Awaiting vehicle
by Apple on 04/29/2025
They sent me paperwork that wasn’t filled out expecting me to sign it! Just to explain this: What I’m saying is I could’ve signed it and they could fill out/in whatever they wanted when they received it back, making it look like I approved… it!
I asked for different policies explaining their warranties and never received them, but did receive the page that said 6 of 6 to sign off that I agree with them and accepted them! I have requested the other five pages and still have yet to hear back on what I’m actually signing for!
Communication has been beyond horrible!!
I had an added $400 anti-theft policy on my buyers agreement or buyers contract when I received it to sign! I don’t recall asking for it, nor why I would ask for it!
It appeared they charged me Sales Tax not only on their buyers agreement, but also on my Title and Registration Application, so in other words “Charged Double Taxes!!”
This is just a handful of the dozens of errors I found in the paperwork that was sent to me!!

Very good price on a 2015 Legacy
by alapitka on 12/04/2014I dislike buying new cars. It's been 12 years since my last purchase. That being said, my experience was fine. I used the Costco no haggle service. I got an excellent price on the 2015 Legacy. I didn't get a very good price on my… trade-in. That is mostly my fault because I waited until the last minute to get it it appraised by the dealer. The sales person offered various services and options. When I said I wasn't interested in them, there was no pressure to buy. That is what I expect from a good sales person. If I were pressured, I would have taken my business elsewhere. They took a lot of time to explain all of the features of the new care and even set up the cell phone. I would do business with them again.A great place to buy a Suburu from
by nchesanow on 11/23/2014Got a top-of-the-line, loaded 2015 Outback for $2400 off by going through TrueCars, which is pretty good considering that the car's so hot there's a 4-month wait for it. Salesperson was excellent. Finance manager was low pressure. Liked the… fact that I received a 45-day reprieve on my first payment, that the dealer license plate frames were chrome instead of plastic, and I even got a very nice dealer keyring in the bargain. Highly recommended.Subaru Review
by murphydenise on 10/07/2014My car buying experience was smooth and pleasant from start to finish. It was a pleasure dealing with everyone at Paul Miller Subaru.do not know what they are doing
by crtrfxr on 09/08/2014Going on 9 months of my engine light on after $2200 for service that required a broken "wire" under the dash to be found as well as change of spark plugs, i was told to check my oil every 500 miles, and that they cannot figure out why my… engine light is on except to say well it is showing a misfire code and they are going to have to take my engine apart. then they extremely low balled a trade in value when i asked about buying a new car. Never going back. Horrible experience. Heard that from many others as well after the fact. All that AND a free breakfast
by RochelleRed on 04/21/2014updated 09/03/2014It's great to have a dealership that actually cares. They greet you and they mean it, they make you feel welcome, and you get breakfast. The service is quick (especially when you are waiting) and the work is done very well. When I need to… trade in Subaru #2, I will definitely go back to get Subaru #3 from Paul Miller. Looking forward to that experience!Excellent dealership

by pilothonda on 08/01/2013updated 05/28/2025Great experience buying from Sharon C. at Paul Miller Subaru. I had done a lot of research and test drove a friends 2014 Forester, when I decided to buy without visiting showrooms. I had several bad experiences via phone and internet with a… few other NJ dealers. When Sharon called, she immediately gave me a very competitive price and sent me an e-mail with the breakdown of the OTD price. She was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. No hard sell/told me to think it over and call her if I was interested. I called her an hour later and we finalized the deal. She promised me when I came to pick up the car, that it would take less than an hour (I've heard that before.) She was 100% accurate. In and out of showroom in 55 minutes, of which 30 minutes was spent looking at car and programming bluetooth for phone. Met with business Mgr for less than 15 minutes. He offered me several different extended warranty packages which I declined. Again, no hard sell and a pleasure to deal with. This is what a car buying experience should be like. I've bought many new cars over the years and this was by far the best experience I've ever had. Buy your new Subaru at Paul Miller Subaru!Bait and switch
by jerseyneil on 04/11/2014updated 05/28/2025Saw a 2001 Civic advertised at this dealership for $3000. I planned on purchasing a cheap car for my newly licensed daughter. I live an hour and a half away and called the dealership and spoke to a salesman. He said the car is still… available. I told him that I am an hour and a half away and to verify that car is still available. Showed up to find out that the car was sold the previous day. Salesman then tried to sell me another car on his lot. Wasted my entire day. Watch out for the bait and switch game.A service department with service
by LenFromNewark on 03/21/2014updated 05/28/2025Brought my Outback in for oil change. Eveeything managed very well from accepting the car at the desk to finishing the job in less than an hour. Also, the car wash was a nice, added service. Waiting area comfortable and clean with coffee… and bagels and the price for the oil change was less than the quickie lube place in my town. Good work Paul M.Never Buy From Paul Miller Subaru
by rbk2013 on 10/06/2013updated 05/28/2025My husband and I went to the dealership today to buy a 2014 Forester. The 'store' would not let us test drive the vehicle without entering our personal information into their "safe" computer system. We wanted to give them our driver's… licenses to copy and hold while we drove the car, but would not allow them to keep a record of our information until we bought. The manager came over and said he would prefer not to sell us a car if we wouldn't let him put our private information into the computer prior to the test drive. We told this "manager" we had purchased 2 Audi's from P.M. Audi and asked if he knew Peter W. our salesman at Audi. He said "yes, Peter was the number 1 salesman"!! I said great since I purchased 2 Cabriolets from Peter and had sent him a friend who purchased a Cabriolet. He still let my husband and I leave and wouldn't let us test drive the car! We live 5 minutes from this dealership but drove to Morristown and will buy there. I hope Paul M reads this and lets this "manager" go if he wants to improve his business.Subaru owner since 2008
by SandraAnn on 02/06/2014updated 05/28/2025Always been pleased with customer service at Subaru (even with change of owners). Easy to schedule, easy to work with, very convenient in location for me and a very comfortable, user-friendly waiting area.Excellent car buying experience
by sbs017 on 06/06/2014updated 05/28/2025Sales consultant Sam K was extremely helpful and flexible.Terrible
by endingstrife on 05/06/2014updated 05/28/2025This was the absolute worst car experience I've ever had, and I've bought 8 cars. I'm in Michigan and found this dealership through eBay. They just got in an 07 Acura RDX which was exactly what I was looking for. I called them, asked about… the condition. They told me everything was great, the fluids were brought back to stock, the car looked and drove great, blah blah blah. My dad was in New Jersey right around this time, so he went to pick it up for me. While test driving it, a transmission error appeared on the nav. Big red flag... They looked at it and found that the car had no issues, so they said. To be safe, my dad convinced them to give me a 30 day tranny warranty. Hesitantly, they did. Once the car was in my possession, I brought it to my local Acura dealership, to make sure the transmission was okay. Lo and Behold, the transmission didn't need to be repaired, but it actually needed a replacement. We contacted them (Brian G specifically) and told them the issue since we had the warranty on the car. He didn't believe us! Why would an Acura dealer lie? We then asked the Acura dealership for proof to send to this terrible Subaru dealership. We sent that over and still they wouldn't fix the car. What's the point of a warranty when they don't back it up? Finally, they offered to take the car back, but they wouldn't fix it. What car dealership ever takes cars back? It was very fishy. They either knew the car was crap, they were trying to avoid a lawsuit because we had the proof of warranty, or they didn't think we would accept. Needless to say, we returned it. Then it was a huge pain to get my money back. It took about a week and a half to get it. What a pain in the butt. NEVER BUY FROM THEM, THEY'RE [non-permissible content removed]! TL;DR - I bought a car with a warranty, it had a bad transmission. Brian would not back up the warranty. We ended up returning the car and were out about $1,000 in shipping/repair costs. by sizzy333 on 08/03/2011updated 05/28/2025Most of us dislike the process of buying a new car. It is contentious, stressful and you usually end up feeling worn down and taken advantage of. The opposite was true at Paul Miller Subaru. I contacted them for a specific vehicle - the… 2011 Forester- and was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. I had done a lot of research and considered myself somewhat educated in the process. They seemed to appreciate that and answered all of my questions. They did not waste my time and we were able to come to a fair deal in a very reasonable amount of time. They were also very nice to my 18 year old son who was with me during the process of negotiating for and picking up the car. I would recomend this dealership in a minute and when one of my sons is looking for a car, I would feel very comfortable calling Sharon or Ron and doing business again. You get a feeling about people and these are good people..I am very happy I bought my car from Paul Miller Subaru.disappointing experience
by zaff on 06/09/2011updated 05/28/2025we made an apptmt and the salesman was too busy to talk to us. The alternate who picked up the opportunity , even seeing that we did our homework on consumer report refused to negotiate or show us the invoice. we left and bought elsewhereNothing short of a Nightmare Experience
by buzz3918 on 11/15/2011updated 05/28/2025Do NOT buy a car from this dealer (Used or New). I bought a pre-owned car from them that had nothing but problems within the first 3 weeks (6 different problems to be exact). They will sell u an unsafe car and promise everything has been… checked and is fine, just to get cars sold by the end of the month. The General Manager does not know the Warranty and will argue with you about what is not covered so you are forced to pay for repairs on a vehicle you just purchased in excess of thousands of dollars. They will tell you prices to fix your vehicle that are easily 2-3 times more than your local mechanic will. They will not have a loaner car for you to use when your car breaks. The General Manger will treat you with disrespect and blame the problems with your car on you and your driving (All of this while you still have temp tags). As far as I am concerned the car I bought is a Lemon and I will be getting rid of it as soon as possible. If you are expecting Quality & Professionalism, you will not find it at Paul Miller Subaru, especially from the upper management. I would recommend any other dealer in the tri-state area.
