  • Worst Experience!!

    1 out of 5 starsby MGarman08 on 09/17/2018

Had a good experience the day I purchased a pre-owned Escape. Was called ten days after purchasing the car to inform me they made a major error in typing in the wrong payoff amount in my paperwork nor did they call to verify the payoff. Out of coincidence the salesperson stopped working there two days after my sale. Was spoken to and made to feel like a thief by the General Manager and Owner of the company!! Ended up returning the vehicle back to them and getting my trade in back. Took my business elsewhere and I recommend as a consumer that you look elsewhere.

  • Poor Customer Service

1 out of 5 starsby Husband on 12/01/2017

We saw a truck on the internet. Called them to find out about the car. They told us about it. We agreed to come in for a test drive. When we arrived, they had our name printed out with the car we were supposed to drive. After 30 min of waiting for the car they said would be ready. They told us they couldn’t find the keys. I asked why didn’t they call before we got there Tj say they couldn’t find the keys. We left, They didn’t ask us if we wanted to see any other car. We left and went to the dealer down the street. While there, we got an email, not a call that they found the keys. Against my better judgement I went back. We test drove the car. When I asked if my wife could drive the car they got a female salesperson to test drive the car. My wife said the female salesperson the whole test drive tried to upsell her to another car.. Saying oh look at the pretty blue one. Tell your husband you want to drive the pretty blue one. When they got back the female salesperson said (speaking for my wife) she really likes the blue one. My wife could have cared less. We left the dealership. My wife said she never said she wanted the blue one, which was more expensive. I mean really. Did they think we don’t talk. What kind of games are they playing?

  • Great people, and a great car!

    5 out of 5 starsby Nrosato1288 on 10/11/2017

Fantastic customer service and exceptional commitment to getting you exactly what you need. Unfortunately I had bought a vehicle previously that was totaled within the first few months of owning it. But I was able to acquire a new (and might I add better) vehicle with NO issue and quicker than I had anticipated. Great place to buy a car 😁

  • bought a week ago. Already driving a rental

check engine light while purchasing. Said battery issue. Changed battery and radio failed. took back next week to have "ACM" replaced (audio control module) said need another part and issues a rental. Double checked the dealer description of vehicle on website. The list included a moon roof and towing package. The vehicle is missing those items. This is supposedly a "Certified Preowned" vehicle.

  • Bad sales tactics

1 out of 5 starsby Mikesurd on 08/26/2016

Yesterday, My wife, son and I had an appointment to meet a salesman at Fred Beans Doylestown ford store. When we arrived another salesman approached us asking what we needed, we asked for the specific salesman we were directed too, this gentleman said that he would take care of us because the person we were to meet wasn't there yet. This Guy never introduced himself, he found our folder on the desk and directed us to his desk. At which time I saw his business cards and his name "Mike". he proceeded to take us to the lot to show us a specific ford Edge, but we stated we didn't ask for a specific car, we had seen multiple cars on their web site which fit our financial constraints, and with our trade in of another ford model we had purchased 6 months prior (which we dislike). the sales man told us that all of the cars in the price range we saw were sold, and that they have many other cars for a little more money. after test driving 3 different "certified" cars, (one of which clearly had a drive train malfunction despite the $25,000+ "certified" price. we sat down to discuss a sale's agreement. First we were given a trade in value on our 2013 escape, which was $8,000 less than we paid for a "certified ford" 6 months ago. He stated that their is a glut of 2013's coming off lease, "so ours wasn't worth as much". this left us with a gap in price which would have to be carried over, but he stated we would have to put down $4500 additional to get the used car that we didn't want in the first place. The Next thing he stated was that he could get us into a new 2016 they had (which had none of our package request). which would cost even more per month, But they would fully finance. This whole process took 4 hours, with him constantly running back to his "Manager" and leaving us sit there for 10-15 or 20 minutes. then my son inquired about another used vehicle which totally derailed any progress. now I find that the lesser priced cars we wanted to see in the first place, are still in stock after all. I don't believe lying to your customers to start a sale is an acceptable tactic.

  • worst

    1 out of 5 starsby mattmoon1 on 03/24/2016

the worst purchase all my life. i really would love to give minus star. i bought a truck 2008 f350. while selling, they say like a brand new and i believed them. on test drive i realized that steering wheel was not straight and salesperson said that it is fine we can figured it out. i bought truck with full price (whatever they asked no bargain) and i also bought 75,000 miles warranty which one salesperson said $3,6xx next day another salesperson said $4290.00 because it is diesel. i agreed and bought. one week after i went there with 4 problems. (drove 1000 miles) 1) steering wheel not straight : they said it is balanced but we switched the wheels (they put right tire to the left, left tire to the right) before they switch tires steering wheel was aslope to left, after they switch tires steering wheel was aslope to right ???? 2) cruise control not working : they did something and it started to work. i used 5 or 6 times and done again. doesn't work at all. 3) driver side front break was done after 1000 miles driving ???? they changed rotor and breaks for free. thanks to them. i don't know how truck past inspection with that much worse breaks ? 4) sound around driver side front wheel: they said that it was about breaks. you will not be hearing anymore. i went there for free oil change and figure the problems out today (3-24-2016) i had 4 problems: 1) steering wheel not straight : this time they said that tires are fine but if you would like to make steering wheel straight, you need to upgrade tires ???? i said no. i don't want to upgrade my tires i bought that truck less than 2 months ago. they said we can't do anything... i understand that whatever i tried to explain they don't accept their fault. asks money all the time. 2) cruise control not working : at the beginning they asked $100 for fixing when i said that it was not working, they barely accept to replace it. 3) sound and licking around driver front side : the sound that i complained before i was increased and i noticed oil marks under the truck where i parked. they asked $200 because there is something they need to clean or fix. i even don't understand because saying 100 things before get to the point. 4) they charged $438.xx for registering weight class 8 but they registered weight class 5 which costs $268.xx. i got my money back barely. if i didn't notice they were going to keep my money for themself. they returned $155.00. i need to register my truck and trailer again for gcwr which cost around $500. people who work there they don't know what they do! they were asking their money all the time but they don't care how much you spend because of their fault. honestly, point is not money only! point is they fooled me as a customer!!! i feel like i bought a truck from unknown dealer from unknown place. i feel so upset and unsatisfied. i feel like somebody ripped me off. congratulate them! you guys made a super cool sales. this business doesn't have business ethics for sure. if i read all comments on the internet before i go there, i would never go there for sure. thanks for reading. it is now up to you buying something from ford fred beans of doylestown.
  • Great F150 Buying Experience

    5 out of 5 starsby andymann404 on 02/24/2016

I don’t relish doing the research for a new house or car, but occasionally it has to be done, so I did my homework. When we walked into the Fred Beans dealership, everyone was friendly. Our Salesman, Patrick S., listened to what I wanted, and scoured the surrounding area (PA, NJ, DE, and MD) looking for it. He found a couple of trucks that were close, but I decided to order one to get exactly what I wanted. When the Sales Manager (Gary?) reviewed my order, he made a minor suggestion, which I agreed with and went with (I’m glad he reviewed it). Turn around was great for the truck to be built (5 weeks, when I was expecting more like 10)...Patrick kept me in the loop the whole time, and sent me a pic the morning my truck hit their lot. One small discrepancy on the order was promptly dealt with by Patrick, and he absorbed the modest price increase. Besides getting an internet price that they then beat by a bit, and a couple of little extras thrown in, I had told them I was looking for every rebate that could be applied....weeks later when I mentioned ‘rebate’, they immediately trotted out 3 rebates for me ($250 more than I had found). All in all, the people were friendly and knowledgeable, listened to me, and gave me a great out-the-door price. I love my new truck (go Ford!), and I would definitely go back to Fred Beans in the future.
  • Says one thing, does another

1 out of 5 starsby MrsHotts on 01/08/2016

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I had a bad experience several years ago at Fred Beans Dodge and I refused to go back. My husband recently took a Dale Carnegie class with several people from FB Ford and convinced me to give them another try. I found a car and I was trading in my current car. I was told that I was being given a set amount of money for my trade in AND they were going to pay off my existing auto loan on top of that set amount. I and my husband questioned that several times to make sure the loan payoff was not being taken out of that set amount and they told me that was correct. Next day I was looking over the paperwork (we didn't get out of there until almost 1130 pm after getting there at 645) and I saw that they took the loan payoff after the set amount. I was also charged for a temp plate which I didn't receive or need as I was transferring my plate. I talked to people in finance who told me I needed to speak to my sales person, Mona. She stated over the phone several times that it was the set amount AND the payoff which , to her, that meant the loan payoff was taken off that set amount they offered me. I asked for a manager and she told me they had all left for the day, then changed her story when I questioned why they were open until 9 but there were no mangers there at 5:30. She told me she would call me back. I received a call from Ryan, the used car sales manager, who told me that there was no way they would give me that set amount and pay off my existing loan without taking the payoff from that set amount. I asked if there was anything they could do and he said no. This was after I was told the night I bought it, that if there was anything wrong or anything they could do to get me to give them a perfect 10 on the Ford survey.

  • Know Your Trade-In Value

    3 out of 5 starsby turtleboy3909 on 07/28/2015

Review Update (7-30-15): After writing this review I received a call from the GM Tony at Fred Beans. He wanted to see what he could to fix the situation. Tony was very courteous and was more than happy to talk about my experience. After all was said and done he admitted my trade-in was grossly under valued and offered me $13,250 for my trade. I can live with this amount and now I am going to purchase the car. So a big thank you goes out to Tony...great job smoothing over the deal. This goes for everyone shopping for a car at any dealership...be sure to know what the trade-in value is of your car and what the selling price should be for the car you are buying. It's always better to be an informed buyer with any big purchase you may make.
    • On Friday I went to pick up the car and this experience was great! The salesman Josh that helped me finalize the purchase was very knowledgable about the car and very thorough explaining everything. And I would I like to say John in the financing department was great and managed to get me out the door by 4:00 as promised. Because of how things changed on my second visit and how well they took care of me I would suggest going to Fred Beans in Doylestown. Thanks again Tony, Josh and John!

  • Pre owned Fusion

5 out of 5 starsby gsassy on 07/07/2015

I purchased a 2014 Fusion from Fred Beans Ford Doylestown recently. The Salesman was very accommodating and I feel the deal on the car was more than fair. I had shopped local dealers and compared this 2014 to the others 2013 models. I have purchased from Beans on three other occasions, and will again in the future.

Salesman did everything possible to get us into a car. When noise was discovered during test drive that was another story as we have waited 1 week now and still don't have our car.
  • Nice facility, great sales people

4 out of 5 starsby Crewssr on 06/19/2015

I'm not one who relishes the car buying experience. But, I was pleasantly surprised by the way I was treated at Fred Beans Ford. From the initial greeting through the final handshake. I was treated with respect and transparency. I would shop at this dealership again.
  • Great experience in buying my first American car

5 out of 5 starsby LrrPSU on 06/18/2015

Working with Fred Beans was a wonderful experience. Sales team, particularly Mike and Harry were honest, real and knowledgeable. They were genuinely excited and helpful about getting me into a great car with a great deal. The best part, I wasn't sold on getting an American car but they convinced me to consider the Lincoln mkc and I couldn't be more thrilled. It's quality luxury experience. They know their cars and take the time to listen to what people are looking for. They took any of the stress around getting a new car out of the equation.
  • Overall Purchase Experience

    4 out of 5 starsby NJBuyer1876 on 06/14/2015

We purchased a 2014 Ford Mustang Convertible in May 2015 at your Doylestown, PA site. Mike Blanck was our Sales Consultant. He did an excellent job, very accommodating and made the purchase very easy. Jeff was also helpful with the paperwork transaction, including financing. The only issue we had was with the license plate acquisition. We live in New Jersey and we wanted a Deborah Heart & Lung plate. Initially we were told that they were not sure that it could be done, but Jeff would check with Christina. Christina Allen called us for clarification and after the conversation, she said that she could get the required plate. About one week later we received the plate but it was the standard NJ plate and not Deborah. I called Mike to inquire about the wrong plate. He in turn spoke to Christina and we were told the easiest resolution would be for us the go to the NJ Motor Vehicles Office and get the Deborah plates ourselves - which we did. This was not the type of customer service we were expecting from Fred Bean and it dampened what we previously experienced.

Steven our Sales Representative was attentive to our needs and worked with us as opposed to just trying to achieve yet another "win". He did not rush us and was more than accommodating throughout the whole process. You guys need an entire staff of Steve's at Fred Beans Ford. If I have the pleasure of working with him again in the future I definitely will.
  • The Customer Does Come First At Fred Bean's Ford

5 out of 5 starsby wmtrolio on 06/10/2015

I really appreciated Mike K (service) bringing the problems with my Milan to Tony's attention. Tony worked hard to find a solution that worked for me. Josh B and Luke handled the details. All were very helpful through out the entire process. This was a 180 degree difference from when I bought the Milan there. I was not at all happy with how sales handled that purchase. The ONLY reason I considered staying with Bean's when the Milan developed problems was because of the trust I had developed in Mike as he serviced the Milan and his initiative in going to Tony to see what they could do for me. Now, I am a Bean's supporter.

  • Nice people, comfortable dealership, pleasant experience

    5 out of 5 starsby jonron4937 on 06/02/2015

Dealership was very comfortable and clean. Everyone was nice and helpful, not pushy or overboard but made it seem like they had all day to help us look and ask questions.
  • Helpful, friendly, not pushy

5 out of 5 starsby dayvrock on 06/01/2015

The experience was great. For me to want to buy something I want to get the same respect regardless if I am going to make a purchase or not. When I first got the idea to buy the specific car I wanted it was in 2014. When I showed up there to "kick the tires" so to speak the sales person was helpful and friendly despite knowing I wasn't going to make a purchase that day. That respect is exactly why I came back a year later to buy the car there. The person that showed me the car in 2014 wasn't there in 2015 but they had an equal impact on my decision as the sales person in 2015. This needs to be taken into consideration because by a pure numbers standpoint the person who got the sale in 2015 has the advantage. But in reality the person in 2014 who didn't get the sale influenced my purchase decision more.
