Thanks Darlene for your helpfulness and patience as my wife test drove several used cars at your dealership over 6-7 weeks. My wife drove off lot yesterday in a 2013 Mazda3 I Touring sedan. Everyone was very helpful. Jerry & Carol V

Let's keep it simple here. Great service from sales to service. No BS!! No tactics! No holding your keys!! Make your offer, drive your new car home! These people work with you! I've purchase 5 Mazda's from Cardinale Way and the courtesy and respect they afford to me is exactly WHY I've purchased 5 Mazda's in 4 yrs - two for me, two for my wife, one for my daughter! Just bought a 2015 Reflex Blue Mazda6!! Man!!! Gorgeous car!! You guys at Cardinale - Love you guys!! Donnie, Jim W, Nick in Service - it's because of you guys I keep coming back!
  • DON'T BUY CARDINALE MAZDA (At Superstition Springs)

They will bend you over and shamelessly rip you off once you sign on the dotted line! I bought a new car here and was promised that I would get a full tank of gas and the optional accessories that I ordered in two days. Neither of these things happened. When I returned for the accessories, I was given "stock" (aka pulled off of other cars) parts and only part of what I had ordered. The roof rack came with no documentation as to warranty or how to assemble/disassemble it. The other accessory was still not available and I was told I would have to return later to pick it up. When I picked it up, it wasn't what I had ordered and paid for. The salespeople here will not return your calls (and then will lie and claim they called you back, they just don't remember when). AVOID DEE like the plague!!! He is dishonest and will ignore you once he has made a sale. BUYER BEWARE!
  • I got a car, and a messed up bank account to haunt me

Sorry there is no #@*$ NO for would you recomend this dealer. Don't get me wrong Donny has been good. I told them if you want me to buy this car them you need to hold my Down payment check till I get paid. Well the next day the check cashed. This over drafted my account, locking my bank accounts. Greg was getting mad at me because I wanted them to fix this like now. Finnaly after leaving work to go down there and make a big deal they acted like they would take care of this. Of coarse I got Overdraft fees and my checking account has negative marks now. Greg says its the bank that should fix that. Well they were the ones that messed it up to beging with. I have been down there 5 times now to get my money. Every time it seems nobody can find it. It has been three weeks now and it's not even about the money but the principle that I have wasted so much time trying to stay on top of them about this. On more than one account they were going to bring me check to my work. Never happened. They have told me a few times to drive over after work and nothing. Wouldn't be as bad but one of the office staff told me this happened to some one else the same day. This is your fault Mazda take care of it. And not 3 weeks later. They offered me a free oil change finnaly. But from how this place has impressed upon me and the reviews I have read that might be a really bad idea too. I shouldn't be the one running around fixing what it 100% their fault. I wish I could just Void this entire deal and get my old vehicle back.
    • It's been a month now and I just found out that they messed up my trade in as well. I just received a call saying I still have a balance on my old car to pay on. How much worse of a job can you guys do?. Not to mention my car is missing an important part that attaches to the underside of the hood that they didn't tell me about. now I have to go spend more money to special order this part so my car doesn't overheat in the summer.

  • Give ammo to negative stereotyping

Everyone knows car dealers are [violative content deleted], right? Not me, I've been fortunate enough to have had great experiences buying new cars. I do my homework, I get prices up front, and I always get a fair and honest deal. That is until I went to CardinaleWay Mazda. We spent the better part of an early Friday afternoon with the salesperson, Dena, and her Sales Manager, Thomas. He quoted us a very good price on a white '08 CX-9, that he "had no emotional attachment to" because it was last year's model. After reviewing some other cars, I called Dena three days later about the '08 CX-9. It was, of course, still available, and remained at the great price we were originally quoted. When I went back that night to fill out the paperwork--and waited for over an hour--I was told that I was confused and was then quoted a price nearly 3K higher; effectively the same price as a new '09. Turns out the General Manager didn't agree with Thomas' original price and decided to play hard ball. Instead of playing the game, I expressed my frustration and walked away. I won't do business with them after this. They're not an honest dealership.
  • After reaching agreement, sales mgr later refused to honor agreement

    3.2 out of 5 starsby char08 on 09/15/2008

After negotiating for several hours with Thomas Michael the sales manager, an agreement was reached, and four of us shook hands on the deal. It was quite late and Thomas stated that everyone was gone and they would have our paperwork ready for us first thing in the morning. When we arrived there was no paperwork ready and Thomas stated that we needed another $900 to close the deal. Told him we did not have $900 and that was not part of our agreement. He then tried to add in extra costs to the figures to get his $900. When I caught him doing that he attempted to get us to buy a different car. Asked him to honor the deal as agreed and he refused. Asked to speak to his boss, and he said no one was there, I would have to call monday. As we were leaving the dealership, low and behold, his boss followed us out the door (I believe his name was David Thompson). Said he would look at the situation and call us back. When he called he said they just could not honor the deal, they would be losing too much money. Called the General Manager, Phil Kerr who said he would investigate. When he called back I got the same response and alot of misinformation that he had gotten from his sales manager. He also refused to honor the deal. And of course accused me of being difficult to work with even though I remained calm throughout this whole unpleasant episode. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, and if you do work with them make sure you get everything written in blood, notarized, and photocopied!!!! Also check your contract for hidden fees and costs.

I had bought a car from this dealership. I had unfortunately had it totaled. I have recently moved away from the area. It has been 2 month's and I still cannot get anyone to fax me over stuff so I can settle my gap coverage claim. The finance manager has been non-responsive. I talk to a person in the back office that is suppose to handle all that stuff and she sounded put out by me asking for copies of the stuff to help settle my claim. I am in the customer service industry (san diego's #1 Ford dealership.. I would drop anything to help out a customer. Needless to say I would never do business with this company again. It's to bad. Because I liked my car. I hope that they get there stuff together. And if I was a Owner I would closely look at my staff and drop the hammer on some of them.Sincerly the Hammer(closer of a dealership in San Diego)
  • Good Experience!!

O.K. full disclosure - I had originally written a review here where I slammed these guys really hard because the manager on duty did not honor a price I was quoted over the phone by another manager. Bad communication within the dealership and I came home pissed off and wrote a scathing review of these guys here That said, I went to the dealership again and did succeed in getting the car I wanted for the price I wanted. I will add that the customer service I got was great, the follow-up from their customer service folks was great (I've never had a dealer call me before to ask if I was happy with my purchase), and the free car washes and oil changes for life are a nice perk. That said, I'll offer a few general car buying tips that apply to anybody buying a car from any dealer: 1) don't buy your car the same day you test drive, if you want the car do your homework and get some quotes from area dealers (several is a good bet) 2) make sure you do your homework on dealer fees such as documentation and also on dealer adds 3) make sure the "desk" has approved your offer before you set foot in the dealership I'll summarize by saying that again, I was really mad when I wrote the first review as I had another deal fall through when I was in their showroom being told they couldn't meet my price - but they did make things right and sold me my new Mazda at a great price. I will write a service evaluation when I get the car to their garage. PS FWIW I will be giving them excellent marks on their CSI survey when the time comes.

I actually had the opportunity to work for Cardinale Way Mazda for a few short weeks. I have been in the car business for over 20 years. I can honestly say they are the most unorganized dealership I have worked for. Most of their employees are not happy to come to work and have a negative attitude. I can also say that I had the opportunity to hear about what I have to say is by far the largest profit on one car that in my 20 years experience have ever seen or heard of. They had a mother and son come in to buy a car. They both ended up buying vehicles. The son bought a new RX-8 that was a demo with 5k miles on it. After all was said and done the dealership had made $26k in profit. That is almost equal to the msrp on the vehicle. They then sold the mother a Mazda3 which is approx. a $16k msrp. They profited another $14k on that car. Some will say let the buyer beware. I think at some point too much is TOO MUCH! In our sales meetings the management really pushed the sales force to get referrals and repeat business. I have always been fortunate in getting both. I have done this by being straight forward and fair. I could not do that at Cardinale Way. If you are wondering why I am writing this it is two fold. They were as unfair to me as they are to their customers. Upon leaving I was owed a little over $3000 for 3 weeks of work. They gave me a check for less than $200 and said too bad!

We have purchased 6 vehicles from Cardinale Way Mazda-If this is how they treat a repeat customer I would be concerned if I were purchasing my first vehicle. I purchased new Mazda CX9 8-31 -2012 -2 weeks later I was told I had to come back to re-sign the paperwork I told them I wanted my trade in back and I was told it was gone and she did not know where it was. I had to come back in 9-25 for more paper work and was told again that my trade in was gone.During this time I kept getting calls from my lender on the trade in because I was going to have a late payment on a car that was as I was told is GONE.During this time with phone calls to the dealership I was told by the finance manager "whats one late payment ".On 10-3-2012 I called the dealership and was told by the finance manager that everything was good they paid off the trade in and don't worry about it Wells Fargo loves us .I called Wells Fargo and was told that they had not received the tracking info for the pay off on my trade in and that I had to make a payment so that I would not have a late payment on my credit. This whole experience put such a sour taste in my mouth. How can a car dealer not have my trade in that I still owned and insured. The buyer should not have to keep calling the lenders to make sure the finance dept is doing their job. I have much more to say in regards to this transaction-I cancelled the gap and extended warranty and guess what they took over $2600 dollars from me claiming that I owed it to them on a contract that was torn up dated 8-31-2012 and rewritten by them on 9-25-2012 without the IOU form signed by me .It is amazing how they can manipulate the numbers to their advantage and flat out lie to the customer .this is just part of my experience. This all started 8-31-2012 and today is 11-18-2012 . Wells Fargo-TD finance and Mazda USA -Rip Off Report.com -Mazda Noth American Operations-DealerRater-Chanell12 news have all been contacted and most have either filed complaints or have noted in their files this ongoing

I've purchased 2 cars from Brian M and my grandfather has also purchased 2 cars from him. He's always been very friendly and does what he can to help us get the best deals. Every time we come here we're always greeted and recognized by the staff. Would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone.

Used the Edmunds online contact of 4 Mazda dealerships. All 4 contacted us very quickly. Only 1, Avondale would send a written Out The Door bid. Berge after a lot of haggling finally agreed to send an OTD bid. After these two sent their bids recvd one from Cardinale. Camelback stated they would not send an OTD bid but would beat anyone else's bid. Finally was able to get in a bidding war for our business with Berge and Cardinale. Avondale was just too far from out home. Advised Berge what Cardinale had offered and they got upset that they were being used to go back and forth for the best deal for us. When it was all done we went with Cardinale. I know I received a great deal and finally after years of buying cars feel I got a great deal rather than the car dealership. In the future if a dealership will not give me OTD bid they are hiding the true numbers and I will not deal with them.

I had a great experience with my New Mazda purchase on 2/25/13. From the time we walked onto the lot till the time we left with my New car! No pressure to buy, up front and honest with the products available. Dan made sure I got exactly what I was looking for, he was informative and answered all my questions. I felt that all the employees cared not just for another car sale but for their business in general. Thank you.

I have purchased two new vehicles from Cardinale Way. No issues with either purchase. I did most of my work over the internet so the deal was basically done before I even walked in the door. I was treated well and with respect so no complaints. The only issue that I caution on is their offering of an extended warranty. Cardinale does not sell a Mazda warranty. They will claim its "underwritten" by Mazda but be aware its not a Mazda written warranty on Mazda paper.

The purchase of my new CX5 was very uneventful. The information we received from the sales personnel regarding the CX5 was very helpful in making the decision to purchase the vehicle. Once the decision was made the rest of the process went very smoothly. It took no time at all from "Yes" to off the lot.

I had a great experience at the CardinaleWay dealership. Matt S and Thomas M were very friendly and helpful and were able to find me the car I wanted and give me a great deal on it. I wanted a car that wasn't on any dealership lots yet, but Matt and Thomas went the extra mile to find me the car with my specifications and while I am waiting for it to arrive at the dealership, they gave me a loaner car to drive in the meantime. They truly care more about meeting the customer's wants and needs rather then trying to "sell" people and make a profit. I highly recommend this dealership- specifically Matt S and Thomas M.
