New Car Sales Review
by soldmeacar on 11/12/2014Jon King was very responsive and cooperatively without a lot of extra sales talk!!! As a former corporate executive, I especially appreciated Jon"s approach. In addition, David spent extra time explaining the auto to my wife and that was… invaluable.Jena is "Your Honda Girl"
by HappyandFIT on 09/24/2014September 19, 2014 we purchased a 2015 Honda FIT. Our experience with Jena B. was 100% positive. We initially spoke on the phone because this dealer is 40 miles from our home. Jena gave us an excellent price worth driving the distance.… It took us less than 3 hours to complete everything. The experience was not complicated and no pressure. Jena is "Your Honda Girl". Please call her for your next Honda purchase. You will love her professionalism and the spirit in which she presence everything. AutoNation Honda Thornton Road is lucky to have Jena on their team. She is customer service oriented and just a wonderful person.worst service ever
by billvan1 on 09/14/2014When my daughter moved to Atlanta for school I needed to find a new Honda dealer for service. I called Autonation and told them we had an 06 Honda Civic and all service has been performed by Honda in Savannah. We made an appointment asking… for oil change, tire rotation, multipoint vehicle inspection, and driver side sun visor repaired and needed the car the next afternoon. We dropped the vehicle off the night before as we had the first appointment the next day. We called at 1:30 the next afternoon only to be told it would not be readyfor a few more hours. Really? That long for that little of work? We bitthe bullet and said ok, we'd beby later. I suspected they hadn't even started on it yet. When we arrived we found itvery difficult to get anyones attentions as they were all busy on their cell phones and when approached became very irritated they were being bothered. After finally getting our service advisor we were shown to our vehicle. Not only had the tires not been rotated and the drivers side sunvisor not repair they actually broke the passenger side sunvisor. The service advisor acted shocked until we showed it to him. He then told us that well these things happen and if we wanted we could order new visors and they could install them the next time we came in. After arguing with him we asked to see the manager and were told they did't have one that all service was handled by the advisors. We were given a whopping $7.00 discount for our inconvience. As we had to leave to return to Savannah we paid our billed and left. We have no idea why anyone in their right mind would use this dealer for service or purchasing of a new vehicle as the service is what really counts. The attitude of all those we encountered at this dealership was absolutely disgusting. Hopefully this review will alert others to this potential issues they may have with this dealership. Runaway quicky.Excellent Experience!
by charityj30 on 09/11/2014I recently bought a 2015 Honda Pilot from this dealership and their sales rep, Rachi S. This was a great, honest and quick purchasing experience. I was thoroughly impressed with the salesman, his manager and the finance department. I… have always despised the car buying experience, but this dealership changed my mind.Sales Review
by denstall on 09/02/2014The Overall experience was great. The salesman Stiles was wonderful. Thank you so much for working with me when other dealerships would not. I will return.GREAT SERVICE
by Porkchop99 on 08/27/2014Jena B., Sales Manager and Brittany M., Sales Consultant was instrumental in my decision to buy a CR-Z from their dealership. I have only 159 miles on my little "Hambone" so far. Previously I owned a Honda for 19 years and it provided great… service and value.Above Average!
by bugkiller4 on 08/26/2014Very helpful to me. Found a car I liked but had less than stellar credit. Mr. S. and Mario made it happen for me!We are glad you chose our dealership! If there is anything else we can do for you, please give us a call. Safe (and fun) driving!
Best auto sales experience ever
by gharat on 08/06/2014I will turn age 59 this August 2014 and have bought a number of cars over the years. I can categorically state that by a distinct margin, my purchase of a 2014 Honda Accord Sport at AutoNation Honda on Thornton Road in Lithia Springs,… Georgia was the best auto purchase experience I have ever had. I had visited several other dealerships. But the AutoNation sales associate Marion Y. followed up when we first inquired about the vehicle and his sales manager Dominique H. also followed up to express his desire for my wife and I to purchase the vehicle. They offered the lowest price of all the Honda dealers in Atlanta and upon making the purchase, Y. took us through every detail of operating the vehicle and offered to set all the electronics to our preferences. A couple days after the sale, Y. reached out by email to inquire if we were still excited about the purchase and later that day, again we got a call from his sales manager H. with the same inquiry. Outstanding. Nothing like it elsewhere and the car's performance is excellent and at 6 feet 4 inches, I find it offers the greatest leg and head room of the vehicles in its class. by suemar1 on 07/01/2014Great experience, great salesman, fast easy buying.Let me pay security deposit for a vehicle they DIDN'T have
by wdland3 on 10/18/2010I Worked with Tina at Team Honda. She got me a great deal on a 2011 Odyssey. I was so pleased with the deal that I agreed to her request to provide a credit card to make a $500 security deposit...you know, so they would hold it for me. Out… of courtesy, I called the salesman from another dealer I had been working with to inform him that I would be buying from Team Honda. He warned me that Team Honda was known to be shady and that the deal sounded too good to be true. I called Team Honda out of concern and asked to speak to a sales manager. I asked the sales manager to confirm that the vehicle I was coming to purchase later that day was in fact in their possession. He, along with another sales manager in the background, confirmed that they had the vehicle. I even made him confirm the color, options, etc. to be sure it was the one I had paid the $500 deposit on. All checked out and I was very excited about picking up the new vehicle for my pregnant wife later that day. We even made a date out of it. Left work a little early, got a babysitter, grabbed a quick bite, and then headed to Team Honda. Let the fun begin. Tina acts surprised that we have arrived, despite scheduling this meeting around her jury duty, and states that "they" told her we weren't coming. Strange considering I had been texting back and forth with Tina for the last 1.5 hrs about our arrival. We are then informed that they don't have the vehicle. "Oh great" I think to myself...they must have sold it to someone willing to pay more. Nope, turns out it was never in their possession. Apparently they were getting the vehicle from the other dealer I had been working with; however, after learning that I was taking my business to Team Honda the other dealer decided not to let Team Honda sell the car. Not sure how this happened since I was told 4 hours earlier that the vehicle was in Team Honda's possession. Strange. I promptly call the other dealer only to be informed that they don't have the car in question. In fact, their system shows that the next available vehicle that matches our request isn't scheduled to be built for 3 more weeks. I relay this info to the Team Honda sales management team, who are now ALL focused on me (perhaps b/c I have all but lost my mind in their showroom). Their response is that the other dealer is lying and that the car is sitting on the other dealer's lot. Ok, enough with the BS. I ask the Team Honda sales management team to provide me with the VIN for the vehicle they let me pay a security deposit for (they never actually ran the card but that is irrelevant...they took my credit card). They all begin to shuffle their papers, mumble gibberish, and one guy finally tells me they only provide the last 5 digits of the VIN. Uhhh, I'm not an idiot. I can go to any dealer website right now and get the VIN for every vehicle they are selling. Team Honda took my credit card information, ran a credit report, secured financing, and let me and my wife drive 1 hour (one-way) to purchase a car that didn't even exist. I just wish I knew why. Team Honda is crooked, conniving, and deceitful. Do not do business with them.Dave Katarski, the GM at Team Honda, reached out to me directly and I am pleased to report that this issue has been resolved. We ended up with a great deal and are very happy with our 2011 Honda Odyssey. Dave did a great job and actually made the car buying experience enjoyable. Go Team Honda for making things right! Note: I have submitted a request to Edmunds to delete the original review. Once complete I will post a positive review for Team Honda.
horrible
by finley583 on 10/18/2010My experience was like something out of the 1970's. I was told a black v-6 accord was in stock and they would sell it for a specific price. When I arrived from a great distance away I was informed that the car was never there. I felt sorry… for the salesperson because he said his manager instructed him to fib over the phone to get me in. When I entertained another color the price went up $1050. I will NEVER return.Sastisfied Customer
by bamashepard on 10/21/2008I purchased an Accord and Ridgeline from this dealership. The experience was great, no long waiting at the dealership all day and everything was straight and to the point. They don't have the BIG $1200+ appearance package like most of the… other dealers. The GM was very friendly, courteous and had a good attitude. I would definately purchase another Honda from this dealership.Great Atmosphere, Great People
by absconfused on 07/25/2007I test drove a Fit at Team Honda Lithia Springs. The salesperson was very easygoing and he pointed out the features of the car. He was nice considering I was kind of grumpy at the time b/c the interior was very different from what I was… used to, as was the actual drive and so I was sort of complaining. At any rate, he stayed professional and did not apply any pressure when I left to try out other vehicles like the Versa etc. The salesperson gave me a follow up call in one or two weeks as I told him I was just looking around and making my assessments. When he called I told him I thought I was going to wait for the 08's to come in so he stopped contacting me, which was nice...except I decided to buy sooner so I contacted him :) It had been a while since I had been at the dealership and I contacted the internet manager to try and firm up a price for the Fit since I wanted a hassle free experience. He set me up with a price which included a modest discount off the MSRP since I promised to come that day and make the purchase. When I got to the dealership, I was very happy to see my saleperson who was expecting me, as the internet manager told him I was coming and they had on record that I had been there as his customer. We picked out a color and went for another test drive and then he got the numbers which were off by about 8.00 from what I was offered on the phone but b/c it was a small amount, I simply let it go. The tax was higher than I expected b/c they also tax doc fees, which I DID NOT expect:( Anyway, on the phone I told the internet manager how I was planning on paying and this did not include any Honda financing since they were not running a special. He assured me the deal would remain the same regardless of how I paid. This worked out and I used a credit card for a portion of the down payment to earn a valuable reward for myself. The finance person was very friendly and professional. He knew based on my conversation before I walked in, that I would not be purchasing any of the add ons that they present in the finance room so he was very brief about it, just to get his job done but not to sell me anything. I sold my car privately on cars. com so I did not bring a trade. Don't sell your car before your buy a car b/c if you do you have to cancel your insurance and then you go in with no insurance and you have to buy it while you are there....or just be sure to order a policy ahead of time if you know you are buying a car. The manager of the dealership is friendly and professional as are all the people I came into contact with. I am not very familiar with other Honda dealers in Atlanta so I cannot really compare this dealership to any others. I liked my salesperson very much and so when it came time to buy, I made the purchase from him, not from some other dealer who might have given me a slightly better price. The bottom line is I actually enjoyed buying my car and that is worth something to me. I don't think this Honda dealership has the problem of acting indifferent towards the customers like I have read in other reviews from other places...they are worth a look. I am sure everybody will have a different experience in the same place based on who they work with. They say Sundays are mellow. I went on a Sun and really found it relaxing....I am sorry and I do not know what I was thinking but the service dept is attached to the sales dept. I know it sounds strange to make such an odd comment, I do not know what I was thinking when I wrote that....I cannot think of any cons... thanks

by Coupebaby on 06/08/2014updated 07/29/2025This is my second Honda and every single time I've had an issue with my car this dealership has resolved the issue with great customer service, in a timely manner, and at a reasonable cost, if it wasn't covered under warranty; not that I've… had many issues...it's a Honda!!!Internet quote? Good luck
by cof on 11/14/2013updated 07/29/2025Last month I requested a quote using edmunds.com. I was expecting an 'out the door' price. Instead I'm peppered with appointment requests and phone calls. This is still going on a month later. If I wanted to go into a dealership and listen… to their tripe I would. We are sorry for your negative experience at AutoNation Honda Thornton Road. We apologize for the unwanted contact and wish to fix this immediately. Please call our General Manager at (866) 845-1775 to facilitate the cancellation of appointment requests and phone calls. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

by hondalover28 on 05/30/2013updated 07/29/2025I ONLY GIVE THEM 1 STAR BECAUSE I CANT GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR. We purchased 2 vehicles at the same time. Both were sold to us as "certified." Come to find out after our 60 day warranty that a truck we purchased was NOT certified and was… actually a consignment to the store. We find this out when we went to have our IOU serviced (what they said was wrong with the car when we purchased it) and they said that they couldn't fix a latch on the door because they don't fix those. Which is BS because we purchased the door part from another dealership in the area for $4. There are several SERIOUS problems with the vehicle and now they wont return our calls or emails. We should have listened to the reviews on here about horrible service and problems. I had my heart set on a certain used vehicle that they had. Shame on me. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!stay away
by elsamaresma on 08/05/2013updated 07/29/2025if i could give no star i would they are the worst company to buy from at least from this location i bought a car from them that had about 5000 miles on it farely new the next day of me having it it completley turned off and did not turn on… at all had to get a truck to come pick it up and take it to the nissan to get fixed mind you this is the sec day of having the car not only did i call to speak to the gm 4 times he never answerd my call till after about 2 and half weeks his "excues" was that he was on vacay but i had called way before he even went on vacation anywot only did i have to go numuros times to see what was going on with the car my husband wasnt even able to go to work for 5 days bc of this so we lost 5 days of work gas money to go eachtime to the location but then they lose our extra key and said that that was not there fault and that we wopuld have to buy another and that they wouldnt even give us gas for the gas waisted going all the way to there location numeros times worst place do not reccomend!!!STAY AWAY!!!Great Experience!!
by CalhounCrew on 12/04/2013updated 07/29/2025We went in to Team Honda with a trade-in, they were very willing to work with us on that as well as our budget considerations. Brandye and the team were great, made us feel at ease with the process and we would definitely return for our… next car purchase!!Internet sales..Yeah right
by den2112 on 11/22/2012updated 07/29/2025I visited dealership yesterday. I had set a time with 'Steve"salesman. I was ambushed at the door by another salesguy. He said Steve was unavailable, but he could get the figures. He proceeded to ignore the "Out the Door" quote that Steve… had provided me with. He then tacked on cleaning charges, etc. By now, I was really annoyed. I was trading a 2009 Civic. I used Edmunds as a reference. They said no one uses Edmunds. They proceeded to low ball my trade. I said enough and left. I have bought three cars via the internet from them. No more.Easy and Quick

by crosstour2013 on 09/25/2013updated 07/29/2025I went to AutoNation Honda after a horrible experience at Nalley Honda in Union City and was treated with royalty. From my initial phone call until I left the dealership, my car buying experience was awesome. Jena was the greatest, the… general manager, the finance manager, and the other team players of AutoNation really are an example of an organization with great leadership. I went in looking for a Honda Accord and I came out with a 2013 Honda Crosstour L. This was truly a remarkable experience of the grace of God. AutoNation, I love you all
