    I did quite a bit of shopping before I stumbled on to Arapahoe Dodge. I'm an Internet buyer and don't really like sitting around the table negotiating for a vehicle. My sales guru, Neil, was very good at responding to my questions. We reached an agreement via email within 1 day and I went down there on Christmas Eve morning and bought my new Ram truck quad cab. It seems like quad cabs are hard to come by these days but sure enough, they had one just waiting for me. I was happy with the price and the negotiation process. Interesting as well, my new truck had a dead battery the day after Christmas, so Neil and a mechanic drove to my house and replaced the battery. That really is customer service. I highly recommend Neil and the good folks at Arapahoe. Lastly, they honored my military service by giving me the military discount on the truck and the accessories I needed.

  • Oil/Filter change and tire rotation, 6 Jan 2023

    The oil/filter change was good. While driving home the wheels were thumping and banging. When I got home, I saw that the majority of the wheel lugs were loose, some more than others. The right rear wheel lock nut was missing. I tightened them up as best I could, then I returned to Dodge. A mechanic used a large torque wrench to tighten up all the wheel lugs. They also replaced locking nuts. i was lucky a wheel did not fall off. I suggest the mechanics use some sort of job completion check off form to make sure al tasks were completed.

    I just bought my 3rd vehicle from Auto Nation in the last 8 years. My Sales Associate Andy Dang was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I own several businesses in the Denver Metro area and can spot a good person, so Auto Nation should be proud of such an employee as Andy.     I made an appointment that was easy to schedule and meet my timeline. I waited for the Service on my Truck and it was completed in a very timely manner.     This is an amendment to my review of this dealership written 8/9/20. Since a new engine would cost more than what we had just paid for the car, and repairing the engine could easily cost as much, after a couple of weeks and with few good options, we decided to put in a used, similar mileage engine. Thankfully, after posting a review, this issue did reach the attention of the General Sales Manager who contacted me. AutoNation Dodge Ram Arapahoe then took more earnest action. The dealership offered to buy back the car (again, for less than my son bought it for, but for a better, more reasonable price than earlier), or help pay for the repair. With the repair initiated by then, the latter was the only option. The dealership offered to pay for 35% of the repair cost. Was that the proper split? Use your judgement. Was half the cost fair? The full cost? None of the cost? I would posit that AutoNation Dodge Ram Arapahoe paid 35% more than a lot of dealers would have paid. So I would say in a very difficult circumstance, AutoNation Arapahoe Dodge Ram did indeed try to help. I think it was the right thing to do, I appreciate their efforts, and I give them credit for caring enough to do so.

    My 17 year old son saved enough money to purchase his first car, and I wanted very much that this responsible action would be rewarded by a positive result. Alas, that is not what happened. Obviously, at 17 years old, his budget was limited, and I encouraged him to consider a used vehicle. Regretfully, I also encouraged him to look at a dealership, because I felt there was much more risk buying from a private seller, because I believed a good dealer would stand behind their product and not send him out the door with a lemon. After checking out a few cars of interest in his price range, he decided he liked a Mitsubishi Lancer with 87K miles that he test drove at AutoNation Dodge Ram Arapahoe the best. So that is what he bought. 1 day shy of 2 months later (and after about 500 additional miles), it started billowing white smoke and leaking oil out the tailpipe. Being responsible, he immediately pulled off the road and had it towed to a service station, so as not to create a bigger problem. Unfortunately the problem was the engine itself, and there was no avoiding that it would need a new engine – very, very soon. Well, this was indeed a tough situation all around, but an opportunity for the dealership’s to stand behind their product. Unfortunately, they did not stand behind their product. Perhaps it is naïve to expect a dealership to display commitment to customers once they have made a sale and have their money. However, be advised that my experience suggests once AutoNation Dodge Ram Arapahoe has made its money, its concern for customers will not go far beyond words. To be fair, there are people at the dealership who seem to genuinely want to help, but without their leadership recognizing this situation as an opportunity to model “commitment to customers” then there is not much to it. True commitment to customers does take action and has a cost. I must note that after signing all of the paperwork, we noticed the only key we had in hand was a plain one, without the ability to activate the electronic doors, etc., and the sales team did go out of their way to deliver an electronic key fob that they had no obligation to provide at that point. That was action, and I want to note it for completeness. To me this suggests where in the ranks the commitment to customers exists. When I contacted the dealership about the engine problem, I received a typical response of, “I will talk to [so-and-so] and get back to you”, but that didn’t really happen. I contacted the dealership about 10 times, and only once did I get a call back. I did get an email to a link where I could get a “certified offer” to buy back the car, which I filled out. The “certified offer” I received was for less than half of what I bought the car for, but at least it was something, considering it would cost more to fix the engine than what my son bought the car for. However, after asking for a commitment to this “certified offer” before bringing the car in I did not receive it. I was given a much lower number – just above a ¼ of what I paid for the car 2 months earlier. So in summary, AutoNation Dodge Ram Arapahoe sold my 17 year old son a car with a defective engine, and I’m very disappointed that they are OK with that. Buyer beware.
  • Stop Driving My Car/Over Priced Oil Change

    We brought our Charger SRT8 in for a simple oil change, a vehicle recall and I also wanted to see if our car needed an alignment. Well incredibly, we where charged $167.95 for that oil change. My husband has performed oil changes on our vehicle for the last 3 years and has spent around $35. Granted, you can purchase synthetic oil, which he uses, and normally spends between $22 and $30, then another $5 to $15 for a filter. We were charged $114.45 for 7 quarts of oil at AutoNation Dodge Ram Arapahoe. First of all, this is an outrageous price for oil which should of had chunks of pure gold floating in the bottle. My husband has never used more than 5 to 5 1/2 quarts of oil in my vehicle, but according to the chart it recommends to pour 7 quarts of oil. My Charger will not hold 7 quarts, but I'm still charged no matter what is used. Also, we always record miles and gas levels before any dealership works on our vehicles due to problems in the past. Sadly to discover, that AutoNation Dodge Ram on Arapahoe Rd test drove our Charger SRT8 long enough to burn up 1/4 of a tank of gas. This joy drive, was lengthy enough for the employee to delete my saved radio stations, connect his phone via Bluetooth and program his most popular music stations. Needless to say, I was not thrilled reselecting my stations for an overcharged oil change. Still after all of this, they did not check the alignment which is most important with winter right around the corner. I'm sure AutoNation Dodge is waiting for us to schedule another appointment just to be over charged once again. This is why we've stopped going to the dealer for ANY services. I rather allow a neighborhood mechanic complete all repairs on our vehicles because Dodge Dealers can't be trusted. We will not use this dealership ever again. AutoNation Dodge Ram on Arapahoe Rd gets NO STARS, but since they will not allow us to post unless we give it one star we had to give one star
  • Bring Back Appointments for Oil Change

    This is an continued issue with Dodge - 2 hours for an oil change and will not allow appointments. I try several times and always the same, the service writer said this is a huge problem that is getting worse. I came back and still not done. While waiting the person before me got a free cleaning while I had to pay $29.95. This place continues to treat customers different. I have only 2 more free oil changes and luckily no more dealing with Dodge..

    My recent truck purchase experience was a 100% gratifying. I noticed that many of the other sales guys have plaques and awards all over their walls. Al Yadgar my salesman doesn't need a plaque. Because integrity can't be awarded. It is who he is. Al works with his costumers in a normal natural way without sale slogans and sale pitches. I find his approach refreshing and unchangeable. He has been my salesman for 16 years. I would not go to anybody else for my future truck or car purchases. When he retires, Auto Nation will be losing there best.

    First and last time that I take my truck to Auto Nation Arapahoe. Took my truck to the appointment at 7:15AM and handed my keys to "Beth", who appeared to be new at the job. Gave her specific instruction of what needed to be done; Oil change, both fuel filter changed and to clear all recalls it had pending and to have them check the brakes. She mentioned that as part of the 30K inspection, they would also do a tire rotation and balancing, which I told her NOT TO DO, as the tires were brand new. That same afternoon around 4:00PM, a different lady called to advise that they were still working on the truck and that they were working on the manifold! When I asked why the manifold, the lady wasn't sure what the issue was, but after some back and forth, she figured she was calling on the wrong truck, but at least was able to get the info on my truck, as Beth never bothered to call to give me the status on my truck. Next day, I called around 2:30PM, I called again to check on the status of my truck, as I had no info from Auto Nation, and I was told that they were still working on the truck. Around 3:30PM, I finally received a call letting me know that the truck was ready, and when I showed up to pick it up, I find out that I had been charged $139.99 for tire-rotation and balancing which I DID NOT ask for. They also claim to have changed the oil and oil filter, however, the computer was never changed or reset to reflect the oil change, something that you would expect the dealer to do after performing an oil change, so at this point I am not sure if they did actually change the oil and bill me for it or if the work was actually done and they just failed to do the computer reset. At the end of the day, I was billed $945.00 for the crappiest service that I have ever received in my life (I’m 54). Rest assured that I will never set foot on your facility for anything ever again!
