Back to running like brand new!
by Skippy98 on 09/28/2022First off, I Love my car--a Chrysler 300S. Moving on, Bob Caldwell did an outstanding job! Both fuel pumps and all the crankshafts, lifters and rockers were replaced, and my car is running like new. I can feel the power of the engine when I… accelerate, just the way it should be! They stuck to the issues at hand and had my car ready before the estimated finish date. Zak was great, keeping me updated every step of the way, even looking into additional options of repair, and I am very satisfied with the service I received. I am definitely motivated to bring my 300S to Bob Caldwell again for future service.Nice to hear the feedback even during major overhauls like you just had done. We have several techs that we are fortunate to not only have a decade of experience but have stuck it out and been faithful at our dealership through Covid, through manufacture changes, and even through bankruptcy. Very disappointed

Chose not to have repairs done and when I picked up my vehicle it was driving worse than when I dropped it off.Amber I'm very sorry to see this. In regards to the communication I see where Joe had reached out on 4 separate occasions between the 15th and 16th. Perhaps you did not receive his efforts and apologize as Joe typically is very well received from his customers. As far as the the brakes being seized, they would not be worse but with no work being completed, perhaps it seemed worse. by Singh on 09/20/2022I went there to do electrical checkup on my truck ram 1500 2022 it was there for two days they called me said it’s ready for pickup I picked it up came home notice there was a scratch on my radio display I took pictures send it to them… they said you have to bring it in and I went next day the service manager came out I showed him that this wasn’t there before he turned and said no this wasn’t us you did it so I asked to talked to someone senior then him he became aggressive and start threatening me that I have to leave the property He didn’t asked his workers that if it happened by them just said no we didn’t do it and get outThank you Bob Caldwell

I had limited time on Saturday to look the vehicle over and he accommodated me very easily. When I came back on Sunday to do the actual test drive and to… finalize the deal he was very helpful, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him at any point in time if you are in search of a new vehicle. In fact everyone there that I dealt with was a pleasure to work with from Angela to Mike to Brian. They all made this car buying experience, which is usually extremely stressful, a very exciting endeavor. If I ever have to do this again I will look these people up.Thanks John. It’s the End of a Long Relationship
by Mandy W on 09/17/2022I have been going to Bob Caldwell for over 10 years now. I’ve never had the experience that I’ve had this time around. It was very unpleasant. I needed a battery replacement and before my scheduled service, Zak asked that I call in. He was… concerned I checked in the previous night with some newer staff who were less knowledgeable. If you hire them, you should be comfortable leaving them alone to perform their duties, or there should be a skilled expert on site to guide them. Here’s where my issue lies, I had a diagnostic test that was 183.00. In the past if a service needed to be performed that fee went towards the completion of the service. I was then told that’s not the case and was quoted 533.00 for a battery replacement. I was made to feel as though I were lying regarding the fee you bc towards the service and the explanation provided by the supervisor was, that wouldn’t be fair because they don’t get paid hourly. He also stated that never was a thing. I absolutely was, I have paperwork from way back confirming this, and also my family and friends has also trusted this company and are familiar with the same experience. Im not sure when this changed, however it has left a bad taste in mine as well as my families mouths and we will not be returning. I decided to have the service elsewhere and I saved money. I am however disheartened that I ended up paying 183.00 for a test alone. That is obsessive and we shouldn’t be penalized because of the way you are paying your employees. I hope you make this clear in the future because this was bad customer service and a negative customer experience that will cause a loss. Perhaps you have the wrong management staff now. The only constant has been the amazing cashier who has been there for years remaining resilient and personable.Mandy, appreciate your feedback and would like to assist if I can. I don't believe that a battery test should be a 1 hour check out and I will discuss that with the managers tomorrow. That said, more often than not the diag is added to the repair. Many shops say that if you do the work, the diag will go toward the repair when in actuality the diag is added to the repair cost quoted to you. This is common practice and vindicated when diagnoses are warranted. Not knowing the particulars I can not look up to see if diagnoses is righteous here. For instance, some diag requires a long trail before it's determined the issue is the battery. Other times, it's simply a battery test like "no start". Better attention
by George on 09/16/2022I made appointment for 10 am and then at the end of the day told to bring car other day and then bring car back And then told they don’t have parts for car . Why they sido told me that the first daySorry to see this George and certainly happy to intervene. For repairs all dealers are short on many parts. I could understand if the vehicle was in for repair. If the vehicle was in for scheduled maintenance that would be a concern. Albeit there are some maintenance parts on back order, we have over 1M in the parts department to ensure this does not happen. I would love to help however I can or at least receive some feedback so I can correct issues like this in the future and perhaps help you too George. Not Happy
by Meech on 09/15/2022I’m very unhappy with service I was given a date to drop my truck off and I did just that only to find out 2 days later it was still not even diagnosed so basically I dropped it off to sit on there lotVery sorry to hear this. I spoke to the service manager and he said the vehicle was dropped off and we were only given one day to diagnose, not 2. In 1950, Ruth Ann Caldwell encouraged her husband Bob to follow his dreams. Later that year, Bob opened a small car lot in Columbus on High Street with the slogan "Where High Street Bends, Your Car Worries End." After 16 years of success selling quality used vehicles Bob Caldwell was approached by Chrysler to open a franchise on Morse Rd. He did so in November 1967 and Bob Caldwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram was born.
Fast forward to today and we have celebrated our 50th year of operation, still family owned and operated by Bob's three daughters and we have welcomed the 3rd Generation with Justin Harmon as the General Manager. We have grown to over 115 employees and we are thankful for every year that we get to serve the City of Columbus, State of Ohio and all our surrounding neighbors.
