by JohnL76 on 07/28/2023I took my Ford Explorer in for an oil change, and Mr. Edmunds took care of me. He told me it was going to be an hour and a half wait. He came and told me my car was done 45 minutes later. I was surprised because he came and told another… customer he wanted to get her an uber ride because her car needed a part that they didn't have, so it would take her longer. Great initial sales person - the "closer" brought it down
by Kevin D on 07/26/2023Excellent salesperson experience. Our salesperson Jaime Hernandez was friendly, helpful, and tried his best to make the experience efficient and pleasant. Post sale he has continued to be very responsive, researching questions we have about… the vehicle and making sure that we are able to use the various features. Unfortunately, it turned into a traditional car buying experience once we started talking numbers. Confusing re-arranging of the numbers, mysterious charges, missing rebates, and discounts all made their way into the process once it was handed off to the "closer." If I had not printed out all the online pricing that AutoNation had on their websites, I would have been charged thousands more than what they were advertising. It's great when a dealership asks you what is important and what you will be using the new vehicle for. However, when they sell you the same old stuff regardless of what you say you need, it lets you know that they are filling out the forms because some consultant said they should, not because they really care. In our case we specifically said that the vehicle was for long-distance travel - and they still pushed us to the AutoNation plan that is good only at their dealerships. I'm sure that their service department is good (although I have already found that they have no idea how to fill a tire to proper pressure) but if we are traveling it's going to be easier to find a Ford service center than an Autonation dealership. My only experience with the service department so far has been the improperly filled tires at delivery and their inability to answer a question about what part number is required to allow my trailer TPMS and camera to show up on the screen in the truck. They did do a great job of repairing the paint on the truck that was damaged unloading from the delivery truck, but they did not repair the damaged trim that was pointed out at the same time. Overall, an acceptable experience for a traditional dealership, but did not make me a "customer for life" so far.Hello Kevin, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. Out of State - normal Service
by Blue F150 on 07/17/2023Had to quickly drive to TX from NJ without getting the oil change service completed on my truck. When arriving needed to get the truck serviced before returning to NJ only about 300 miles left before needing an oil change. Tried to sch. an… appointment using the website link and it kept locking up on me. Called the phone number on the web page and the employee was able to setup an appointment for the same day. When arriving I was greeted right away and directed to the waiting area. I was told the service appointment would take 1 1.5 hours and it was finished within 1 3/4 hours. They really tried for the time they told me. The high temp for the day was 104 and that alone would have me going slower. 15 minutes off was not bad because of the high temp.Hello, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. Recall Service 2023
by Clark R on 07/06/2023I called to schedule a door latch replacement on my vehicle and was told it would take 3-4 days. When I arrived to drop off my car, I was then told it could take up to 2 weeks and there is no loaner vehicle. People cant go 2 weeks without… something to get around in. Fortunately, it only took 4 days. My return visit was interesting as I stood in front of 2 gentleman's desks for several minutes while they mindlessly stared at their phones without offering assistance before the person that helped me during drop-off realized how incompetent her coworkers are and stepped in to help.
