Best Advistor and Service for Years!
by E R Woods on 01/27/2020Honda of Chantilly is the only place I'll take my cars. They have been providing great and trustworthy service for both my Pilot and Accord since opening up many years ago. Katie Hensley is the best advisor that I have seen. I wait for her… to be on duty before bringing any of my cars in for service. Her trustworthy experience and ability to properly advise me of current and future repairs is the main reason I continue to use them, as well as their mechanic's continued know-how and ability to fix my cars. Honda of Chantilly Flooded My Car and Covered it Up...or Did They?
by MPK on 12/17/2018In May 2018, I left my 2014 Honda Odyssey with Pohanka's Honda of Chantilly (where I purchased and had only serviced it) for a major engine repair. Five days later I picked it up and drove it home not knowing that my windows and sunroof… had been left open in a massive, torrential downpour. It wasn't until several days later that I discovered a lot of water running down the windshield, inside windows, and dashboard, wet carpet trapped beneath my protective mats, and standing water in an interior cup holder and my leather seats. I immediately returned to Honda of Chantilly to ask why they never notified me and why a dealership with all the necessary tools and resources to properly address its mistake right away would give me back a car they knew had water damage. The service manager said no one knew and it must have been one person’s cover-up because this is definitely not the way that his company does business. He said they would need to keep it for several days to remove all the water and check the electronics. During that time, I contacted several other local dealerships and car repair shops to learn what type of potential future damages could occur as a result of Honda of Chantilly’s mistake. They said it was very possible that electronics that came into contact with water were compromised and would start corroding in the future but there was no way to tell the extent of possible future damage – and that they could work for a while and then suddenly fail. Two days later, I spoke with Honda of Chantilly’s General Manager, and I repeatedly stated that I was concerned that the incident had been covered up and that other people's cars might have also had water damage but they weren’t aware of it. He said that was not the case – that it was only mine (the storm was the night of May 14, 2018). I also explained that I was worried about future electronic issues and concerned about safety issues. The General Manager told me that I could purchase an extended 4-year, 48,000 mile warranty which would protect against any issues that may come up in that period. I asked that he cover the extended warranty and he finally agreed to cover $750 of the $1500 extended warranty, which he said was "extremely generous" on his part. I argued that for a company whose owner asserts that it does service better than any company in the world, I would expect that he would hold his service department to the highest standard. He finally told me that Honda of Chantilly initially did the same that any other dealership would do by wiping my car down, putting it under a heater, and giving it back to me. He went on to insist that there was no cover-up because the incident was noted on my original service report. I asked if he was referring to a line that said "Performed Interior Detail" (at no charge) and he said yes – because why else would I think I would have gotten an interior detail for free? I repeatedly told him that I was not satisfied with his offer to pay half of the warranty and thought that at the very minimum he should at least cover the $1500 cost. He refused. I then asked to further elevate my concerns to the Owner and the General Manger said no - that the Owner had given him the authority to act on his behalf, he would make the same decision he had, and his decision was FINAL. The General Manager again told me that he had already “gone above and beyond” by removing the water and drying my car and I was not going to get a warranty for “free.” At the end of our conversation, the General Manager said that my options were to do nothing, purchase the extended warranty, or trade in my car and pay about $15,000 for a new one. Ultimately, the General Manager did provide me with one name and number – their lawyer – and told me to do what I felt I needed to do. As such, I spent several months documenting this experience in a video and posted it on YouTube (it’s the first video that comes up in a Google search of “Honda of Chantilly Review”). In the end, I paid $795 ($750+tax) for the extended warranty and have since then learned from Honda Corporate that any repairs that are found to be linked to the water damage are not covered by the extended warranty…so there’s that.Great experience!!!
by RahZik1 on 04/09/2018Tuesday evening after a long, exhausting workday - the last thing I wanted to do is show up at Honda of Chantilly to get an oil change and a state inspection (of course just a day left in the month before the state inspection expires) From… the moment I stepped foot into the service center and back to my car after the services were completed, I couldn't have received better customer service from the service consultant Mr. Edwin Fuentes. Just wow! When I showed up at 840pm, I was greeted so openly that I had to check the time on my phone just to mentally clarify how well appreciated I was that late in the evening. Dispute the lengthy time I was given for the services, Mr. Fuentes explained thoroughly why the wait, when it'll be completed, how I can spend my time wisely (and oh so comfortably in the quiet room.) I couldn't have been more psyched about mere oil change. And to top it off, the cleanliness and professionalism of the service center just felt great. I can not wait to revisit this location for future services and refer ALL my Honda owner acquaintances! Keep it up man!Customer Service A+++, Thank you Edwin F. :-)

I came in because I was hearing a noise under my car while driving today. I had the pleasure of being connected… with Edwin at the service desk. He came out, took a look at my car, assessed the situation and put my concerns at ease. I appreciated him taking the time to review everything with me and answered all of my questions. Even though I did not buy my car from this particular location, I always bring my car here when I have an issue. I am always confident that Honda of Chantilly will hold me down and today was no exception. Thank you Edwin for going the extra mile, you remind me why I drive out of my way to bring my car here (and I live in MD)!Great Service Experience! Ask for Katie!

I believe their prices are very competitive and the service is first class. Katie Hensley was my… service advisor today and was polite, friendly, helpful and, most important to me, honest. Katie informed me of problems arising with my car that was in for service, and I was presented with options to resolve them. I valued her knowledge, opinion and was confident that I was not being hustled to carry out any unnecessary repairs. I will continue to bring all my cars here and request Katie as my service advisor when possible. Thank you, Katie!Service

by mov3son on 07/01/2015I purchased a 2015 Honda Pilot and I had to bring it to Service. They had to repair the license plate Screwholder. They asked if I wanted a car wash and I thought About it and why oh why did I say yes? This was on the 1st of April ..... 10… Mins later they tell me they drove my pilot into the wall getting it out of the wash rack. I thought my Salesman was playing a evil April fools joke but it was April and I was a fool for trusting Service. My bran new 1 month old truck was damaged already. First I was Offered a new truck then the manager said hell no and offered to fiX it. They had my truck for about 5 days and it looks fixed until you See it from a 45 degree angle and you Can see that something happened to the truck plus the side molding keeps Coming free. Now back to the license plate screwholder I had to wait for that and when it Came back they a a Inch and a half hole in MY Inside trunk vinyl. Again I had to go back and instead of replacing it with a new one I have a old one from a 2013 pilot with Scratches, dings, and marks all over it. Oh plus this little panel that has the Straq for the handle so you can pull the trunk down was broke.So I had to go to the Store and get glue to glue it So it wont fall off. You know what I dont even Want the damn truck anymore. I feel like I am driving a Used vehicle. I feel like I been had and a Sucker for wasting my hard earned Cash. well guess who cant resale his truck or trade it in for a good price anymore ... This GUY!!! thank you for making my Car buying experience a nightmare . There Is some good out Of this for the dealership."... they sold a truck and got my money, that is all that matters to them. by hubcaps on 03/03/2015We did not have service issues per se. We had more questions about our new 2015 CRV Honda Touring AWD and wanted to show Chris some items on the car. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. He said to email him anytime if we… had anymore questions. Chris was knowledgeable, honest, and focused on our concerns. We came all the way from Alexandria, VA during the week and did not want to deal with anyone else. We paid a lot of $$$ for our new car and we want to make sure we understand how the car works. We have not bought a new car since 2006 and now it is like driving a computer. We hope when we have actual service done we will still have a 5x feeling!Chris Durbin provides excellent customer service!

I have been back several times to ask more questions, discuss repair options, etc. and he has been there for me… every step of the way. I could not have had a better experience anywhere! It is so refreshing to find someone who is knowledgeable in their job, and gets answers for you. (Even though the answers might not be great! My car is a junker!) I highly recommend going in to Honda of Chantilly. When you go in, ask for Chris Durbin. He will be able to take care of you and your car!Great Service Department!

The prices were exceptionally fair and I was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face, as Jason M, the former Service Manager of Pohanka Acura, is now the Service… Manager of Pohanka Honda of Chantilly. He did a fine job ensuring the service staff took care of my vehicle and gave the same wonderful service that he did before. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle in to Pohanka Honda of Chantilly, as Jason will ensure his great service staff will give you a fair price and will do an outstanding job!Good
