  • 🚨 Buyer Beware — Deceptive Practices at Right Honda 🚨

    I purchased a 2022 Highlander from Right Honda in February 2025 and had one of the most misleading and disappointing car-buying experiences I’ve ever encountered. I want to share what happened so others can avoid falling into the same trap. Despite agreeing on a $30,000 pre-tax price and putting down a $20,000 down payment, I was suddenly told I’d need to pay $1,000/month for 3 years, which added up to $36,000 — to finance just $10,000 + warranty! This math made zero sense. I showed them online loan calculations (~$450/month), and only then did they “negotiate” it down to $560 — still way above what was fair. Shortly after, I noticed a chip and misalignment on the driver-side door, likely from a prior accident. The dealer (Hector) dismissed it. Customer service (Tara) followed up only to say there’s nothing they could do. Months later, a rep (Danny) called to offer a trade-in and promised to “make it right” with 25% above KBB value for my car. The KBB range was $29K–$32K, and I requested $35K in value. He agreed — only to later lowball me at $23,000, breaking every promise. When confronted, he and his manager presented two fake value printouts from different cars (different mileages!) and couldn’t justify them when called out. They ended the conversation in shameful silence. This dealership uses bait-and-switch tactics, manipulative financing, and empty promises. From hidden accident issues to dishonest trade-in appraisals, they repeatedly acted in bad faith. 🔴 STAY AWAY from Right Honda. Their practices are unethical, misleading, and downright deceptive. Don’t trust their numbers, and don’t let them pressure you. I regret ever stepping into their showroom.

    I hope this dealership was filming a prank show on the day we visited. Otherwise, these folks are morally bankrupt. They told lie after lie, and the manager on duty, Sam, was completely unapologetic when I showed him how the numbers he guaranteed me were completely different from the price he was trying to get me to sign on. The good news, Sam will have no idea who I am, because I am incredibly confident that he uses these tactics with all of his customers. Avoid this place.

  • The WORST customer service experience!!

    I received the worst customer service experience while purchasing a car at Right Honda. Do NOT purchase car from this dealership. I would never recommend purchasing a car from Right Honda. I worked with Chance Lamont he did not know how many buttons worked in the car and responded to my questions with “I don’t know” and didn’t bother to find out the answer for me. I asked about when the last oil change was done on the car Chance didn’t know and when I asked for documentation of it he didn’t provide it. Chance tricked me into paying a higher list price and sales tax to get more for my trade in. I paid $33,673 total and the car was originally listed for $31,888. There were 2 chips in the windshield that he didn’t tell me about before we talked numbers. He didn’t explain to me about the warranties on the car I had to bring it up. I tried to ask him questions about the car and he completely ignored me, turned his back from me, and walked away. I asked him about the contact information for roadside assistance once again he didn’t know their number and laughed in my face and told me to Google it. Chance said he “had a dinner to get to” and left me in the lot to drive off with the car I was so disrespected with many of my questions unanswered. I was also offered a package to tint the windows and coat the leather seats. I explicitly said I didn’t want that package. As I was in the finance office I discovered the windows were tinted and a coat was put on the seats and the list price was more than it was originally listed for. Walter Mundt, the finance manager, was also very rude and rushing me to sign the papers. He was very inpatient pushing one paper after another in front of me not giving me time to fully read what I was signing. I decided to go back to the dealer the next day to get some questions answered, but they still didn’t provide documentation I originally asked for and refused to fix the windshield. I had a terrible experience at Right Honda I never want to go back there!

  • Forgery and Refusal to Respond in Writing

    The dealership sold me a car they advertised as Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) but refused to provide the associated CPO warranty. When I raised this issue, they forged my signature after the fact (misspelling my name) on a document affirming that an inspection was completed and stating that I agreed they provided me things they did not. Within an hour of them forging my signature, I received an email claiming I was enrolled in Honda's CPO program. In the first couple of days following the purchase, I noticed several issues with the car that made me believe they either never completed an inspection or that the inspection was done poorly. I contacted Honda Corporate six days post-purchase to verify my warranty and they stated my car has no CPO warranty. Additionally, I discovered discrepancies in the loan process. My contract specifies a lender, yet when I contacted the lender six days later, they had no record of my application—despite the dealership promptly cashing my $10,000 down payment. The General Manager, Ryan, has ignored my requests for clarification in writing. He has repeatedly insisted I visit in person to discuss these issues instead of providing clear, documented responses. I have also made 5 written requests for copies of all signed documents, but both General Manager, Ryan, and Trevor, the finance manager we worked with, have ignored my requests. This review is being made via an emailed request from Right Honda for feedback on my experience.

  • Sales Without Haggling and/or Regret

    We reviewed the 2024-2025 Hondas several times when our car was in for routine maintenance as our lease expiration was coming up. The salesmen were excellent -- answering all our questions, demonstrating new features, comparing models, etc. without bugging us constantly to make a decision. When we were ready, our salesman and the GM provided a reasonable offer on a model that met our needs without constant haggling back and forth. We walked out with a new model for our 3 year lease.

  • Dont buy a car from here

    Dont bother making any sort of significant drive to this dealership if you ever have questions or need anything from them after buying your car you will get 0 help unless you go in person. My husband’s car was totaled in February and we need additional documentation for our gap insurance claim, except no one but sales answers the phone. The sales person will then transfer you to finance voice mailbox or throw your message in the trash. I have tried to get our documents sent multiple times over the phone this week. So now im going to have to drive 45 minutes on my day off to this dealership to get 3 documents that will take 10 minutes to collect from the finance team. UPDATE 5/19 We went in to get the documents last week, and finance gave us the incorrect documents for our gap claim, this delay is causing us hundreds a month having to make payments on our totaled car. We emailed the manager and the person we spoke to from finance and its been 5 days with no response. Incredibly disappointed we returned here for our replacement car.

  • Honda loyalty that cost me $400 for nothing

    I recently attempted to purchase a vehicle from Right Honda. I worked with Salesman Dino Ingrassia, who was apparently supported by both the Finance Manager and the Director of Sales. From the start they were made aware of my unique credit situation, my available cash downpayment, and understood my downpayment would consist of my fully paid 2018 Honda trade in. As this would have been my third Honda, I was initially excited based on the communications given to me by Mr. Ingrassia. However, after confirming "0 out of pocket should be absolutely no problem", and with $15,500 already being established for my trade, I was told that I would then need to come up with $3960 out of pocket in addition to proceed. This was of course after I had spent $400 out of pocket on legal fees to procure a letter they required which would allow me to finance the vehicle while in the last month of a bankruptcy repayment contract. I felt this experience needed to be shared with potential buyers. Perhaps Scottsdale residents with perfect credit are treated differently, perhaps it's just those of us who are rebuilding our lives who might experience these issues. You may want to reconsider whether you want to purchase your vehicle at Right Honda.
    • ****Review posted on multiple platforms**** Jennifer, you were wanting to purchase a new $50,000 Type-R with your "unique credit situation". We did our best to get it financed for you. Financing anything with this "unique credit situation" REQUIRES a letter from a lawyer in order for a lender to even consider approval. We accomplished the monumental task of obtaining an approval for someone with your financial background. A condition of the approval required some additional financial participation from you, but these additional funds were unavailable. Unfortunate for both parties, we were not able to complete the sale. The dealership also incurred costs (manpower, time, relationships, expertise, and credit resources), working on your approval, these costs far exceed $400. We can call it even....   • Expect Some Problems

    I had a mixed experience with this dealership. They initially offered me a great deal for my trade-in and the new vehicle I purchased from them wasn't too bad either. Kyle, my salesperson, was really great and continued to provide good service even after the sale. However, I encountered some problems when they forgot to send my pay off to the bank for eight days. As a result, my bank account went into a negative balance when the payment day arrived, causing inconvenience. I had been assured that this wouldn't happen, as there were still 13 days before the loan payment was due. To make matters worse, I was charged an additional interest by the bank on top of the 10-day pay-off amount that I had given to the dealership. When I raised this issue with Kyle, that they owe me $70, he completely ignored me and failed to respond for several days. It's disappointing that they turned out to be a typical dealership with false promises and underwhelming service. I would advise others to be cautious and consider online dealerships that offer better transparency and superior customer service.

  • Rip off/Bad service

    Was told that their desert protection package include clear bra that protected the front end of the vehicle. After I drove it home, they only installed 1/4 of the hood and a small 6 inches of the side fender, not the bumper. I called to inquire about it and they said that the clear bra does not include the bumper. Also during finance, I saw a $250 fee that tried to sneak in and if I didn't catch that, I would have been even more screwed. Luckily I caught it and the finance guy removed it. Had I known that the desert protection package did not include the clear bra on the front end, I would have not even purchased the vehicle. Funny thing is also after all that I called and spoke with 3 different sales people and they all said that the desert protection package included clear bra on the front bumper. They totally ripped me off and no one even bothered tried to apologize or make it right by any means.

Our dealership did not rip you off and all the figures were reviewed with you.     Overall my wife and we’re very satisfied with our sales person, Julio Barcelo. Zak in the finance department did a great job explaining all of the option packages available to us. Julio also did a great job helping us set up all the systems in the vehicle when we took delivery. He did a very good job answering all our questions. I was not happy with the extra dealer fee for “Low Inventory”. I felt it was excessive and it takes advantage of the buyer needing a new vehicle.
