  • Overpriced and dishonest

    Chris and Rosie 4/30/2016 Reason For Visit Sales (Used) "Bait and switch" So my wife and I had a miserable experience at this dealership due to the underhanded dealings of the sales staff. We had initially worked on a deal with a pickup that didn't work out and we parted no problem. The salesman then contacted us about the possibility of making a deal and saying they could show more flexibility. We told them specifically what we could do in terms of our top deal and they said " That's perfect and we can make it work, come in. " They even went as far as recording the exact conversation in the computer as we could oversee the transcript. We got there and they made us wait for forty five minutes because the salesman that we were there to see was working a deal on the same truck we were there to buy. I don't know if that was true or not or sales tactics but it was a bad start to a supposed done deal. We waited for them to do all the paperwork again and for the salesman to try to get us into two different trucks that we were not there to look at, Then once they came out with my he numbers we were astonished to see the same numbers we were shown the first time we left. After and hour and a half of them slick talking, valuing their kbb vehicle 4000 above fair purchase price and my vehicle 3000 below trade in they finally gave me my keys back and allowed me to leave. The worst part is the the guy Monty played like he was our friend and going to help us out. He knew that my wife has homework due , we had a hungry seventh old baby, and we were making a two hour drive without eating dinner to do a deal on this truck that he told us would go through. Once we got there he tried to tell us we said different things, when clearly he didn't know we were reading the transcript of the conversation right on his screen. I just hope others don't have to experience this car dealer game. They are not looking out for their customers in any way.

    I took my vehicle in to resolve a door opening issue for both front doors. It was extremely difficult to open, in fact I had to lower the front driver window and open from the outside. They adjusted the parts that opened the door. That was great, except, they did not solve the issue. It is a little better now, but still difficult to open. In addition, they took the handle section from the outside of the door to work on the issue. When they replaced it, they did not insure that it was tight and would not leak. It will leak at the first rain. I spent good money , however I am faced with their minimum charge to continue the repair. Plus I lack confidence in the workmanship. I am not sure I will ever return to Carr. I purchased that vehicle from them and had most repair work done by them. This is the first time Carr has failed to perform.

    I knew the type of car I wanted and had been shopping via the internet for what I wanted. When I saw this car on the internet I called about it. Sarah Kim answered the phone and from there she was the person who helped me purchase the car. Besides being knowledgeable about the process of selling- me buying- a car, she was efficient at her work. Yet more than anything she was quite friendly. I appreciated her throughout the whole of the purchasing process. Thank you

    I brought my2014 Silverado truck in because the electric door locks were rapidly locking/unlocking while I was driving. Nothing was found to be wrong because they could not reproduce the problem in the shop or on the road. Nothing was fixed but the problem has not occurred since it first happened a few days before I brought it in. I guess I will have to wait until it occurs again.

    My transmission on my 2011 Chevy Cruze went out and Carr Chevrolet absolutely took care of me. with in a matter a few days, I had my car back and it's now running better than ever. They are affordable and friendly.

    our salesman Ty Turner was outstanding.He was very helpful and professional.I was very impressed.However the person how handled our financing was not so great.Took way to long to meet up with us,was very disorganized even when we already was pre-approved for financing from our bank.But that is what you pay him to do. this process should not take 2 1/2 hours to preform.

    I bought a new car at Carr Chev so that I wouldn't have to deal with car repairs. I went back 5 times to get a tire fixed. Same tire leaked each time after a month or two. After two or three times at the latest they should have replaced it. After less than 25,000 miles with still tread left they tell me I need to replace all the tires because they never rotated them and the treads are thin so they can repair the slow leak. The Chev Cruz has quite a few recalls racking up as well. I won't buy Chev again and I will never buy from Carr again. If they can't fix a tire or know when to replace it then I don't want them around any car I own.

    This was the best car buying experience! We went in on a spur of the moment trip. No hassle, no pressure, was able to find us exactly the car, color exterior and interior, and all the features we wanted on a lot a bit away. We had another car until ours got there. The entire experience was wonderful! Thanks Marcos!

    This is the 2nd vehicle I have purchased from Carr. We still have the 1st one (a 1999 Tahoe). Their service department is the best! Competitive prices, loaner cars if needed or courtesy shuttle if not. When I wait for an oil change, it's never very long, even when they are busy. Comfortable lounge and lots of great vehicles to look at while waiting. Staff is courteous and friendly.

    If you know more than third grade math then the sales staff will not be able to keep up with you. You won't be welcome at their dealership. Our stay lasted all of 20 minutes and it was so terrible we will never return to Carr Chevrolet.

    Didn't get any work done. Had a service engine soon light on. Previously had 2 false codes. Would not just scan code. Wanted car all day. Story is very long and I have already written 4 letters. I believe it was a bait to have work that didn't need to be done, done.

    I purchased my 2012 Volt from the Internet Sales Manager at Carr chevrolet and had a very strait forward and wonderful purchase transaction. I would highly recomend you contact Andy in the Internet dept. if you are looking for a great deal on a new Chevrolet. I shopped 4 other local Chevrolet stores in the Portland market, only 3 responded and Carr was the lowest price by over a $1000.00 dollars to any of there competition.When I arrived at the dealership to pick my new Volt up it was ready to go as promised and all of the paperwork was completed in a very professional manner. Our sales rep. Andy explained all the features on our new Volt and paired our cell phones to the Bluetooth system on the Volt and also made sure the Onstar system was activated before we drove off the lot. Our experience was the best we have had and plan on returning to buy another car for our son. I highly recommend Carr Chevrolet and there Internet Sales Department to give you a great deal and very professional service.

    My husband and I purchased a new Silverado from Carr and it was unlike any experience we have ever had at a car dealership. The sales consultant, Patrick B., was extremely helpful,spent several hours with us making sure we found the perfect vehicle and not once did we feel pressured to make a purchase. We will definitely recomend Patrick and Carr Chevrolet to our friends.

    I stopped here this last weekend to look at the new Traverse. After doing my own research I thought this was the perfect vehicle that would fit my lifestyle but after visiting for awhile with the sales consultant we figured out that the Suburban would fit me and my family better than the Traverse would. This is the first dealership that I have been to that has salaried sales people and it shows. Patrick seemed genuinely interested in finding me the perfect vehicle rather than trying to just sell me something expensive. I thoroughly enjoyed this purchase and this will be the first place I go when I need another vehicle.

    I bought my Tacoma from them. They tried very hard to get me into a vehicle I wanted. I wanted a Tundra, but they acquanted me with the best car I have ever had. They were nice and listened to all my concerns and even dropped the price by 1,000 bucks. By my experience I would recommend them...but they are a dealership and every one dealership has their sharks. Im glad the guy I dealt with wasn't one of those. Thanks Carr for my best friend.

    After purchasing a new vehicle 5 years ago I was looking to downsize to a smaller car. Tried to get the saleswoman to give me some preliminary numbers over the phone to see if making the 60 mile one-way trip was worth the time. She asked for me to send an email of all the options my vehicle had and she would run the numbers. She assumed the vehicle had a lot of miles so she deducted for miles the vehicle did not have. She also did not pay attention to anything I sent her. Unlike the last time I bought a vehicle, they would do nothing about numbers until I went onsite. After hitching up a trailer, also to be used in the trade, we drove to the site. Long story short, we spent 3 hours and still had no numbers. The saleswoman even told me, at one point, that the sales manager was not sure I could afford the used car I was looking at. Kind of funny since I am already paying for around $45k and looking to reduce the overall debt to $14k. After the 4th hour the sales staff proceeded to tell me that it would take a large down to do the deal. We had to ask several times what the amount was. They still did not want to produce any numbers and once again they proceeded to tell me about my bank account and that we would not be able to come up with the down. Funny thing is we had figured that the deal would require the large down and had the money in my bank due to income tax refund. Carr would not give me a buy bid breakdown so that I could go to my own bank and purchase the vehicle. They wanted me to use them for financing. I can see why the vehicle I was interested in had sat on their lot for over 70 days. I recommend anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle from this Dealership to read the reviews from all rating sites and see how this dealerships ratings have gone down substantially over the past few years.

    I purchase a 2014 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71 this september. I did not have it in my possession even 24 hrs before the rear power window malfunctioned and broke. Everything started off fine, they picked it up, promised to fix it and gave me a service loaner. They promised me they order the part to be overnighted and that I'd have it in 2 days. Day 2 came around, no part, but oh the part was on its way and they were SURE it'd be fixed the next day. Well we're at day 8, parts still being overnighted. Its over promising, under delivering, and boy do they sure stand buy their product and will do anything it takes to make it right...other than doing anything at all. As long as it will take nothing. Not so much as even an offer for free car washes. If you like Higher pressure sales, poor service, hollow words, failed promises and a sub par product, this is your place! Otherwise please heed these words and go some where else. Buying a new vehicle should be a great experience and up to this point I've never had a single complaint with Toyota, Honda, or VW's.
