    I have dealt with different Honda dealerships over the years. DCH Academy Honda is by far the best Honda dealership that I have purchased from. A little over a year and a half ago I worked out a deal with Nitin Bassi for a CR-V. The transaction went very smoothly and the process was not "high" pressure. Just recently it was time for 2 new Honda vehicles. I did not hesitate to go back to DCH Academy Honda and work with Nitin Bassi again. This time I was interested in a Honda Pilot and Accord to replace my CR-V and an older Accord. Nitin was very accommodating, polite, not "in your face". He gave me all of his attention and was very knowledgeable. When it came time to numbers, there weren't any games being played. Once I finished up the paperwork with Nitin it was on to Hussain Nawaz the Finance Manager. Hussain too was polite and gave me plenty of time to review all the paperwork before signing. Even when it came time to go over the optional dealer items, I had no pressure to opt-in for them. In a matter of hours, I was in 2 new vehicles. I highly recommend Nitin, Hussain and the DCH Academy Honda dealership.

    I had shopped around for my Accord, feeling a lot of pressure from the dealerships. Then I went to DCH Academy Honda. My salesman, Ryan Hoey, offered a refreshing approach. The sale became about what I wanted, not what car he needed to sell. I got the car I wanted, with the features I wanted. Ryan made me feel like family.

    I was dealing with sales person Harshad Panchal (HP) @ DCH Honda Old Bridge. Before buying my new Odyssey 2012 I have done the home work and compared the prices offered by others dealers in our area and I got a good offer from this guy. He is very nice, patient,quick in responding to emails and phone calls and gave me the detailed information with all the breakup costs. So we are stuck with a deal over the phone and when we arrived the turnaround was very quick. I would recommend to speak with this guy if you buying!!!

    PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM DCH and DEALERRATER.com - this is probably DCH owned and advertised website. NO wonder they have 4.9/5 rating and every other dealer has 2.3! No other dealer advertises Dealer rater in their emails. I was looking to lease a 2012 Honda Odyssey and had the worst buying experience here. I purchased my 1st car here and have been going there for car servicing and experience had always been good – So I went back for leasing my next car and was shocked at the treatment given. They glorify themselves saying you would have a seamless experience and tell how bad other dealerships are, how other dealerships charge more for various other things like documentation fee, car detailing fee - in fact they charge more than others in a different way. I went to DCH with a quote from a local NJ dealer and they would not match it and I had to walk out. They kept following up to find out if I had made the purchase and I declined several times to go there unless they matched the price. Then I sent them a pricing from out of state dealer which was lower than the local NJ dealer- this time they called me saying they are” matching “ it – saying its month end and would like to make the sale – only difference in the “matching” being the state tax. It was the day of unusual October snow in NJ and I went there only because they called me and had agreed to match the price. When I reached there, they went back to their original “high” quote and said “NO dealer in NJ can give this price” –the one that out of state dealer quoted. The most ridiculous statement was “Honda leasing Program differs by each state”. I wanted to lease only for 2 years - the salesman said I have to pay a minimum 3 year NJ DMV charges – he was easily trying to pocket 1 year of registration fee –I checked with DMV and there is no such minimum registration period. Seeing me upset and raising my voice for getting me to the dealership on a bad weather day in the pretext of “matching” the price and moreover cheating me, they played with numbers by asking me to pay few thousand dollars down upfront- when I was getting the same payment with NO money down. The manager Sunil Fernandez who intervened was the most arrogant person I have spoken to at DCH. When I asked him how he arrived at the leasing numbers, he said in the last 18 years he has not understood how that number is calculated!! Honda Management – please teach him some leasing calculations – it is also available on the internet! I finally leased my 2012 Honda Odyssey from an NJ dealer who matched my out-of-state quote. Please stay away from DCH. For those who go here, I request customers to do their homework before they go.

Our 4.9 score is achieved through hard work and true dedication to meet customer needs. DealerRater and Edmunds websites are for the customer- not for Dealer to manipulate as you stated. Part 1

    • *As a profession with Honda and over 10 Years Honda Experience I would like to address something that you had written,-“NO dealer in NJ can give this price” –the one that out of state dealer quoted. The most ridiculous statement was “Honda leasing Program differs by each state”. ********* To answer your question correctly - The formula to calculate a Lease should be standard from State to State with the guidelines set by the state because Taxation Formats Vary. The words "Lease Programs differ from state to state" are by far *NOT* the most ridiculous words I've ever heard but this is the Reason "Why". Our Dealer Programs are the same as Dealers in our Dealer Group- for instance- NJ,NY,DE. ******* Any state outside of what they qualify to be our Dealer Region - would have similiar programs as far as National APR or Interest Rates, but could have different leasing incentives based on there inventory levels and demand for vehicles in their area. ******* For Instance, a dealer South of Virginia would have a better lease Program on a 2wd Vehicle as supposed to a Dealer in Snow Prone States. Or a Grouping of States might be given an added incentive from the Manufacture to help them sell a vehicle they might have more of* Like Odysseys or Pilots in North or MidStates. Unlike dealers in the tri-state that sell cars at a higher pace than other states. * I read your comments about the Motor Vehicle Charge and I want to give you an answer in reference to that statement. If you lease your vehicle for 2 years, I am to charge you for New Plates and a 2 year registration. If you lease the vehicle for 30 monthes, the dealer is to charge you for a 3 year Registration. If you are interested in learning why we are charging you this - I can pull up our records and give you an answer why. For instance in NJ, the vehicle is registered to the Leasing Company, which in this situation would be American Honda. If your leasing the vehicle for 2 years you should have it pre-paid and registered for that period because they are protecting their interest. In NJ a vehicle with an expired Registration is subject to being Towed from the Road until a current Registration is presented. To me, this makes sense- but thats my logic behind it. If you were told you must pay for a 3 year registration for a 2 year lease- that is completely incorrect and I apologize for that. Im not here to add insult to injury but to clarify the truth. *As far as your concerns with the Sales Manager - this whole issue could have been handled better and I wish you had followed up with the store prior to posting this review due to inaccuracy that could still be answered or addressed. We do pride ourselfs and we are here to give to our customers. I am offering you some further assistance and I would like to meet with you to review the deal you received and what you offered. Part 2

I understand you made your attempt to purchase your vehicle on a less than favorable day considering the rare snow occurrance in October. Please keep in mind that I am here to help you, but you did not address this to the dealer until almost a full month later after your visit. Your co-operation would only ensure that this does not happen again- as well as bring closure to the matter at hand. You have every right to post on this website and write about your experience - I just hope that my words or ability to help you would at least offer an opportunity for us to really address your concerns prior to your review posting.     I received prices from various dealers but decided to go with dch since hey provided the best price. my salesman HP was very knowlegible about the vehicle i purchased the internet sales staff were wonderful.

    Sanjay Chadda is one of the best Sales consultants that we ever came across. Absolutely he understood what we needed and he was at his best to find a car for us. We definitely recommend DCH Academy Honda and Sanjay to everyone.

    Paul was extremely helpful and very knowledgable about the car I purchased. He really took the time out to ensure I understood the components of the car. He was very kind and worked hard to get me the price I could afford. Tion was also very kind and very knowledgable about the products offered with the sale of the car. Tion worked his best to offer me a great price and accessories that fit my needs. I highly recommend not only this dealership, but these employees to assist in finding you the car of your dreams!

    I highly recommend DCH. The salesman, Beshoy, was very friendly, helpful, and kind. We had a pleasant time dealing with him and shopping for a car did not feel like it took a lifetime. It was painless. He was very thorough and patient.

    I had gone to several different dealerships, began to feel frustrated, and just almost gave up hope on getting a new car. My last chance was DCH Academy Honda, I can now say I definitely saved the best for last. I can not begin to explain how helpful Essam (Sam) B. was, and how he put me at ease through the process. He was very friendly, and thorough. He made sure that I understood everything, all the paperwork, exactly what I would be purchasing, as well as any questions I had. To top it off, he searched sister stores to locate my dream car in the dream color I wanted. Thanks to Essam I have finally been able to get the 2013 Honda Pilot, the car I have been dreaming about for the past 8 years. I even brought some people with me and they saw the process and how he was very helpful and friendly. They requested his business card and I know we will all be recommending him to others. Thank you Essam for everything! I can't thank you enough!!!

    I found DCH while doing a search on the internet. They gave me a quote and stuck to it. I was happy with the entire experience. I have bought cars before but this was the first time I did it as a single mom. I am very happy with my car and my decision to buy it from DCH Academy Honda in Old Bridge.

    Nittin Bassi went above and beyond the call of duty to get me in the car i wanted for the price i could afford. He was extremely personable and didn't leave a single question un-answered. Nittin made buying a car an enjoyable experience. He wasn't just another dealer trying to make a sale, from the first minuet dealing with him he had a genuine understanding as well as outlook on my situation and did whatever he could to put me in the car i wanted. due to time i left the dealership the first day. Shortly after arriving home, i received a phone call from nittin telling me that he had found a way to get me into the car i wanted. I was offered two vehicles, but only one was in stock. before we decided my fiancé wanted to test drive both models, unfortunately only one of the two were in stock. nittin then offered to let us drive his PERSONAL vehicle complete with car-seat which was the same model to let us get a feel for it. Im sure any other dealer would have pushed us into a car we didn't want to make a sale but as i said he did everything and anything he could to get me into the car i wanted...and he did. Amazing experince and i would recommend DCH Academy Honda any day of the week. The entire staff was incredible including Demitrey who explained every aspect of the purchase to me. All together it was a great experience Thanks especially to Nittin Bassi!

    Called about a used car I saw on their website and the salesman said to put a $500 deposit down on the car to hold it before I took a look at it the next day. I saw the car and the interior was beaten up so I passed on buying it. It's now been three months and they have yet to return my deposit. They've continued to lie and say they posted the credit to my credit card, but they didn't - hoping I would forget. It's now been three months after countless phone calls and so I have had to resort to filing a complaint with the credit card company. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

    I started out at open road honda but after a bad experience (Which would take to long to explain) I went to DCH. Paul my salesmen was very helpful . We argreed on a price and I picked up the car a few days later. If your looking for a knowledgeable sales guy see Paul.

    Just purchased Honda Accord on Saturday and wanted to share my positive experience. This is the third car we have purchased from this dealership, and in each case, we came away very satisfied. My particular salesman was Robert L., and I must say that he worked with me very well to get me a great car at a very fair price. No hard sell, no intimidation, knowledgeable and pleasant...and I must add very patient, as I was pretty adamant with what I did and did not want, and might even have been conceived as arrogant! LOL I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who asked me for a recommendation, and would tell them to see Robert for a fair deal!

    I just purchased a new crystal black 2013 Honda Odyssey from DCH Academy Honda. My sales person was Mr. Andy L. and it went really smoothly! We were trading in my fathers SUV for a mini van to accommodate a growing family and Andy was very accommodating. He helped to make sure the entire trade in and purchase process went incredibly smoothly. The day i went to go pick up the car (yesterday), he was actually helping another customer who was torn between what vehicle to purchase so i sat in an empty cubicle while waiting for Andy to finish up. The guy took longer than I expected and Andy actually offered me his lunch since the wait was carrying past lunch time. How much better can customer service get than that... This guy was great and I would highly recommend you reach out to Andy should you be looking to purchase a car from DCH Academy Honda. Thanks again!

    I have purchased a lot of new cars in my life but this purchase was by far the best I have had. My salesperson, Joe G was so nice, honest and I felt very comfortable with him. I never felt like I was being pressured or not getting a good deal. I gave him the price I thought was fair for the van and he worked with me and got me that price! I live over an hour away but it was worth the trip. DCH has a fantastic reputation as I bought an Acura in 07 at DCH Monclair Acura and knew about the exceptional sales and service they provide. I would recommend DCH Honda to everyone I know. Thank you for a great buying experience. I look forward to future purchases. And thank you Joe G for being an awesome salesperson!

    Very satisfied with my purchase of the Pilot Touring White pearl with Erich T. as salesman. He's been instrumental with my decision to come back and buy again in this dealership. He worked really very hard to get my vehicle to the point he drove 140 miles with hours of traffic to another dealership in Long Island just to get my car I wanted since the model and color I liked is out of stock especially this time of season and clearance. No pressure buying and no gimmicks. Just straight forward honest deal. In fact they beat my personal price quote. Got an excellent deal and superb experience overall DCH honda academy.

    I was planning on getting the new Civic '13 close to its release and was thinking about trading my old '09 civic at the same place I bought it. But after thinking of DCH's convenient location, I decided to give them a call. They immediately were able to undertand what I wanted and needed. They made me feel comfortable with doing business with them. When I got there, the process went smooth. The salesperson worked with all of my needs and he was able to get me into exact Civic I wanted at the price I could pay! The entire staff were knowledgeable and friendly! I was impressed with the dealership thoroughly. I'm always a bit apprehensive of dealerships but DCH eased that enormously! Thanks DCH! Please keep it up!!

    Joe K. at DCH Honda was awesome. He was not pushy and was upfront about what he could do on the pricing of a Civic. His pleasant personality made me feel like there was no need to play games. I told him what I could afford and he said "Let me see what I can do". He came back in a few minutes and the deal was done! Compared to another local dealer where the manager said "I might be able to do something but I'm not sure". DCH saved me over $1000 and without having to haggle. Joe was also great at presenting the car on delivery. Truly an easy and enjoyable experience...the way car buying should be.

    bought an "alleged" pre certified 2011 Pilot from this dealership. Upon leaving and entering the Parkway the vehicle started shaking violently at speeds over 60MPH. Also, brakes did the same when braking at speeds over 40MPH. Returned to dealer at once and all tires had to be rotated and both front rotors had to be replaced. Quite obvious this was never checked but offered for sale as pre-cretified. Shady business practices to say the least. Salesman could have cared less and texted me a service number to call. Despite my request no contact from anyone in management on this matter. Never again with these people.

    Bought a pre-owned Honda Accord for our teenage daughter. Good car, fair price, no pressure. Best car buying experience I have had in years. Gerry B. was patient and pleasant. DCH Academy Honda and Gerry have earned my recommendation and future business!
