  • Bad experience

1 out of 5 starsby Wilsonj on 12/03/2024

Had an oil change and recall for the rear end locking up done and when i got my truck back both rear tpms sensors are not working. The response I got was the sensors need to be replaced for a cost of almost $400. Everything was fine when I drove it in then they both go out as soon as they update the software for the rear end. Sounds a little weird to me.

  • Replaced Headlamp

5 out of 5 starsby TuckTech on 02/07/2024

My headlight was out and water was leaking into my headlamp. The service crew was able to find the part and got everything finished the very next day. Great job!

  • "Exceptional Service and Seamless Experience at Carr Chevrolet"

    5 out of 5 starsby Chris L on 11/30/2023

I had a fantastic experience with Carr Chevrolet and their exceptional service. Will Siauw, our sales representative, went above and beyond to help us find the perfect truck. Even though most of our communication was done via text and phone, Will was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided valuable assistance throughout the process. When we went to the dealership to pick up the truck, everything was well-organized and efficient. I highly recommend Carr Chevrolet and Will Siauw for their outstanding service and professionalism.
    • Chris, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Carr Chevrolet! Thanks again for the recommendation, and have an amazing day!

  • Shady dealership

1 out of 5 starsby Carrie on 07/26/2023

Went to buy a 2022 ram 2500, wasted countless hours and drive time all to find out they where trying to sell us a truck that had been in an accident. After demanding the car fax on multiple occasions it was finally provided. The vehicle had been labeled as having minor damage due to paint scratches and come to find out it was leased. I was concerned with rust on a one year old truck and asked where it came from. All we could get was “local”, I kept pressing, “the address for the registered owner was in tualatin”, no the leasing dealership was in tualatin, the car was clearly owned at the coast after I crawled under it. The truck was filthy and the paint was buffed so bad it had swirl scratches like they did it with a dirty sponge, rust, tire pressure light on (on the side it was damaged), missing an end cap to the step side (also the side it was damaged on) didn’t even vacuum it out (mind you we showed up with intent to buy that moment and they knew this). After further persistent digging they provided the full disclosure report. Tail light replaced, bumper replaced, paint fixed. Obviously had been rear ended or backed into something so hard that it caused substantial damage that they as the dealership didn’t report because it was a leased vehicle they bought at auction (from the looks of reviews they do this a lot and prey on people that don’t sit and dig at them for hours to get the actual story out of them) they half ass fixed this truck themselves and are selling this car as clean and clear. We walked, and on our way out the truck was parked next to our car, the tail gate wasn’t sitting level in the vehicle, the entire bed is potentially bent and they are selling this as crab and clear. The shadiest of dealerships, my whole thought sitting there was that they obviously make their money on preying on young kids who are buying their first cars themselves and saddle them with these lemons that will ruin them financially. I hope the owner and salesmen there who are fully aware of what they are doing have the lives they deserve.
    • Carrie, thank you for leaving us feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your experience was not a positive one. Please contact us at (503) 644-2161 when you have an opportunity, and we will be more than happy to try and turn your experience around.

  • 2023 Equinox RS AWD

    5 out of 5 starsby J. Reed on 05/13/2023

Alex was quick to reply to our online questions, and was super friendly to work with when we arrived at the dealership. I'm immune-compromised and was really happy Alex and the other staff were both thoughtful and considerate and wore masks while we were there. The listing for the Equinox correctly described the vehicle, it was exactly what we were looking for! We were grateful the car was detailed inside and out before it was handed over to us. Alex even gave us a voucher to fill up the gas tank down the street, nice touch! We're definitely happy to recommend this dealer to our friends and family!!
    • Reed, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Carr Chevrolet! Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything additional we can do for you.

  • Customer Recovered!

4 out of 5 starsby LanaTeeDubya on 01/02/2023

Equinox was suddenly acting strange. Sputtering and dying. Spoke with Brandon via phone who recommended I get battery checked ASAP at a parts store as a first step. Did that- battery was ok. Then called back and Brandon helped me set up an appointment. I managed to drive the vehicle into the shop (it died multiple times on the way) and made it 30 mins before closing. Shop was closing early due to New Years Eve holiday and I had prepared to not have vehicle looked at/repaired for 4+ days, arranged for alternate transport to work and disruption to my life due to broken down car. But- employee Tyler Bradshaw came through like a wizard and made sure my terrible year ended on a bright note! He quickly diagnosed the issue and said he was going to be staying over a bit past closing anyway and could help. Was able to replace solenoids immediately and get me on my way within the hour. I have to say, I’ve had several disappointing experiences with this business in the past and had not planned on continuing to come to Carr for maintenance. This changed everything for me. THANK YOU TYLER for caring about me as an individual customer. You really made a difference.

    4 out of 5 starsby Tonka12 on 07/01/2018

Overall my experience was good. However, do to the last visit cracking my housing unit for the transfer case I am questioning the quality of work being performed on my truck. I feel that this was a pretty big miss on Chevy's part. I'm just glad I wasn't going on my summer trip we always do which would have resulted in much more damage.
  • Sold us an unreliable car.

    1 out of 5 starsby Mcherry55 on 06/08/2018

Well initially we were happy but now we wish we woulda never went to Carr Chevrolet. Turbo went out on our car within a week of buying. They fixed it and all was good and we were willing to look past that. Now we have had internal engine issues and the car has been in the shop at the dealer almost a week. They havent called once with an update. Im worried about keeping this car after two major failures before we even had to do an oil change. Carr wont pay enough on trade to be able to trade it back in so now im stuck with an unreliable vehicle for my wife and newborn son. They also failed to clean the car at all before we bought it. When I asked about that they seemed surprised and acted like that should never happen but did not offer to make it right. Overall we are unhappy and feel like our car isnt going to last and Carr Chevrolet couldn't care less.
  • Bad customer service

    1 out of 5 starsby Chad468 on 04/07/2018

0 stars would be given if possible. Their parts department are rude and refuse to give OEM parts numbers. Obviously your out of luck unless you buy from them. I've left complaints with the parts dept. and general managers. Neither of them responded. They are a terrible representative of the GM company and I'll be talking to GM corporate also. Service dept are pompous and don't listen to customers. They are treated as ignorant.
    • Chad, we understand the frustration your experience has caused and appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we can improve our customer service. Sometimes we are bound by the restrictions of the manufacturer's policies and that can create confusion and misunderstanding. We deeply regret the inconvenience it has caused. Please know that your feedback is important and we will work internally to ensure better communication moving forward. Thank you again.

  • Beware of Carr Service Department

1 out of 5 starsby Scammed on 01/13/2018

Long story short:In November I took car in for oil change and told them my car had been leaking oil. They changed oil and said they found no leak. Days later car still leaking oil. I call service and they tell me it's common for a little leakage after an oil change.January leak really bad, I take car in, they tell me both gaskets are leaking and the oil pan has a dent and has to be replaced plus new brakes (the brakes I knew needed replacing). The cost: $3,000. I declined service, took it to an independent mechanic who told me there absolutely was no dent in oil pan, it did not need to be replaced. He said "this dealership is know for this kind of stuff". Beware if you have service done at Carr. If in doubt, get a second opinion. Glad I did.
  • Scam or [non permissible content removed] you choose

1 out of 5 starsby deedubs on 10/30/2017

We got almost to the end of the buying process and this was our second visit to look at a used Honda Pilot. We asked several times if the car was in an accident and they always said "no." Finally in the midst of 20+ signatures a paper appears that says something about full disclosure and a list of repairs done. Things like front hood, passenger right door, driver right door, front radiator mount, front bumper. Pretty obvious to us that the car was in an accident. Three different people there denied it and finally the finance guy said "we don't know, it could have been involved in an altercation." I said that sounds like an accident to me. They continued to deny it. When I asked why they would need to replace the hood they said "maybe someone sat on it, maybe rock chips." I said oh yeah I bet the hood hinges were bad and he shook his head and said yup most likely. So after some research and a chat with Beaverton Honda where we did end up buying our used 2014 Pilot, we learned that they most likely bought the car on auction with the damage and then did all the repairs and put it on their lot. Carfax we learned would not catch the accident since it was purchased from an auction. They wasted 2+ hours of our time and the experience was horrible. It really felt like the slimy used car salesman trick to slip in the "disclosure" form in the midst of all the other important signatures. They knew exactly what they were doing here and I could tell something was up by their nervous behavior leading up to the paper being slipped in. Do not even step foot on their car lot and stay away from Jesus Martinez the salesman that claims he had no idea about the "disclosure."

Total lack of quality control. Dented new vehicles, shiny swirl marks all around and more. Carr Chevy falls short delivering a new vehicle and when you return to have things fixed, they only make it worse.

  • Great Experience leasing Chevy Bolt EV

5 out of 5 starsby lmccart on 02/13/2017

I knew what I wanted and sent inquiries to other Portland dealers. For those that had the specific model in stock, only Carr was willing to match the national Chevy.com lease price from the calculator. Others wanted more. No haggling, just the price I asked for. And everyone was super business like. Able to complete the process within hours of my first email.
  • Nice people can't save an outdated model.

2 out of 5 starsby joshuaeven on 01/08/2017

Super frustrating experience with pre-ordering a Chevy Bolt. Salesmen completely uneducated about the vehicle. Different info from different people. Long waits for paperwork, the typical ...let me go and check with my manager... for any real decision or update. The people were nice, but this model of franchised car dealerships is outdated and inefficient. They don't have the customer's best interest in mind, at a company level.

I made a fair market offer for a2008 ZO6 and asked a salesman what he thought , he said I'd show you the finish line and pointed to the driveway telling me to leave . Very rude to treat a buyer like that .

  • Scam Artists!

1 out of 5 starsby Stangry on 06/24/2016

On June 20, 2016 I co-signed with my step-son for the purchase of a used 4x4, which he purchased from Carr Chevy. The dealership offered him a THIRD of the actual trade-in value of his first truck. Needless to say, that vehicle is now for sale privately. While on the lot, I spotted a very nice used Mustang, which I decided to try to purchase. Again, I was offered 1/3 of the actual trade-in value of my current vehicle! But, that's not all. They suggested I make up the difference with a cash down payment of at least $10,000! They actually wanted me to pad their profit with TEN THOUSAND of my hard-earned dollars! These people are scam artists! Do NOT do business with them under any circumstances!
