by Toddaj on 09/23/2014Art was very knowledgeable and easy to work with! I would recommend him to anyone. Went over and above to make sure my truck was immaculate.Good work, but really expensive!!
by mmmfamily on 09/18/2014Everyone was very friendly, professional and courteous. The only problem i encountered was the cost of the the repairs. WOW! $950.00 to replace two sensors and a couple of clamps!! Really??? Then you wanted $150.00 to replace 5 light… bulbs!! How much do light bulbs really cost? Thanks for the cookies, but after spending that much money, a complimentary car wash would have been nice. Just saying. I maybe going to Heidebrecht Chevrolet for future repairs. They surely can't be more expensive.Great Dealership
by DoroW on 09/16/2014When we initially scheduled service for 3 recall issues, we were told it could take up to 3 days for everyhing to be fixed. Serra had a new Buick LaCrosse available for me to use for the duration. Great car -- almost as good as my Enclave!… Repairs were made in a day and a half. Super. Just prior to taking my car in, we noticed a big paint chip on the front bumper. We could neither see nor feel a ding or dent to give us any indication of what had caused the chip. We pointed this out and asked that it be looked at & be advised of any repair costs we might incur. When Eric called to tell us our recall issues were resolved, he asked permission to take the car to the bump shop in Grand Blanc to fix the paint chip. Eric explained that, although they suspected the chip was caused by a highway stone, they wanted to fix it for us because the car had such low mileage and was obviously well-maintained. Although the car was gone longer than anticipated (I still had that nice LaCrosse to drive), my Enclave came back in perfect condition and with an almost-full tank of gas. In my opinion, Serra Buick always goes the extra mile (or several, in this case) to enusre customer satisfaction. I will continue to keep Serra Buick as my dealership and to recommend it to family and friends. Serra Buick, you've got a customer for life!Service/Marlene
by Geema on 09/09/2014Serra has always done an outstanding job with service. Marlene and the rest of the service staff are always willing to lend a hand to help. I will always keep buying my vehicles from Serra because of the product and the service we receive… from Serra.2004 Impala Buying Experience.
by Deekah on 08/25/2014We drove into Serra Buick GMC Kia looking to buy a used Pontiac Vibe. We were promptly greeted by a young man named Nick, at the Kia dealership. We took the Vibe for a test drive and decided it was not the vehicle for us. Nick showed us… a 2004 Chevrolet Impala. We test drove it and loved the vehicle. After purchasing the vehicle, we drove it home, only to find out that there were some electrical issues. The sales manager Brian, was called and he sent a driver to pick up the Imapal and fixed part of the problem. We had a starting issue, and the dealer was unable to replicate the second part of the problem. The vehicle was returned to us, with instructions to notify them if there were any more issues with the starting. We were very concerned as we felt like we might have been ripped off. But after talking with the sales manager, he assured us that that is not how they run their business. He instructed us if there were any more problems, to bring the Impala back, and that he would try to find another vehicle or refund our money. They followed through by refunding our money, as they did not have a vehicle in the price range that we were looking for. They met every one of our concerns and needs. We are disappointed that the vehicle had problems, and that we weren't able to purchase a vehicle from this fine dealership. I strongly recommend to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle to think of the Al Serra GMC Cadillac Kia family. Sincerely, Richard and Dani Grand Blanc, MIService

by Carsonk on 06/30/2014I had a great experience at Serra Buick GMC Cadillac. Mike D worked hard to get the Buick Encore in the color I wanted. He took the time to go over all the features of the vehicle with me. I would highly recommend Serra.Leasing experience
by LeslieAlderman on 06/18/2014I had a wonderful experience at Serra Cadillac. Everyone was very pleasant, and professional. I would like to express much gratitude towards my salesperson Casey C. He was kind, professional, and efficient. I am very happy with my purchase,… and will be referring customers to your dealership, and to Casey in particular.Watch out for double-talk and superhero attitudes!
by lou48314 on 08/27/2007I had a salesman that moved from Noonan Pontiac/GMC in Sterling Heights to Serra in Washington Twp. To give everyone a little history; I trusted this salesman greatly. I had bought my 2004 Pontiac Vibe from him back n Oct. 2003. He was… great; at least that is what he appeared to be on the outside. My Pontiac deal was a simple one. He did tell me that my credit was "borderline" to get the Pontiac at the 0% for 5 years but he got in touch with GMAC and got me the 0%, (which I have found out was an outright lie). He did do me right with getting me all of the rebates, cash back and GM employee pricing that I had coming. I gave my old salesman a call back a few weeks ago when GM started offering the big rebates and 0% financing on the Sierra and Silverado '07 pickups. I told him what I wanted to look at and he had one sitting right out front when I pulled up. The one thing I did not like about it was that it had manual windows. He hemmed and hawed over it when I told him that I would like a Sierra 1500 Ext. Cab with the SLE1 package. This would give me what I wanted in the truck. I had a trade-in that he told me the used car manager was only willing to give me $3,000 for and that he felt that was too low. He claimed that he would try to get me $4,000 for it, which is way too low still. He then sat down with me and went to see that used car manager. He came back and said that he got him to agree to $4,000, (a complete freaking lie). He claimed that my credit was too bad to get the 0% financing but that he would try to get it approved at the 0%. This sort of reminded me of the last time I bought a car from him. I then told him the deal would go south if I did not get the 0%. In less than 24 hours I went from a 10.8% rate to 0% but I would have to buy Gap Insurance. I told him no. He then came back and said that I would not need the Gap Insurance but I could not buy anything more than his "souped up" WT truck. and I would have to slap down $2,000 plus my trade. I told him that I would rather have an SLE1 package and I had found several on the GM Family First website at other dealerships. I asked him if he could work a dealer swap for it. He hemmed and hawed and finally came up with one that he had in his stock. By this time I had gone to another dealership, got approved immediately at the 0% and even got a truck with more stuff on it. This blew his "your credit is crap" line out of the water! I took delivery of the truck, on my driveway. I have not bothered to call him back. I was going to drive the new truck up there and show him what I got and tell him he was lying and I knew it. I decided he is not even worth it. He actually ran this same scam on me when he was at Noonan but I did not check him. I trusted he was telling me the truth. He did not rip me off on the Vibe but then again, he had over 150 Vibes in stock at that time. It was not hard to find what I wanted and it was far less money than what a full-sized pickup costs. He would lie to me and tell me something was more money or there was something wrong with the financing and then he would "miraculously" come through for me. This is the "superhero" mentality that made him look like he was working for me and not the dealership. The truck I did buy came through an auto broker. Too bad we cannot review them here. She was great. She found me 15 trucks in the Metro-Detroit area that matched what I wanted. She handled everything! She even told me that my credit, although not perfect, was more than good enough to get the financing that I wanted. All I can say is AVOID SERRA GMC in Washington Twp., MI!I am the fellow that made the comments on our buying experience at Jim Rhiel's Friendly Buick-Honda on Hall Road in Clinton Township, MI! To summarize again what I said on the Friendly Buick review, admittedly, we drive back and forth along Van Dyke highway many times a week so we could not help but notice the Serra auto compelx! Ok, at the time in question, 2 years ago roughly, we had two Buicks, both LeSabres! I gave one of them to our nephew as he needed a car pronto! Ok, wife and I took out our trusty Money Market checkbook and headed up to Serra; convenient I figured! After I scoped out a totally loaded Buick LaCrosse CXL in their lot I figured we'd head into the dealership and give the deal to a woman that worked there! Alas! As we got around 20 or so feet from the front door our path was intentionally blocked by this HUGE and obstreperous excuse for a car salesman! The guy would not let me/us walk into the store! He actually put his big ugly face right into my face, maybe 3 inches apart and then he started to work me over! It was even worse than I have experienced at the Toyota dealerships over the years when I was attempting to find buy a Camry and not have to be worked over by a sales hack! Anyhow, this Serra experience was unbelievabe. I would assume that they have cleaned up their acts by now (we went there in summer of 2006 and it is now may of 2008!), BUT for me, for us, we would never deal with these people; never! This salesman might be out of sync with the store's policies, but I doubt it! Stay away from this place! Need a Buick? Friendly and Vyletel (spelling?) and Tamaroff and all great stores, but for us, Friendly Buick is at this stage of our lives the only car dealership we will deal with. Fair prices, good people
by kat84 on 02/26/2013updated 06/11/2025Bought a used Malibu from Vito at a good price. Was a good experience, quick and professional. The service department also on a follow-up visit took me in and done. The car is certified so if need be I'll be back.Fast and accurate service
by atguilmette on 05/13/2014updated 06/11/2025I've had my car into service a few times during my ownership experience, and Eric has taken care of me each time. The availability of loaner for Cadillac owners is definitely a bonus, since you don't have to pay extra to get a rental or… worry about lining something up. The service has always been prompt, as a added benefit, they have always given my car a thorough look and replaced things that they think could become problems under warranty. I will never go anywhere else for service.New Sales Experience
by 1podcustomer on 06/27/2013updated 06/11/2025Our experience was better than we hoped for. After almost purchasing a vehicle from another dealer (there were some major imperfections), we traveled up the road to Serra. Thankfully they were open as it was Saturday. We were greeted by… Casey (can't remember his last name-sorry), he promply showed us an almost identical vehicle to the one we were going to purchase form the other dealer. Next thing you know, we agreed to purchase. Told them that we were already approved however I would let the Business manager see if he could match or beat our rate. Low and behold, Jim beat the rate by 1/2 of a percent. Go Jim! So everything went smooth with the closing, and Monday evening we drove home with our brand new GMC 1500 Sierra. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant, informative and had a great positive attitude. Thank you Casey, Jim and the Serra Team. Hoping that if we are ever in need of service, we will have the same great experience with the service department. Keep your fingers crossed!Highly Recommend Serra Service Department
by Jordonr on 11/13/2013updated 06/11/2025The Serra service people were extremely helpful; I highly recommend their service department to everyone I speak with! Unfortunately, this was my third GMC dealership visit for warranty brake work on my new 2013 Sierra truck; brakes… vibrate and pulsating upon application at highway speeds. My first two warranty service visits were to another area GMC dealership - they did not solve my problem AND gave me poor service to boot. Although Serra service rep was very honest and helped me every way he possibly could, I still have a complaint about my brake warranty work. Unfortunately my complaint is how GMC warranty work is conducted on my brakes and nothing to do with the Serra dealerships service department. When I do finally get my complaint taken care of with GMC, and believe me I am going to fight this as far as I can, I will be sure to request to have the Serra service department complete the final repairs, they were that honest and helpful!Excellent Service Department
by Chips76 on 12/29/2013updated 06/11/2025Serra has a terrific service department. They are professional, polite and very clear with pricing and policies. I would highly recommend this dealership and its service department, especially if you are female. They will not talk down to… you or treat you like the Village Idiot when you bring your vehicle in!!
