We had a great experience when buying our new truck. Wilmer was so great. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to get the price we wanted. Wilmer and everyone else were so nice.

Took it in for HVAC work, got it back with messed up interior
by UnhappyEVguy on 10/19/2020My 2011 Volts HVAC (evaporator leak) went out, when I picked up my car it had damage to the dash, interior trim and the radio touch screen was scratched, the service manager refused to fix it, said that I had to prove it in court to get… them to fix it. Long story short I had to contact GM customer service as well as the leadership team at AutoNation for them to do anything. Would not recommendHi, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. We would like to work towards a resolution, so if you are willing, please reach out to us at (512) 592-3197 to discuss this further.

by Anonymous on 09/19/2018updated 09/26/2018Have had better service in the past. This time had a 3.5 hour wait for a service promised for 2 hours. When I finally received my car, it still had the used napkins, dirty paper rug, and some plastic seat cover that I imagine was used by… the service labor reps.Service
by TAT1984 on 09/13/2018I was told the things I was having done would be done in 2-2.5 hrs. After waiting 3.5 hrs and my vehicle was just sitting in a bay, I told to manager to bring my vehicle now. Nobody had touched it for over an hr as I checked frequently.Amazing Customer Service!
by Janelle on 08/22/2018updated 08/28/2018When I first called Darren, I pretty much told him not to waste my time. Asked me to come and just waste an hour with him. He introduced me to Dan and from there they both went above and beyond to help me. Everyone at AutoNation… Chevrolet Austin was very nice and welcoming. I will definitely be sending more people to them. Thank you so much Darren, Dan and staff! You guys are amazing!Never Again
by WillDavis on 08/13/2018updated 08/24/2018Even with an appointment it took 3 hours and $150 to get a diagnostic test that I could have gotten from Auto Zone in 10 minutes for free. I knew better than to agree to it so I only have myself to blame.Purchase of my 2019 Corvette
by Brad Shelton on 08/15/2018The sales team bent over backwards to make the deal on my new Corvette. It was the best thing experience that I have ever had. The guys are my number oneThe sales process was WONDERFUL, thanks to Shane Bogardes
by jMunny! on 08/02/20185 stars for Shane Bogardes, my sales rep. He was relaxed, honest, friendly, and thorough. He is an expert on the new Volt, and after discussing it at length, he realized that a used Volt would be better suited for me. 1 day later, he helped… me drive away with an awesome used Volt in excellent condition at an amazing price! I've had my eye on Volt since 2012, and Shane made the process of me driving my dream car painless. I especially loved that the price was the price, no negotiation. So I didn't have to pretend I hated it or specifically look for things to complain about. We could just be honest with each other and find the right car for me. Mine is awesome! I took away 1 star for the financing part. I was paying cash, so I hoped it would have gone quickly. But the finance manager, who was extremely nice, kept me in his office for a loooong time trying to sell me service upgrades at pretty ridiculous prices. When I said no, he immediately came down on the price and also offered an additional discount if I paid cash for that as well - which was still nearly half the price of the car itself! So that experience tainted my "honest, no negotiating" experience that Shane had established. Extra disappointing that he was willing to sell me the services knowing full well they were dramatically overpriced. It was old-school "squeeze em for all they got" selling, verses Shane's "let's find the right thing for you" selling. One last thing was that this office is where all the paperwork happens, and there was not a recycle bin in sight. Just a trash can full of paper. In 2018. In Austin. In summary, go ask for Shane Bogardes at AutoNation Chevorolet, and don't worry about haggling. Just have fun and let Shane guide you to the right car! (And then prepare for a LOT of time saying no to financing once he passes you off to the finance manager.)New truck purchase
by Omar casas on 07/21/2018Haley and Dan took good care of me during the showing and negotiations of my new truck purchase. I already had a 2016 Silverado but upgraded to the 2018.Long wait
by Longwait1 on 07/03/2018I had an appointment and was told 2 hours for the work that needed to be completed. My car was done around the 2.5 hours. 30 minutes later, they still didn't come to get me, so I went to the rep that assisted me to begin with. He was eating… and told me he was still working on my paperwork. I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for him to finish eating, I assume before I was able to leave.Service

by Willray719 on 03/17/2018Great attitude to make a deal and explain associated costs and trade value.Ultimately a Fair Deal
by Yootboy on 12/11/2017I found the vehicle on several online sites all listing the same great price. The dealership was prompt in contacting me and returning calls. I had done my research and I knew the price was very good, so I honored their no haggle policy.… The difficulty came when they came back with half of what I was wanting for my trade-in. I was passed around to several different people. I declined, thanked them and left. Before I got a mile away I received a call saying they would honor my asking price so i went back and made the deal. It took many hours but ultimately I walked away with what I was looking for and, based on my research, I believe it was more than fair for them as well. The staff has been helpful and friendly throughout the process. I was told on a number of occasions they do things differently, however, it felt much the same as other experiences when it came to haggling over my trade-in and some of the conversation surrounding that part of the deal. That being said, my salesperson, Tommy, took lots of time and care with me to go over and prep the vehicle. They made sure I had a full gas tank and everyone was friendly and professional. Assuming the price is right and a deal could be made I would certainly purchase there again. (A note to the wise, always do your research on your trade-in as well as the vehicle you’re purchasing. See what KBB and other sites say but also check to see what they retail for. Then, be realistic about your vehicle. Know what is fair for both, recognizing they are in the business to make money, then don’t settle for less than your fair deal. Be willing to walk away from the table understanding there will be other deals out there. Don’t fall in love with the car till the deal is done. Remember, the car sales industry trains their staff daily for this so you need to do your homework as well to be ready and remain calm and professional in the process.)1st Time Buyer
by Mahonie on 11/28/2017updated 12/04/2017I was helped by Sean Greenwood and it was a great experience. There was no back and forth about the price and everything was very transparent. My dad came along with me and was pleased with the process as well. I had left another dealership… earlier that day that was trying to give me the runaround and need a down payment. AutoNation had the exact car I was looking for and no down payment was needed. The next time I need a vehicle I'll be going to AutoNation.First service at a new dealer
by Kacylee3131 on 10/02/2017Unfortunately my first experience with my 2016 suburban in a new town was awful. I took my vehicle in for a routine service with tire rotation. First off, the service rep was very put off with me, from the beginning. As I tried to explain… that I had a rear signal issue, wasn't sure if it was a bulb or fuse, he proceeded to ask me the same question 3 times, like he wasn't listening to my explanation. Then he quoted me 60-90 min and it took 2 hrs and 45 min, after I had to go in and question why a routine service was taking so long. When he gave me my paperwork, there was no explanation as to what they did, it was just sign here. As I sat in the car going over the paper work, they wrote that all my fluid levels were normal and that nothing was added. My car and onstar had already notified me that wiper fluid was low, not to mention I watched two men added something. I feel like it was complete dishonesty and I'm not even sure if they did anything. My tire pressure was also low on all four tires, again notified by onstar and my vehicle info, my paper work showed nothing written, not even existing psi. So of course as I turn the car on I notice my tire pressure was still low...I'm not sure why I was treated like this, as I've never had any issue from any of dealerships before but this was so bad I would never go back. Completely unacceptable that they would service a vehicle in such a horrible way.
