Heuberger Subaru
by Judy 123 on 04/06/2020This was my first Subaru and a first with Heuberger Subaru in Colorado Springs, CO. Not only do I love my new Impreza Sport, I found this dealership the best to work with. We were treated great, very professional. We got an extremely fair… deal. Couldn't ask for nicer people to work with in both sales and finance. This was by far the most pleasant and easy car buying experience of my life.Best car buying experience of my life
by OldColoradoGuy on 11/29/2019I've been buying cars for 40 years and I have to say that doing business with Heuberger has been the highlight of those 40 years of dealing with car dealerships. My salesperson was not pushy or skeevy and he answered all of my questions. I… was even able to leave without the typical last chance sales pitch. I came back in the next day and put money down on the Outback that I wanted. They were able to do the bulk of the paperwork without my having to be there so when I cam back in to finalize, my new Outback was cleaned up for me to see. All I had to do was sign a few documents, sit with their finance team to go over all of the legal paperwork and I was out within a couple of hours. I ended up getting a great deal on a warranty that covers me for 10 year. I also really enjoyed their coffee bar that offers free drinks. Overall the dealership was clean and organized. If I live long enough to buy another car, I will be going back to Heuberger. Thank you guys for the great workBest buying experience
by MeMarie1234 on 10/11/2018The car was ready when we arrived. We had polite salesmen and no rushing or pressure from them at all. The only draw back was a tiny bit of pressure during the finance part of the purchase. They believe in their windshield replacement… program. I don’t feel they quoted the aftermarket windshield costs correctly either. They sold us the vehicle cheaper than quoted and held to all agreements. It is just what I wanted without price haggling or managers pressuring, actually never met the manager.[non-permissible content removed]
by DaveGetzen on 12/08/2017[non-permissible content removed], DON'T EVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I flew in from North Carolina to purchase a Black 2014 Ram Ecodiesel. I asked if there was any damage. George stated there was none but then the day before I flew out I… find out that there was a bumper scuff, no big deal. On the day I landed in Denver he tells me that the mirror was broken. When I arrived I inspected the vehicle to find a dent in the hood along with a deep big scratch, the front bumper was hit and shifted to the passenger side, the passenger side front wheel well molding damaged, the front bumper had been repainted at some point, the back bumper had been hit and pushed up, the front passenger side headlight is scuffed and damaged and the front grill is damaged with a hole in it. When I asked what they were going to do to fix the problems that I was not told about before I flew out, took time off work and inconvenienced my family for, they said nothing. No fixing the issues no discounted price, they said they were already losing money at the price we arrived at. I call BS, they didn't care that the next day was Thanksgiving and that I flew all the way there on my dime and that getting back to my family was an almost impossible feat. This company and its employees are uncaring and heartless. DON'T BUY FROM THEM EVER, God only knows what is wrong with the truck mechanically. They say it's fine but they also said the body had no damage. Now in a response to my yelp review, they say that they will fix it and price the vehicle for more money, why wasn't this disclosed to me before and now why all the sudden are they fixing it. Don't ever buy from them.Worked with customer service manager and sales person
by scass91 on 08/09/2017Salesman took care of me and despite a miscommunication with the customer service manager all issues were taken care ofShady sales practices
by PhotoLaw on 01/12/2017I was convinced to lease a different car than I came in to see, because it had a great deal going. After talking to the sales person about that deal for a week I agreed to it. He ran my credit, resulting in a hit to my score, which was… expected, but then he called to tell me the deal I had agreed to hadn't been available for five days, and what was available was more expensive. Since then the sales manager and GM have given me different stories. One promises to give me a better deal on another car, though the original is not available, and the other rescinds that promise and then implies that there is no proof that I was offered anything. I have also been in contact with other Subaru dealerships in the state, and been informed that the GM gave us false information about other dealerships having different lease specials in the state. They also refuse to respond to emails, so there is zero electronic trail of any of their false promises. I have tried to work with them, but it seems that every time I speak with anyone there I am given a different story. It's worth your time to make the drive and speak to other dealerships.A sales manager has contacted me to rectify the situation. I am now satisfied with their honesty and transparency.
Worst Experience Ever
by Bmc2002 on 12/07/2016The GM was belittling and aggressive with me. Wouldn't give me my paperwork like I asked for 10 times. Continued to insinuate that I was lying when I mentioned I hadn't gotten all my paperwork. Was extremely rude and just overall my worst… experience EVER at a dealership. Also the Finance lady I dealt with was just as pushy and snarky with me as the GM. They actually told me they believe employees over customers. (When did this practice change from customers are always right?)Sloppy, deceptive practices
by phillips4 on 09/09/2016We had two issues with heuberger. First, the sales rep quoted us a trade-in value for our car that dropped by $1000 at closing. Second, Heuberger failed to complete paperwork for a promotion (two season ski passes to Copper Mountain). After… 9 months and extensive discussions with Heuberger personnel, they magically produced an email that they purportedly sent to us to motify us of the ski passes. While we had received numerous other emails from Heuberger, this last email was not among them. Draw your own conclusions. We will never buy from these folks again.$5,000 off for hail
by Bummed_out on 08/08/2016First of all we spent all day there to no avail. We were allowed to test drive a car on site, but all of the cars that they could sell me are at another lot and customers are not allowed to see them. I was told that they would sell me a car… "below invoice" and then subtract $5,000 for hail damage. I asked again to see the cars so that I could evaluate the hail, but we had to work a deal before we could see it. When we finally looked at pricing, they had added fees and low balled my trade so much that the actual discount for hail was about $500. When the car showed up, it was in horrible shape. I payed the extra $500 and got a new hail free car in Pueblo. I already knew the value of my trade and ultimately got its value in Pueblo, Heuberger insulted me with an offer that was $4,000 low.Minneapolis to Colorado Springs
by davidborn on 04/10/2016We flew one way. Heuberger sent a driver to Denver to get us...no charge. Worked flawlessly. At the dealer Jim Adams had our car out front waiting and spotless. I couldnt find this WRX w/STI package anywhere but the largest dealer in the… country, Heuberger. Also, their pricing was the best of any dealer. The pricing also worked flawlessly over e-mail, because they are very responsive. Super experience, great car to drive through the mountains. Only two tanks of gas between Denver and Mpls. Jim Adams will take care of you when you are ready. Not allowed to test drive a WRX!!!
by kareem2 on 01/27/2016My son currently drives a Camaro but bad choice in Colorado since he cant drive it every time it snows, so we were interested in trading it in for a WRX. So we went to the Subaru dealership and I still cannot believe this!!! We were told… that it is their policy no to let customers test drive their new OR USED WRXs. When I asked the sales man how do they expect customers to buy a car without test driving it? his response was, well they can drive a friend's!!! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard...a dealership will not let you test drive their own cars!!! and we are not talking about a 100K+ vehicle. I will never set foot at that dealership again. We're extremely disappointed to hear about this. Somehow the wrong message was passed to you when you were here. While it's true we do prohibit test drives on NEW WRX/STi cars, we certainly allow them on used. The concern for new is that the customers after this particular car are very particular about wanting as few miles on the car as possible when they buy it. This however, doesn't apply in the case of a used car. We would really like an opportunity to follow up with you to get a little more information so we can better educate whoever on our staff told you you couldn't test out a used WRX. Feel free to email alex@subaruofcolorado.com with your contact info so we can get in touch.
Too busy to know what's going on?
by JonathanZ on 01/15/2016This place just wants to brag about the volume of business they do. It shows when you end up dealing with them because you end up just getting lost in a sea of customers and transactions from the start. David Anthony, our salesperson took 2… weeks for our transaction to go through even when we came in pre-approved. Finance department will take forever to return any deposits put down. What a zoo!Great service from Jim Adams at Heuberger Subaru
by Charlie234 on 10/16/2015I don't have much to add to all the glowing reviews about Heuberger Subaru. We're from New Mexico, and the price at Heuberger -- with absolutely no dealing and haggling -- was much better than what we could get at home. We were in and… out of the dealership (including time to arrange for a loan) in only two hours. Our salesman was Jim Adams. Our experience with him was pleasant and business-like. No pressure, no hot air. Kudos to Jim -- any dealership would be glad to have him working on their behalf.Awesome, would recommend, even from other states
by yetirider1 on 09/02/2015Our local dealer was painful to work with. Wanted a particular model of Subaru and began shopping around online and widened search to Colorado Springs. E-mail and phone contact was quick, smooth and easy. Handled everything via e-mail,… phone and FedEx. Got exactly the car I wanted, model, color, options, etc. Flew out 2 weeks later, began the drive home the same day. Well worth the experience and slight hassle of out-of-state. I interacted with Jim Adams, David O'Berto, Jims manager when Jim was tied up, and Mark Way during the presales and pre-delivery stages. All excellent, professional, prompt and fun to work with. On the day I flew in, Eric Wass gave me an excellent and very complete introduction to the car. He was very personal, impressive and professional. They even picked me up. I've even received 2 follow-up customer service courtesy calls from them in the 10 days after I was there to make sure everything is going well. They know how to make the experience very positive. This dealership is simply impressive and I will recommend them to everyone.Excellent (mostly)
by iowasubie on 05/21/2015I traveled from Cedar Rapids Iowa to purchase my new Outback. My salesperson was Nikki and she was simply excellent. My only dig was that the finance person was to persistent IMO.great experience!
by Lambchop34 on 04/23/2015We had Kenzie for our salesman and he was great. He gave us the info we needed without being pushy or hovering over us. We had the freedom to walk around and look at everything. He was very kind to show me everything about my new car and… he was very knowledgeable about the product. The experience was very good.Square Deal
by anonomous505 on 01/25/2015We traveled from Albuquerque to purchase at Heuberger. Local (Garcia) dealerships overpriced the automobile 6% and 8.8% higher than the fair price calculation from Consumer Reports and TrueCar, even after negociation. Our salesman - Jim… Adams - provided a quotation within 0.1% of this price over the phone with no haggling. Transaction was pleasant, although a bit long (3 hours), and they were friendly to our puppy dogs. The only negative was a second salesperson's persistent attempt to sell us an extended warrantee we did not want. We are happy with the car so far, but in all fairness, who is unhappy with a new car with less than 500 miles? We would definitely purchase from Heuberger - and Jim - again.2015 subaru forester
by horsedude on 01/06/2015Purchased the Forester and was very glad at the professional treatment received by Jim Adams and Dawn (finance). A great experience and all went smoothly and very quick. Highly recommend this dealership.Great Experience!
by damicob on 12/23/2014We initially made contact online and Jim was quick to respond within 24 hours to my request. We knew we had a budget for the lease we wanted to stick to, and Jim was able to provide a lease quote via email where some other dealerships would… not tell us the information until we came in and test drove. Time was somewhat of the essence for us, so we were extremely pleased that Jim was able to provide this to us. There were a couple Forester trims that we were interested in, so we were able to drive those once we arrived. The whole experience was very thorough, including the finance portion in working with Dawn. We will definitely be returning to Heuberger and working with Jim when our lease is up!Dont bother with Trade in
by kelliew on 11/09/2014Heuberger offered us 8K on our trade in, we went across the street to Bob Penkhaus and sold our car to them for 10,400. Interesting fact is both dealers claim to participate in the Autotrader appraisal program, you get there from their… website. But the Heuberger Sales person and internet manager claimed that Heuberger does not participate in the Autotrader program. The finance guy, Vito, was very good and everyone there was very nice. The overall price of the vehicle was good, I guess they try to make up the margin from the low trade in value. Because we wouldnt' take the 8K trade in we ended up paying $700 more in taxes, for which the kindly took $200 off the price of the car. Thanks to Bob Penkhus we are still coming out ahead. If there was another Subaru dealer in Colorado Springs we probably would have gone there or maybe next time we might be buying from Bob Penkhus.Top Notch Dealership
by jag21979 on 09/28/2014This dealership is the most welcoming dealership I've ever been to. It's a no pressure environment, with very friendly staff. They offer no hassle pricing, and are fair when it comes to trade-ins. I've purchased 2 vehicles from… Heuberger, and would definitely purchase another.
Hello! Thank you very much for the awesome review. We appreciate the praise and we are glad to hear that our process made your experience an enjoyable one. Take care and enjoy the new Subaru! Best regards, Heuberger Subaru
