  • Ghosted Instead of Negotiated—A Disappointing Experience

    I reached out to Mercedes-Benz of Delray regarding a BMW M850i, and at first, my experience was promising. Joe Giordano responded promptly and answered all of my questions thoroughly, which I appreciated. However, when I sent him my proposed offer, instead of professionally accepting or declining it, he simply stopped responding altogether. This sudden lack of communication significantly altered my impression of the dealership. A professional approach—whether accepting or countering an offer—is the bare minimum in customer service, especially when dealing with high-value purchases. Unfortunately, this interaction suggested their sales team doesn’t prioritize customer experience, leaving me disappointed. Based on this, I would be hesitant to do business with them and would advise others to approach with caution.

    Ive bought many cars Mercedes of Delray Beach made purchasing a car easy and simple. They are not pushy and don’t force you to purchase extras like they do at other dealerships. My salesman Benjamin S is a great guy to work with he knows the product very well. We custom built my car and he guided me through the process and did not push all the extras. I just recently received my 6th car from them.

  • Car not properly inspected by dealer

    Overall, when buying cars at Mercedes Benz Delray (my husband bought a Range Rover & I a BMW X5) service was quite good (Evelin & Alan) However, after a day of me driving my car, I found out windshield wipers were not working (under rain, had to stop for an hour.) We contacted Alan (car seller) and he told us to take it to any BMW dealer because my car is under warranty. I took it and had to pay out of pocket because the wipers were not BMW original.. They had been replaced wrongly. Call dealership back talked to Alan who was supposed to call me back and never did.Now they don’t wanna admit their responsibility of not checking car properly before selling it.

    I have always hated going into a dealership to buy a car. So much so, that I would send my husband to scope it out, let me know my options then have me come in to sign. Seriously. But somehow this time he managed to get me to come with him. It was so remarkably different than any other time. They were tentative, did not waste time, tried to make us comfortable, no [non-permissible content removed], said it as it was, and we had a deal!

  • STAY AWAY!

    I bought a car from this dealership on September 5th and I COULD NOT BE MORE SORRY. What a huge mistake! They overcharged me at closing by almost $1,400. I only found out about this mistake (or was it intentional?) because they sent me a check 7 weeks later. I really could have used that money during all of that time because I had NO WORKING CAR. The car they sold me broke down on day 5 of my ownership and I have NOT seen it since! I could have used that money to pay for the 2 tow trucks I had to hire, or for a rental car that I need but cannot afford. Nearly 2 months after the breakdown, I still don’t know what is wrong with the car or when they might even be able to tell me what is wrong. The dealership doing the repairs needs a part before they can do the diagnostics, and that part did not arrive when it was supposed to about three weeks ago. There is no new ETA for the part. As a result, I have no idea when or if the car will be drivable again! Yes, the repairs are supposed to be covered by the warranty included at purchase. Yes, this abysmal dealership finally reimbursed me for the $200 deductible I will have to pay if the repair is ever completed. But that payment only happened after about six weeks of ignored emails and unreturned phone calls, pleading for help. Mr. Joseph Taylor was particularly skilled in the art of making excuses, often blaming his own lack of action on a manager being out of the office time and time again. It was absolutely infuriating how naturally this dealership decided that it would try to ignore me. They made zero effort to stand behind the sale they just made to me. It sure feels like the minute I drove off their lot, they felt they were done with me forever. They could have helped in many ways, but they did not. They have treated me to some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, and I see no signs that they care at all about it my impression. And remember, the decision to ignore me came AFTER overcharging me at closing. My advice is STAY AWAY from this dealership no matter what! They will overcharge you for a car that breaks down after only 5 days, and then ignore your pleas for help. That’s exactly what they did to me. And I’m quite confident that I am NOT their only dissatisfied customer. DON’T LET YOURSELF BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM.

    After visiting many dealerships including Tesla, BMW and Lucid, I decided to purchase my car from Mercedes Benz of Delray Beach. The sales person Chuck was excellent, he guided me through the car and his associate RJ took me on a test drive and explained all the nuances of the car. The sales manager Joe Cardella went above and beyond to insure that I had a fantastic buying experience. I recommend this dealership highly to all potential Mercedes customers.

    We came to buy a car to this dealer, we were surrounded by two managers and in one mouth said what they are honest and decent, that the car should be bought only from them, that no one will cheat you and appreciate you as a buyer, in fact everything is quite the opposite. We chose a car, liked it, applied for a loan, they in every possible way delayed the time waiting for the approval of the bank, then the seller said that they have a buyer for the car chosen by us and began to offer us another car much more expensive. But we want to buy exactly that car, which we liked, and not which we need to sell to the salon. We agreed that we will bring cash promised us that it can be done in an hour. After 15 minutes she calls us and says that the car has been sold. Three days later, the car is still on the dealer's sales site. And the price has decreased by 1 thousand. Apparently, there is an interest in lowering the price. After a call to the seller we learn that the car is still parked in the parking lot and they are waiting for money from the buyer. How so? After all, they did not want to wait for us one hour, and here three days? Apparently, this buyer has different blood and money. But we did not know that in this salon there are privileged buyers who are allowed to wait until the price of the car is lower and ordinary people like us. We do not recommend to deal with this salon if you are an ordinary person. Please do not put a boilerplate answer to call your manager and talk about this issue. I prefer to take my business to a dealership that prioritizes its clients from the outset rather than having to call your manager and listen to assurances about how much you care about your customers. It's essential to get it right from the start.

  • Terrible Customer Service

    First, we had a knowledgeable salesman who was eager to help us. Good job, Mike. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ends. We purchased our car with a nearly paid off trade-in (a few thousand dollars remained), the maximum amount the dealer would allow on AmEx (love those points), and a check for the remainder. I wanted to pay-off the trade-in using my credit union app, but the finance said that would delay the purchase. He couldn't have been more wrong. He charged my AmEx card (charge popped up on my phone), debited the remainder from my checking account (banking apps tell no lies), but did not pay off the trade-in. We should have walked away when he started with the high-pressure sales tactics. No we don’t paint protection, rim protection, or bad hair day protection. He got more rude as we said not to items we simply did not want and quite frankly nobody needs. Alas, we left with our car only to find out months later that Mercedes Benz of Delray never registered the car with the State of Florida, a service we paid them to perform. After numerous visits to the dealership, a manager finally “approved” re-registering the car. We also found out from my credit union that Mercedes Benz of Delray had not paid-off our trade-in. After even more trips to the dealership, they finally paid off the trade-in weeks after the purchase. Mercedes Benz of Delray is the kind of car dealer your parents warned you about. While I still think Mercedes Benz builds an incredible car, Mercedes Benz of Delray Beach falls far short of the service I expect from a Mercedes dealership.
