they said. Quite a disappointment, especially since they are using the Toyota promisse! Be aware!!!2014 Tundra 1794 Edition 4x4

Dishonest
by zurel on 09/12/2013updated 05/22/2025I recently contacted Fred Haas and asked for a quote. The internet sales manager e-mailed me back and quoted "$500 over invoice". I then checked the True Market Value (TMV) on Edmunds and took that quote with me to the dealership to make… sure I got a fair deal. When we started talking about price he quoted me a number that was not even close to invoice and much closer to MSRP. I told him about the $500 over invoice e-mail and showed him the Edmunds TMV quote. He told me he was not familiar with Edmunds and instead showed me their in-house system which listed a "dealer cost". He told me the dealer cost was the invoice price. That clearly wasn't true since Edmonds listed an invoice price $1,000's below his dealer cost. I left and went to another dealership that actually offered me a fair price (well below the "dealer cost" price at Fred Haas). Unfortunately they decided that being dishonest makes them more money so I will not reccomend them.Thank you for your feedback. Would not honor agreed price

We were told it was on the boat and would be delivered in about 2 weeks. When they called us to come pick it up, after… they showed it to my wife (so she could fall in love with it), they had "some bad news". The price was now $2,000 higher than the price they had agreed with us. They would not budge. We walked out. Don't waste your time. Go a few minutes north to the Toyota dealer in Conroe and get treated right. Ask for Bui. (Funny name, but a great guy.)Jim, thank you for alerting us of this issue. Our top priority is giving each customer100% satisfaction and I'd like to extend my apologies that you left our dealership disappointed with your experience. DO NOT DO BUSINESS
by hazcat1 on 12/30/2013updated 05/22/2025In early November I went to a 4-Wheel Parts location to discuss building a new truck and they recommended Fred Haas Toyota. I went to the Fred Haas Toyota website and looked around. I saw their “Trade-In Calculator so I entered my data and… it said that my trade was worth $33K. I decided that the economics may well work for me to build a 2014 Tundra. I later received an e-mail from Shawn T., the internet sales person. He and I spoke several times and he began to coordinate my trade, modifications to the new truck and actually finding me the new truck. The Used Car Manager then offered me $24K - $25K for my trade, to which I called BS. I think he wanted me to fill it with gas and have it detailed too. He then gave Shawn a “sight-unseen” quotation of $27K and I agreed to proceed despite feeling like I had been bait-and-switched by the dealer’s website. I was asked to come to the dealership to see the truck, which was to be a Black 2014 Tundra 4X4 Crewmax. Shawn had provided me a quotation of $just under $45K for the truck and I was having almost $11K in modifications done by 4-Wheel Parts (lift, wheels, tires, flares, bumpers, etc.). I agreed to the truck left a deposit check for $1K with Shawn. This amount binds the deal and allows the dealership to take me to court if I back out of the deal. I was asked to come back to “close” the deal to which Shawn and I had agreed and I returned a few days later (this is a 55 mile round trip from my work and 100 mile round trip from home), but the 4-Wheel Parts guy said that this was the place. I expected to close on the deal and get some crappy loaner to drive while my truck was being built out. Then the BS started. Prior to my arrival the second time, Alan, a floor manager, began calling me. Then The 4-Wheel Parts guy called me on behalf of the dealership manager Stephen S., arguably be Steven didn’t have the guts to call me himself. The all began back peddling about my trade. The wanted my trade, but they didn’t want to pay what they had agreed to pay for it. They also didn’t want to loan me a vehicle. Shawn propagated this BS and Alan continued to call me. When I went back the second time, nothing was done and I had wasted hours of my life and more miles on my trade. That evening Alan called me and cancelled my deal and wanted what he should do with my check. I told him to shred it, and since this was a want, not a need, I was little more than irritated. The next day, I decided that I did want my deal to continue and called Shawn to get it back going. I offered to rent my own vehicle and let them have my trade 2 weeks earlier than we had agreed previously. No response. The next day, I called Stephen S. and left a message for him, thinking that would assuredly get the deal going again, after all I had a deal and they were given a deposit. No response. The following day I called MARK H., the owner’s son who manages the dealership network. Same message, no response. In short, I would not recommend doing business with Fred Haas Toyota under any circumstances…EVER. They lied, and when I called them out on it, they ran away. Hope this review helps your decision to go elsewhere. As for 4-Wheel Parts…AWESOME to work with, awesome to deal with; professional and honest. Fred Haas Toyota - HORRIBLE. First Mod. Added Rear Bumper Cover on Our New Prius
by dorunron on 04/21/2014updated 05/22/2025I have used Fred Haas before to maintain our older Gen II Prius that we bought originally from AutoNation on the Gulf Freeway. I also have had a lot of work done at Tejas Toyota in Humble. After dealing with all three dealers, and service… departments I feel that Fred Haas is the leader in both "Sales and Service". I recently purchased a new 2013 Prius to replace our 2009 Prius which was getting close to running out of the "Hybrid Warranty". The reason for this service was to install the first modification on the new Prius. I added the rear bumper cover on the tail end of the Prius. This cover is very valuable and will add to the value of the car as well as protect the top of the bumper. Those who own a Prius will agree that the top of the bumper gets scratched over time when loading and unloading the rear hatch area. With the cover in place, those scratches are eliminated. Plus the cover looks great. Only comes in one color: Glossy Black. Fred Haas furnished the OEM part and installed it for a very reasonable fee of $45.00 labor. I am very pleased with the work and I will return in the future for the next modification which will be adding the body side moldings. I also intend to have Fred Haas service this vehicle for at least 3 years/36,000 miles. After that I will consult with my regular mechanic and see if he wants to service my new one like he did the old one. Frankly, by the time I buy the filters, synthetic oil and pay the regular mechanic to do the work I could simply have Fred Haas do it all. I don't think the price difference will be that much. One other thing I have to mention. The service department is very clean. I have not seen many shops with actual tile on the floor in the service areas. Plus the dealership itself is very clean, well lit, comfortable and has a very nice waiting area along with free coffee and soda. I am not sure but I think free Wi-Fi is available also. I recommend Ann and JP for service writers. The service area stays real busy, so I do suggest you call ahead and make an appointment. I have walked in first thing in the morning and gotten small jobs done quickly. But appointments do make things run smoother for all parties involved. I can't really say anything negative about Fred Haas. I won't discuss AutoNation. Tejas is not a bad place, but Fred Haas seems to take the cake in my book.Thank you for writing such a great review about our dealership! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

Disappointing Experience

He gave a reasonable price but he said he only has 3 left and can make it happen only if I go there in person. I told him to make sure we agree on the price and the… terms before I waste my time and gas to see him. He said yes. So I drove to the dealership and he was out to lunch. Okey, no big deal. I'll wait I said. He had his brother see me while he was out the the brother CAN'T FIND ANY OF THE 3 VEHICLES! so finally he comes back and shows me a corolla that was $2,500 morre. I was already skeptic. he insisted I test-drive it but I refused and asked him for the price. The typical "I'll-talk-to-my-manager" phrase came up. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and stayed. After 15 mins he came back and said: This is the best thing we can do about it". Showed me a 72-month payment term with 2.99% APR. I got up, shook his hand and tossed the paper in the trash can.Great Online service for sale quotes.
