  • 2019 M2 Comp oil change and routine service

    Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had a chance to get these routine svc items done on a spur of the moment. Normally I schedule it a week or so in advance. Tulsa BMW was flexible and got all I needed done today. And the usual car was and vacuum job as well.

    Surface technician was good, and video of the car was great. However, there was some clunkiness around the actual service. The oil was changed, but it was scheduled for brake fluid service. Getting it handled the right way was a smooth process with the technician.

    Watched one of my run flat tires drop pressure to 0, on the highway, traveling home about 20 miles out of town. Called into the dealership, new tire in stock, drove there without incident and had a new tire in under 2hrs when they were booked solid. It's not inexpensive for these tires, but considering the wait with AAA, the 100 degree temps and on a major highway, it was worth the cost. I'm so grateful! Thanks guys!

  • Did not do a thorough job.

    I went in for a pre-purchase inspection and when I recieved the text with the link to review the inspection, I noticed that they had marked the lights and bulbs as good and the windshield/ windows as good also. I knew from driving the car to the dealership that the left low beam is burnt out, the adaptive headlights were giving me an error on the dash, and there is a 12in crack in the windshield. I asked the service writer as to why there was a discrepancy and he said he would look into it. The answers I received were that the computer automatically populates the green check marks and that the technician has to go in and manually enter discrepancies. And I was also told the Windshield wasn't mentioned; because they don't replace them so I wouldn't have had them do the work anyways. You would figure a pre-purchase inspection would tell you everything that is wrong with the car not, just what they would fix. And then to top it off on the invoice it mentioned a car wash that they didn't even do. Definitely will not be taking my car or any other BMW I purchase to them.

    Jonathan Vera is a Service Advisor. Our BMW required repairs after a minor accident. He was so helpful working with our insurance and repairing our vehicle. He was like an advocate for us.

  • Battery replacement

    I took my car to the dealer to have the battery replaced. They said it would be about two hour just to change a battery that should only take 15 minutes. After I had been there for over an hour I get a video of the entire car on a lift. This video/survey of the car took longer than the time to change the battery. I will never buy another BMW because of the service departments. It took almost three hours to change the battery. Ridiculous. .

    When you’re experiencing car problems and have to make arrangements to get to work regular updates or responding to questions is highly important to the customer. On this occasion it didn’t happen. The service guy was helpful and knowledgeable. My service contact was not. I had arranged for transport to work and just as I was being dropped off around 7 am I was alerted my car was ready. If notice 10-15 minutes earlier I would have been dropped at the dealership, which is closer to home.

    Excellent service! In the wait room I believe they should have stir straws for their coffee maker machine that auto adds sugar! Never mixes well enough lol it matters. That would be my only improvement! Great staff, I also received a video result of my vehicle inspection showed tire tread good, bushings and brakes good. This was emailed to 5 minutes before they came to give me my keys, very cool! First I’ve seen of this type of service and I enjoyed it. I would highly recommend BMW of Tulsa for service! Also great price on their oil change! Less expensive than my infinity!
