Not allowed to test drive a WRX!!!
Written by 01/27/2016
onMy son currently drives a Camaro but bad choice in Colorado since he cant drive it every time it snows, so we were interested in trading it in for a WRX. So we went to the Subaru dealership and I still cannot believe this!!! We were told that it is their policy no to let customers test drive their new OR USED WRXs. When I asked the sales man how do they expect customers to buy a car without test driving it? his response was, well they can drive a friend's!!! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard...a dealership will not let you test drive their own cars!!! and we are not talking about a 100K+ vehicle. I will never set foot at that dealership again.

Dealer Response
We're extremely disappointed to hear about this. Somehow the wrong message was passed to you when you were here. While it's true we do prohibit test drives on NEW WRX/STi cars, we certainly allow them on used. The concern for new is that the customers after this particular car are very particular about wanting as few miles on the car as possible when they buy it. This however, doesn't apply in the case of a used car. We would really like an opportunity to follow up with you to get a little more information so we can better educate whoever on our staff told you you couldn't test out a used WRX. Feel free to email alex@subaruofcolorado.com with your contact info so we can get in touch.
