  • Well organized system for service appointments

    I took my 1998 Honda CRV for inspection for two recall items. Happily both items passed the tests, so no work was necessary. Initially, I waited for the shuttle they offer, not knowing how long the inspection and any repair would take; Ashton was the tech and was very professional and considerate, and he made a point to alert me in the waiting room about 5 minutes before shuttle was to leave and let me know my car was ready. He is an excellent representative for this company.

    I bought a new car from Autonation and they were very fair dealing with me. I got exactly what I wanted at the price they quoted me over email. There was no haggling or switch and bait. I am pleased with my purchase and my buying experience.

  • Poor customer service for oil change appointment

    Most disappointed visit with this dealer. Sale advisor was being rude because he was not able to make other services sale. Knowing customer having very young children waiting on the curb side, instead of the advisor walk to the customer to sign on his I-Pad, he intentionally asked us to walk up to him on the other side with all the moving cars. The cost of an oil change was double or triple of what I can get from other place, would at least have a minor car wash but that was not this case. Would any customer willing to come back to this dealership for any services with this type of experiences.

  • Better Communication & Team Collaboration Needed

    Our car has been coming to Honda Chandler for the last 18 months or so and we normally have a pleasant experience every time. Our last service experience fell short though. I understand days get busy however here are some examples of having better communication and customer service. 1. Please do not take your anger out on your customers. When I arrived for my Service Appointment, my Service Advisor, Shannon, gave off the impression that she was annoyed because I initially had an appointment with a Staff member that no longer works there and the comment of "I guess this means I have to take you" was made with annoyance in her voice. I hope your Service Advisors know that when going online to schedule service, at least in my experience I do not select the representative that works with me. Often times I get a confirmation email that assigns me to a service representative. I know first hand what it feels like to take on additional work because a colleague quits, gets terminated, or calls in sick but please don't take your frustration out on me. 2. It was very difficult to get communication from my service representative. I do think this isn't her fault as I saw her most of the time outside doing customer intakes and getting other appointments checked in. The problem is if I am looking for an update it makes it hard to receive that update if I can't communicate with my assigned service advisor. Even setting some expectations and timelines from the beginning would help. For example, "Today is a busier than normal day, your service may take 2-3 hours etc.". All I got was - "we will get you out of here as soon as we can". 3. At the 1.5 hour mark I admit, I was getting impatient. I only came in for an oil change and have never experience a wait time this long. Had the expectation been set at the beginning that right now oil changes are taking X amount of time I could of been prepared for that. As I went looking for Shannon to gain an update she was outside assisting other customers. I could see my keys and work order visibly on her table. I went and asked for help with 2 other service advisors who both declined to help me citing, "Your assigned service advisor needs to check you out - she should only be a minute". I don't feel like this is an acceptable response however that is my opinion. I feel like the better way to serve your customer would be to walk out to Shannon, perhaps relieve her of her duties for a moment. Or if you require each service advisor to check out their own appointments, maybe you need to re-look at that policy. I feel the better customer service experience is to get your customers out the door as soon as possible. It took me 30 minutes to be able to get ahold of Shannon and get checked out. That isn't a great experience in my opinion and I could of been out much quicker had an employee that I tried to ask for help with tried to go the extra mile to assist and not just tell me "it will be a moment". If you need these employees names, they are Thomas Hathaway, and then an employee that was in desk 10 (not sure if it was Jim Doan or Brian Pocius). I don't believe 1 bad experience will prevent me from returning. Everyone has off days. I experience that in my own work life but these are just examples and maybe some suggestions to make your service department a little better.

    Finding a vehicle was easy and Mike, the salesman was helpful through-out the entire process. We liked that he did not pressure us and once we decided on a car, he kept us informed of the build dates and then the shipping dates. Closing was okay, the only dislike was the presentation, and it felt like some pressure, to buy extended warranties / coverages.

    Kyle Milnes was my service advisor and I highly recommend him. He goes over everything thoroughly and helps get you all applicable discounts. The dealership is nice place to stay while your car gets serviced. Always provides free water and WiFi.

  • Service -Oil Change

    Had a 10:40 appointment for an oil change and alignment check. I was told it would take 2 hours. I said I would wait for it and not go home. After over two hours I had to look for my service advisor to see if my vehicle was done. I was told they were way behind and hadn’t gotten to my car much less the alignment. Long story short after three hours my oil change was completed and I had to make a new appointment for the alignment check, for the following week. Good thing is if it does need an alignment they will pay for it. Not sure what the point of an appointment is anymore at dealerships.

    2018 Accord EX-L 2.0T serviced. Scheduling is simple, staff is great especially Service Rep David, all service was completed and our car was kept clean. We've brought our Accord to AutoNation since we bought it. Always an excellent experience.

  • Not happy

    No issues with sales but service is another story. Brought a car in on a Thursday for service. By Friday afternoon, still no update and the real issue was when we called we couldn’t get a hold of service advisor or service. Friday afternoon the vehicle still wasn’t even looked at. We had to call sales and demand for them to get someone at service. We went and got the car after it being there for a day and a half and took it to a local service shop. Never again. They just have too many vehicles to be effective.

    Service Writer David Nagel was very professional and knowledgeable and explained everything to our satisfaction. Service took 4 hrs, we had expected 3 to 3 and a half. Cost of 30 k service was $822, with Veterans discount. That seems pricy considering our local garage quoted us $350. Car was nicely cleaned.

  • Fabulous Customer Service

    Mike Culbertson showed me what incredible customer service looks like. We had a molding on the bottom of the car door which had partially popped off. I came to Honda Nation just to see if they could fix it or if I needed to go to a body shop. Mind you, I had no appointment. Mike looked at it and said he thought they could fix it. Mike took the car to the body shop area and it was fixed within 30 minutes. He even got my phone out of the car when I realized I had left it in the car once I got to the customer service waiting area. Within 30 minutes the car was fixed and back to me. I was extremely impressed with how Mike handled the situation and demonstrated what quality customer service is all about. I have his card and I will ask for him next time because he truly does exceptional work for AutoNation. I also want to thank your body shop area for being able to take care of this so quickly. That too was an impressive demonstration of true customer service. These employees showed me Honda Nation really cares about their customers!!
