    We worked w/Brandi online to purchase a car. She was outstanding. We had sent an email to all Honda dealers in the area. We asked for best price and that we would be in touch. We didn't want a number of emails coming to us from… dealership. She was the only one who did just that. the other dealerships sent numerous emails after sending best price. She listened, sent best price and waited for us to contact her. That is why we went with her. Joe Mancini is probably the most honest salesman I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is how great salespeople used to be. It was such a pleasure working with him as well. Santiago was a gentleman that was also outstanding. I have already told 8 people of my great experience at your dealership. I love my new car!!

    Our sales rep Mike Horn was very professional an pleasant to deal with. The sales manager made us a great deal on our Odyssey, we had a little problem with the van the first night but your service rep got me right in the next morning an had… these tech figure out the issue, hopefully everything will be good now. An this makes veh number 6 that we have purchased from your dealership. Always very satisfied.

    After having a bad car buying experience the last time I purchased a vehicle, I went to quite a few dealerships before I found a salesperson I felt comfortable working with. Mark Wilde instantly made me feel comfortable when I first met… him. He is very personable and not the least bit pushy, as many car salesman seem to be. Glenn from financing helped me get a great rate and was great to work with as well. When I picked up my Honda Pilot, Ellen showed me all the great features. I HIGHLY recommend Mark Wilde and Rensselaer Honda to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle!

    I submitted the question for the price quote for 2016 Honda CRV and Audrey, internet sales, contacted me promptly and gave me the prices details that should be. I visited the dealer shop and she brought me to see Ray Ramirez,another sales… guy for test drive. Ray is very nice person, knowledgeable and patient with my questions while on test driving. We discussed the prices (I have a car trade-in) and this dealer is willing to offer the good price (Thanks Frank if I remember correctly, a manager) to beat the prices from other dealers. After I accepted the deal, Nick gave me the 101 overviews of the car features and technology outside and inside that let me catch up everything in a short time. Also, they provide the wheel locks, free oil changes, tire rotations and state car inspections which are the nice giveaways. The whole buying process took times until the end and I'm very happy to do business with this dealer.

    I recently just signed for a 3 year lease for a new 2016 Honda Civic. Cody Bleau was our (myself & my mothers) sales representative who was very professional and patient with our time and decision making process. He made me feel very… relaxed and comfortable with making my decision as he walked me through the steps of leasing a car, as this was my first ever car purchase! I was set on a "white" civic and he made sure he could do that for me! I would highly recommend Cody Bleau as your salesman, if purchasing a car through Honda !! He was awesome! I would also like to thank Nick Cappiello for his time in informing me on how the car worked and all of the different features it came with. He described everything very well and made it much of an easier process! Cody and Nick did a wonderful job and made this very comfortable and exciting at the same time !! The staff at Rensselaer Honda seem like very friendly and professional people.

    I stopped by Rensselaer Honda looking to buy a used Honda CR-V. I found one I liked and their sales representative Audrey was very kind. I live about an hour away and so does my mechanic. When I asked them if my mechanic could inspect the… car, their sales manager Joe said that that wasn't an option because he was too far away. When asked if I could have assurance that I could reverse the sale, they gave me a song and dance about having title trouble, which is a lie and borders on consumer fraud. They flatly wouldn't let me inspect the vehicle with a mechanic of my choosing, and this shows them to either be dishonest, incompetent, or unsure of the quality of their service department. In any of those cases I refuse to buy from them. Both Mohawk Honda and Lia Honda said they are willing to let me take a car to my mechanic for inspection with a deposit and an employee escort. I would stay away from Rensselaer Honda unless you like to gamble on the quality of your purchase.
    • Our goal is to provide the best possible service to all our customers. Yes we said no to what would have been about a three plus hour trip for one of sales consultants to travel out of state with you. We did offer to let you take it to one of many local mechanics of your choice. As far as the Title goes we would have to sign it over to you. Then you would have to go Massachusetts DMV to give them the paperwork including title to get plates to drive the vehicle.

  • TERRIBLE SERVICE

    I purchased a 2013 Acura MDX a little over a week ago (43K miles). I had been doing research for a couple of months...already test drove similar vehicles, knew exactly what I was looking for. I saw the vehicle I wanted online at… Rensselaer Honda. I immediately contacted the online sales person, exchanged a few emails, and text messages, went in that Saturday morning for a test drive. I was a very easy sell to say the least! Our salesman was fairly new...but nice! It was a cold morning...and the test drive route is very short, on all back roads (nothing over 45MPH). We had the heater fan blowing full blast, so couldn't hear any abnormal noises coming from the vehicle. I made the purchase and picked the vehicle up later that day. As I drove it for 2.5 days I noticed multiple things that sounded/felt weird. A vibration in the steering column when turning, an issue with the RPM's between 1-2K, a dragging noise from the brakes (although I was told the brakes were brand new), also a few chips in the paint, which I didn't notice until later that evening (once the frost was off the vehicle). I made an appointment brought the vehicle in...I was given a rental car (Only good thing that came from this experience). They had my car for 2 days...trying to get a hold of them, was terrible, emailed the service adviser Blake, and he never returned my emails. He called me ONCE, one time to tell me the status of the vehicle....which was, NOTHING WAS WRONG!!! Although I've done tons of research, and these vehicles are infamous for torque converter and transmission issues....they refused to give me a print out of the vehicles data showing that the TC was operating properly. They told me the vibration in the steering column was "operating as designed"....and they never even addressed the fact that the vehicle had damage to the front driver bumper. I spoke with 3 different Honda AND Acura dealers.....they say that these issues do not sound "normal"! The customer service I received was TERRIBLE, awful....I wouldn't take my scooter to this placed to be fixed! Not to mention, my salesman, Ryan....I thought was so nice, riiiiight! I would text him asking questions and letting him know of the issues....I got one line responses....and when I told him how unhappy I was he NEVER RESPONDED!!!! Haven't heard from him since! I emailed the GM, and a sales manager letting them know of my experience....and still almost a week later I have not heard a peep from anyone!!!! I'm not asking for much....just acknowledge the terrible experience I had, that's all! So I am doing as any unhappy customer is...I'm telling EVERYONE I can about the awful experience with this dealership. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE....and especially DO NOT GO THERE FOR VEHICLE SERVICE!

    Dropped my car off for repairs, and they never finished that day as they said. Went to get the car the next day and there is a huge dent in the front quarter panel and the bumper has popped out. The service manager comes out to look at… the damage, walks around the car pointing out other dings, says I don't take care of my car and that it has been hit a lot, that I can't prove they did it and suggests, basically says I am lying, and tells me to just take it to my insurance company. I just can't believe a dealer from whom I have bought a number of cars did this. I have no recourse other than never buying another car from these folks. I encourage people to boycott this dealer.

    I search before I came to Rensselaer Honda to purchase a vehicle. I am very happy with the CRV. My sales person Shannon Holman was so helpful and very polite. She gave me a really good deal and explained everything to me. I would more than… likely come back and buy another vehicle from her.

    I would highly not recommend purchasing from this dealership. I bought a new car from here and at less than 1k I had minor issues with the car and they refused to contact me back so they could be addressed. They brushed my concerns off like… they were no important. I was talked down to by the manager there like I was a typical woman who didn't know anything about cars. I just wanted the minor concerns I had with my car addressed. I can't imagine what they would do if something major were to happen to the vehicle. I contacted Honda corporate to got try to get them to help resolve the issue. This only made things worse and they still refused to help. As a promotion when you buy a vehicle with this dealership they offer 3 oil changes, 2 tire rotations and 3 state inspections free. They also offer to pick the vehicle up while you work so you don't have to wait for it. This was a huge selling point for me. (Many other local dealers offer this program too but don't offer to pick it up.) They now refuse to honor this because I took the situation to corporate. It's not about the money or the free things I was promised. This is about how unethical it is for them to promise me something to get me to buy a car from them and then to not honor their promise. They're actually refusing it. They refused first to even look at my concerns about the new car, and now they are refusing to honor this promotion. The promotion is still valid and they will still offer it to new customers. Honda corporate cannot force them to do anything (of course!) Everyone here is extremely unprofessional including the president Andy J who I have requested call me numerous times to discuss this situation. He has refused to do so and has not answered my emails that I have sent as well. (After googling him because no one at the dealership would provide me with his info or his name.) I have never had such an unprofessional experience at a dealership or been treated this way after making such a large purchase! Unbelievable!!!

    After purchasing my last four Honda's from a different Honda dealer - I returned to Rensselaer Honda after quite a few years away. Rensselaer Honda was one of the only dealers in the area who responded with internet price quotes (and… quickly) I might add. They matched a price from a competing dealer - and even gave an estimated trade in value (after I provided my VIN number) without me even setting foot inside the dealership. Once there - I negotiated an even better price on my trade - and received an excellent interest rate as promised. The sales staff with the internet department (Shannon) was reasonably friendly, and they worked to earn my business. All in all - not bad at all.

    I solicited six e-quotes from local Honda dealers. Rensselaer Honda was the lowest bid. They initially did not have the exterior color of my choice but were able to locate one for me. Anna is the best; her attention to detail, knowledge… of the vehicle and follow up are exemplary! Would definitely purchase from Rensselaer Honda again.

    My husband and I negotiated the purchase of this car over the internet. It was an absolute pleasure working with this dealership, and Anna Puzier, an internet salesperson there. She was very prompt in responding to all questions and… requests, and very professional in her handling of our transaction. She followed through on every detail, and got back to me with specific details and status of the items we were working. Once I decided what car I wanted, I solicited quotes from over 10 Honda Dealers in the upstate region, and of the 10 or so I dealt with, Anna & only one other salesperson served me with the customer service I would expect from a dealership when trying to win business, and assist a customer with a large purchase. The majority of salespeople I encountered were either unresponsive altogether, slow to respond, and/ or arrogant, condescending, and unwilling to state a fair and competitive price in writing. I have to wonder how these dealerships stay in business. I was pleasantly relieved when Rensselaer Honda offered me the best price from the time of our first correspondence, and Anna promptly went to work to cover all of the details. Most dealers wanted to play the "tell me the best deal you got, and I'll beat it by $100 game. This dealership offered the best total price (new car + trade allowance) up front, with no hardball negotiating required. We did have a misunderstanding in regard to the installation of non-OEM equipment. I requested a car starter be installed, assuming the dealer would use Honda OEM equipment. When I got the car home, and discovered the starter system was not what I thought I ordered, they were great about resolving the problem in a way that was amenable to me. They used an aftermarket brand to save money on the installation cost. I chose to return the car in exchange for another without a starter(was worried about using non-OEM equipment over the long haul). They took car of all the details, and the exchange of cars took about 5 minutes. I was not asked for any kind of a restock fee, and they had my refund check (for the starter and tax) all prepared, it was simple. I was impressed with the ease of the swap, and the fact that the dealer was willing to do whatever it took to insure my experience was a positive one. Anna told me they once had a customer who decided a week after taking possession of a new car that the interior color wasn't quite what they envisioned, and complained to the dealer, and they even exchanged that car to make sure that the customer was please with their purchase. This dealer will be first on my list when it's time for the next purchase.

  • Pretty Decent New Car Experience

    We worked with Somer at Rensselaer Honda for the purchase of our '08 Civic EX-L. We're relatively frequent car buyers, and make a purchase every other year or so, so we're pretty familiar with the process, and won't buy if it's a.) not a… good deal and b.) not treated with respect. Somer was excellent, and I think a truly nice person (or a really good schmoozer). The sales floor was relaxed, and the sales staff were smiling. We made an "internet" purchase, which may have a lot to do with our level of satisfaction, but overall, I think they were top notch. We bought a 2005 Accord from Keeler, and on the return purchase, they were downright rude and condescending. Give Rensselaer a try. We weren't sure... but it turned out ok :-)
