Do not purchase from this dealership
by EODblaster51 on 04/30/2024I will not purchase from this dealer again. To begin with, it took over a week and a half for the salesman to get me a copy of my certified pre-owned paperwork. This was important because I drove the truck less than a week before it went… into the shop for repairs. It blew injector number five within four days of my purchase. For some background, I bought a ZR2 with only 7,800 miles. I understand that failures happen, but I don’t know how it could pass their 172-point inspection with “rodent damage.” Yes, the injector went out due to wires being chewed on by a rodent. This was missed by the dealership, and even better, rodent damage is not covered by warranty! Then, two weeks later, it lost injector number seven also. The truck went in for repairs twice in the first month. Then, to add insult to injury, I got a call one month after purchasing the truck to inform me that the dealership failed to do the Texas State Inspection and, therefore, could not get the plates. I was asked to take time out of my day to go and get it inspected and then mail a copy of the inspection back to the dealership. Given that I only have three weeks left on the temporary tags, I have to assume that my permanent plates will more than likely be late getting to me. I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this has been multiple issues and, in my opinion, shows poor operating culture at this dealership.

BUYER BEWARE!!
by Ben on 09/29/2022Already having significant electronic issues ( sliding door, dashboard) with the vehicle I purchased <60 days ago; repairs have already cost over $1000. Two different mechanics told us that multiple issues should have been reported to us by… the dealership but were not. Dealership told us its our problem for buying a crap car. Highly recommend shopping elsewhere.Classic [non-permissible content removed] Chevrolet of Grapevine
by mrydrumg on 12/27/2021On 9/18/2021, I went to Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas to meet with the sales associate Kevin Gooding. I told him my husband was interested in the Blazer, Mr. Gooding told me there was a chip problem and it would take a while before… the car would come in. But I could put $500.00 down to hold the Blazer when it came in. So I agreed. We talked about the incentives and because the Blazer is not in stock right now, would I still get the September incentives, and he told me that I would. So I paid the $500.00, and waited for the car to come in. Mr. Gooding emailed me on 11/112021, to tell me that the Blazer we were waiting for had arrived. On Thursday 11/18/2021, Mr Gooding sent me a text, stating that after my deposit the Blazer will cost me $37,683 plus tax and title (ttl). I then asked him how much the tax and title would cost. Mr. Gooding he then wrote that it would be 6.25%, plus another $350 - $400. Everything seemed fine, so my husband and I decide to go the next day to purchase the Blazer. On 11/19/2021, my husband and I purchased a 2021 Blazer from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas. I was not happy with the termed that was presented to me by finance. The payments would be $579.89, for 84 months. I asked about the incentives that was offered to be in September, and I was told I could not get those incentives. I asked if there was any incentives the next day saw on the Chevy website that there is a $500.00 Cyber incentive until 11/20/2021, but it was not offered to me. We did talk about getting 6 years or 60,000 miles, but it was not in my paperwork. I tried to get finance to lower the price because I felt the monthly payment of $569.89 was too high, but he wouldn’t budge. Basically I was told to take the deal or look for another vehicle. I had already waited so long to get the vehicle, and although he gave us a few minutes to think about it. My husband and I signed the paperwork. I didn’t realize until the next day that I went from having at great deal at $37,863 to paying $43,959.99, I felt the dealership had taken advantage of me. And the money I thought I was paying for my Gap insurance, was used as a down payment for the Blazer. When I stated that I would have to refinance, the finance guy who I don’t remember his name, told me no one could beat GM’s deal and he knew all the credit unions and none of them would give me a better deal. I am so sorry I did business with Classic Chevrolet of Grapevine.Amazing Sales Experience
by Xavier on 08/29/2019updated 09/09/2019Great people, great product, and great honesty. Transparent all the way through and none of the typical BS games of other dealers.BUYER BEWARE!!!
by Vince on 08/05/2019BUYER BEWARE!! Deal cautiously with the Internet Sales Department and with Internet Sales Director Eric Hall. After confronting Eric Hall with several documented lies made by his staff during the negotiation of a sale, Eric Hall took no… interest or action to correct. The customer service and treatment by this team before and after their dishonesty was exposed caused me to terminate negotiations and purchase my vehicle elsewhere. Based on this experience, I acquired a complete lack of trust in this dealership and in the Chevrolet name. Three years ago, I purchased a new vehicle from this dealership and the experience was good. However, over the past year, as I have inquired about trading into a new vehicle, I have sensed an obvious change in customer treatment and a lowering of ethical standards. This was confirmed when I recently engaged in serious negotiations for the purchase of a new vehicle. I was absolutely amazed at the lack of integrity on the part of the Internet Sales staff and Director Eric Hall. I ultimately purchased a BMW from Autobahn in Fort Worth. The professionalism and quality of service that I received from Autobahn BMW was night and day in comparison to Classic Chevrolet’s Internet Sales Department. PLEASE before you purchase a vehicle from this dealership, especially the Internet Sales Department, make certain that you are not being lied to by Eric Hall and his team. If at all possible, visit another dealership (or maker) and compare the treatment. I assure you, if you take the time to do this, you will see that there claim of being the “best dealership in Texas” is just another swindle.Great Service and Fast!
by Cecil1955 on 09/09/2017We visited several dealerships in our journey to buy a new car. We liked different aspects of each dealership, but my dad and I found that Classic Chevrolet had the whole package. I especially enjoyed the relationship and helpfulness of our… salesman William Barcenas. He did an excellent job in answering our questions and being a trustworthy friend in the process. He should be commended for his helpfulness and the effort he put into winning our trust. I would definitely recommend Classic Chevrolet and William if anyone asks about buying a Chevrolet. I am super excited to be driving a new 2017 Black Hybrid Chevy Malibu!Best car buying experience ever!!
by LChampion on 07/14/2017Marshal Foote, my sales person, was/ is WONDERFUL!! I enjoyed my entire car buying experience!! I drove an hour to buy at Classic Chevrolet because of their reputation, honesty and best vehicle selection in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. I… have recommended my niece and her husband to Classic and they each purchased new vehicles. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car.Great car buying experience
by GrandsportSM on 03/02/2017The internet sales department is great! It was great buying a car from Kevin Gooding. He videoed the car and emailed it us before we drove up from Houston. We knew that was the car for us! Kevin had the Corvette Grand Sport detailed and… ready for us when we drove up from the Houston area! Thanks, Classic Chevrolet you guys raise the bar for customer service. The Best of the Best
by MrStickrack on 11/30/2016After having purchased approximately a dozen new vehicles and having owned about 6 or 7 Chevrolet trucks in my life, I would say that without a doubt this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Your outstanding salesman, TOUFIK… was very professional, courteous and went above and beyond to show me exactly what I was looking for. He went to additional lengths to prepare the truck with the additional options that I requested and I was very impressed every step of the way. I have already recommended TOUFIK to my friends and I look forward to doing business with him and Classic Chevrolet for many more years. Signed...one very satisfied customer!Awesome Experience
by dedoughty on 11/19/2016You were able to get the car of my dreams quicker than I ever thought possible. My salesperson Myron Marcyniak kept me updated every step of the way. From when GM accepted my order, to the proposed production date, when assembly was… completed, all the way to delivery to your dealership. I couldn't have asked for anything more from Myron, he was incredible. Thank you, you have a customer for life.Terrible experience - POTENTIAL BUYER BEWARE
by camarobuyer1 on 04/28/2016Finance guy, Dallas I believe was his name, was the absolute worst finance individual we have ever attempted to work with. His hard push sale of dealership financing as opposed to our bank was an awful tactic and ended up making us walk… out on the deal and drive to Huffines to purchase the same black Camaro convertible. We have purchased all our personal and business auto's/trucks from Jerry's here in Weatherford an unfortunately they didn't have what we were looking for this time. We thought Classic would be a great choice since it was the Durant family after all. Terrible decision on our part. The Salesman was great. Dallas, the awful finance person, and believe his name was Brent (the cocky assistant manager since the big manager was out) were absolutely terrible. Can see why a younger individual might be scared into dealership financing through their tactics, but those two gentlemen were the absolute worst individuals we have ever dealt with. Those two alone will keep us from ever coming back to Classic Chevrolet.Sales
by lewberger on 03/31/2016All the cars I have bought from Classic over the years have been purchased through Steve Thomas. He has always been honest and upright and I would not consider purchasing from anyone else. Never any pressure, but always ready and willing to… provide me with the service everyone should expect from a dealership. This time I purchased a new 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. I don't like salesmen that are ready to pounce on you the minute you stop your car and Steve is not one of them. He is also ready to help after the sale in the event you have any problems. In addition when I return for service I always go to Casey Barnes who also provides me with excellent service. I'm sure there are other fine personnel, but I only deal with these two men because they have proven to me that excellent service still exists.Classic Chevrolet Grapevine, a Fine buying experience
by texinmi on 09/10/2010Thank You to Tom Ward for making this buying experience the best ever. He truly made me feel like the only person in the dealership and was very courteous and professional. There was no pressure and we agreed on terms and trade numbers up… front and the longest time was waiting to get into finance....it was a Saturday and they were doing great business there that day. Roger in Finance was also very courteous and efficient. He offered us a deal on the extended warranty from GMPP and we signed the papers and were out of there in no time. Wow, what a difference it makes, doing business in a place where the people make you feel comfortable and are willing to help you an any way they can. The BEST part of this was when I had a couple issues with the paint on my new Impala, Tom took my car to the body shop for me and arranged temporary transportation for me so I was in and out the day I dropped off my car in 5 minutes. I picked it up later and all I had to do was drop off the courtesy car and pick up my keys and off I went. Thank You Tom for your efforts, it really means a lot to me. The service is really the Best here. I will buy ALL my cars from here for the rest of my life.Great Buying experience
by ghuber on 05/26/2010No games, no pressure! They told us on their website about factory to dealer incentives and told us about other rebates available without being prompted. They had the price listed at UNDER the MSRP! No dealer stickers, no surprise add… ons at any point. Doug Swinney is a wonderful salesperson to deal with. Made it easy, got all our rebates approved. 3 rebates! This was the best, easiest car Ive ever bought.OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE!
by mbledsoe on 09/03/2009When Classic Chevrolet say, "Relax and enjoy the difference" they mean it. I would like to share my experiences with the folks at Classic Chevrolet. My experiences at Classic started with a clear minded sales person, Brent Williams. From… Brent I had the pleasure of working with Roger Langley in their finance department. Although, I really did not think I would need to stumble upon the service department, I did due to a flat tire I had on my way to work earlier this month. I would like to take the time to share my exceptional experiences with Classic Chevrolet! As stated above, Brent Williams was phenomenal in his approach to helping me select my vehicle. He asked me several questions relating to my driving patterns and what I was looking for in a new vehicle. He asked me what options were of importance to me. Brent then went into his system and found me the right vehicle with the body style, color, and options that I wanted. It was as if I had ordered it from the mfg but without the wait time. From Brent I went into the Finance Office. In the Finance Office, I met Roger Langley. Roger's professional demeanor and knowledge was very comforting. His experience rendered a way to know what was best for me. As Roger and I visited about the financing options I had available he suggested an extended service contract. I felt it was in my best interest to go ahead and purchase the extended service contract. But when Roger suggested the Tire Protection Plan I was hesitant. However, after Roger explained to me the benefits of the plan, I said, "Sure." My experience with Brent and Roger was stellar. Now 8 months later, things are about to make me go WOW, this place IS different. I was on my way to work earlier this month and had a flat tire. The tire was ruined. So, I call Roger. Roger connects me to Tim Brogan, their Service Manager. I share with Tim my situation. Tim tells me to come up to the service department with a copy of the receipt for the tire I had to replace. So, I come up to the service department with the receipt. I speak with Lindsey their service cashier. She proceeds to tell me that Tim and the service staff were in a quick meeting. I did not have the time to wait. So, Lindsey seeing that I was in a hurry, said I will copy it and make sure Tim gets it. My thoughts were skeptical at first but she assured me it would be taken care of. So, I leave the copy of the receipt with Lindsey. I get a call from Tim later that day to let me know he is going to take care of it. Just over a week later I receive a check for the amount of the tire. WOW!! This is excellent communication at all levels of this dealership, from Brent to Roger; from Roger to Tim; from Lindsey to Tim; from Tim back to me... What a whole dealership experience! My excellent experience in communication and customer service is a testament of the management staff at Classic Chevrolet; you have taken the entire automotive experience to a new level. Thank you for making a difference. Sincerely, Mark B.Best Price and Highest Customer Service
by sr001 on 08/07/2009Wanted a Chevy Cobolt SS 4 door. They were one of the few dealers via internet I could locate in Dallas that had one. The internet price quoted me was competitive. I was allowed to take the car for a test drive, unaccompanied by the sale… staff. As a clunker trade, they made extra effort to insure I had the papers completed and correct to my trade would qualify. There were no dealer add-ons, no last minute price adjustments. The final price was as quoted me by Email over the internet. Bottom line: Price was excellent (brought me in) and so was the service (I bought the car). There's no other place to buy a Chevrolet
by jgf302 on 03/22/2008Since I move to Texas in 1993 I've bougth 5 cars from Classic Chevrolet. Each purchase experience has been great. They've always had a good selection of models to choose from. The sales staff has always been very helpful. However, I did… have one experience with a shady finance rep.The BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
by suz82 on 02/01/2008After visiting 5 different dealerships my last stop was Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, it was time to replace my Honda and decided to check the new Malibu, after seeing tons of advertising on that model. It was my best car buying… experience and unlike other places, I was able to look around for about 10 minutes without being pressured and this gentleman; (his name is Alex) listened to my needs and showed me things I didn't know about the new american made cars. To make a long story short, I ended buying the Malibu from him mainly for the service but also for the value price/features and things like OnStar and better warranty than other brands. I liked the fact that the atmosphere is casual and the restrooms are roomy and clean just the way I like it.Look elsewhere for your car
by mpod on 11/04/2007I am in the market for a sports car or sports coupe in the $44,000 to $58,000 range. I went to Classic Chevrolet after reading a favorable review of the 2008 Corvette in an auto magazine. This dealership had a large number of unsold… Corvette's arrayed around the exterior of the showroom, all of them dirty, with one of the cars displaying a sizeable amount of dried bird droppings. I was approached by salesman "Ricky" who was dressed as if to do farm work. I indicated my interest and asked to test drive a Corvette. Ricky stated this was contrary to company policy, but at my request went to ask the sales manager for permission. Ricky returned and said the sales manager had refused, giving me a series of ad hoc reasons for the denial, such as insurance concerns, that Corvette buyers don't like any miles on the cars they purchase, etc. I thanked Ricky and left. I am a 50+ year old male who drove up in a Mercedes, wearing a $500 cell phone on my belt. My wife and I purchased a Mercedes CLS 550 in June--the dealership let us test drive several cars. I went to an Audi dealership last weekend and test drove an S5. The Audi personnel were courteous and friendly. In my opinion, Ricky and his sales manager were unable and uninterested in distinguishing a serious qualified customer from a joyrider. They also seemed to think there was a throng of customers clamoring to purchase their unsold inventory of Corvettes. Their behavior was simply a preview of the type of customer care and attention I would receive. The entire experience was a turn-off. I concluded that no matter how nice a car a Corvette may be, if you buy one you will have to deal with a Chevrolet dealership, which will be a hassle.Extremely Pleasant Sales Experience
by b290503 on 01/05/2011updated 08/19/2025I saw a car on-line at Classic Chevrolet of Grapevine, requested a quote, received it and bought a car. How easy is that? No games, no sales manager gimmicks, just a fair price for the car. I would highly recommend John Hanson and everyone… in the use car department, SHOP HERE FIRST! for a no hassle car buying experience. Thank you Classic Chevrolet of Grapevine!Excellent Used Car Sales Experience
by Bodean26 on 01/18/2014updated 08/19/2025I had talked with Steve D. on an SUV for myself. About our dealership
I had a similar problem buying a Corvette in Phoenix. I had to work with the general manager. They ran a credit report and it took several days to get a loaner from 'somewhere'. They were initially very reluctant. I could not drive the car I wanted to buy.
