Great experience!
Excellent Experience in Every Way
by m13collins on 07/20/2015I sent an e-mail inquiry about the cost and availability of the 328i I wanted. Roger Carroll, head of internet sales, replied with a quote that was better than I expected to be able to negotiate. The next day, I went to Rusnak BMW, met… Roger Carroll, inspected the car, and accepted his offer. Mr. Carroll assisted me in applying for a new lease and in turning in my 2012 328i from the expiring lease. He suggested I could save money by having the Rusnak body shop repair some long scratches before turn-in of the old car, and I accepted that suggestion. Mr. Carroll and everyone else on the staff at Rusnak BMW were courteous, professional, and quick. This is the best new car experience I have ever had, and I have had a lot of them.Great Service!!!

Sales Experience Worthy of a BMW

Glenn the salesman was knowledgeable and low pressure. 5th vehicle from Rusnak. They treat you like a valued… customer instead of a mark.We love hearing from loyal customers like yourself. Happy to hear the entire team was able to be make your experience great. Come back and see us.
The Ultimate Buying Experience
by 1smartfellow on 08/25/2010My wife and I really enjoyed working with Rusnak BMW when leasing of our new 535i BMW. The individual that made our experience a rewarding and delightful one was Jeff Kaltman. Mr. Kaltman's level of professionalism, knowledge,… friendliness, and expertise is a unique feature of your company. We had dealt with other dealerships in Orange County (BMW & Mercedes) and left with no car and a feeling that no one really listened to what we needed. Jeff's immediate response to our e-mail inquiries, the completion of necessary paperwork, and the introduction to the many features of our vehicle is what sealed the deal for us. Jeff not only worked with us on his day off, but even stayed after hours to make sure that we had a very good working knowledge of the components of the car. We left on our 90 mile drive home filled with not only the excitement of having a safe as well as an awesome car for our family, but with the satisfaction of working with the kind of dealership that we would readily recommend to all. Once again, we thank you for assisting us with our new car. We will see you and Jeff in three years!Good Selection, Good Sales Manager, Average (Typical) Salesman
by davek888 on 05/21/2010Initially, I felt great about the salesperson for my Porsche. When I called, he vaguely answered some questions but provided his name and direct number. He immediately asked if I needed help when I stepped onto the lot and we were doing a… test drive within minutes - of course, they need to be doing test drives. Things got to be not-so-great during negotiations. He kept steering me toward other used models and never really mentioned the 'Cooling Off ' law - I guess a visible plaque is all you need to have. The persistency in selling me the car at that moment was annoying. Dealership did not help out at all with shuttle service. I returned because I had negotiated a great price and felt the sales manager was a little more honest than his salesman. Also, I cannot stand the salesforce at the Pasadena store and their Pasadena Jaguar locations. Talk about dishonesty.Dishonesty or poor management, not sure which
by carshopping8 on 02/16/2010Rusnak salesman offered a 2009 X5 at $10K below sticker. At a subsequent visit, I was told that the offer was actually not applicable to that model, but they would honor it since it was already offered. I confirmed this in a phone call… conversation a day later. Another day later, after paper work was initiated and 1 1/2 hours at dealership, I was told they would not honor that price. Not sure if they strung me along thinking that they could make up the difference in the trade in, financing, or think that I would settle for less, but I left in shock that they could actually do that and think it's okay. I don't appreciate the good cop/bad cop game they played and quite honestly turned me off to buying a BMW, period. If this were just a mistake, they could have told me during the second visit, and I would understand that this was a business decision. But my experience with this dealership is what gives car buying a bad name.Typical Retail Sales Shenanigans
by theomdude on 09/21/2009BMW offered a $2,000 capitalized cost reduction on 2009 328i Coupes for a very short time at the end of August 2009. It appeared in their lease offers on line for a few hours and then went away. My spreadsheets, based on the cost per… thousand on the listed lease deal, Kelley Blue Book, and my experience as a licensed Automotive Advocate said I could get a car for $343 a month, using the equity in my 2004 330Ci to lower the capitalized cost even more. Rusnak started out effectively accusing me of lying about being the original owner of my car. I'd already told them I had searched for it when they became available with the SMG, and had to fly to Phoenix to get the exact car I wanted, so it was registered twice, once in Arizona and once in California. Then they told me the car could not be certified because the entire right side had been repainted, and that meant the B-pillar might be damaged. Finally, they said the feature that led me to search so far for the car, the SMG, was unpopular in California, even though KBB values it the same as if it was a Tiptronic automatic. They offered me $11,000 for a car with a KBB "good" value of $15,350 and a Retail Blue Book of $22,140. The result was that their first offer was $119 a month over my spreadsheet offer, and I told them so. Disgusted, I left. That's a good tactic. They called minutes later offering me a deal within $10 of my offer. The lease agreement showed the trade-in still at $11,000, but somehow an extra $3,068.72 had mysteriously materialized on the capitalized cost reduction line, in addition to BMW's $2,000. At the dealer, and in followup phone calls (They took a beating in my Customer Satisfaction survey) they never explained where that money came from. No, it was not the equity in my trade. That was on another line. If it was a dealer contribution, you'd think they'd say so - loudly and proudly. It made the effective selling price of the car $5,969.33 back of invoice. Subtract what they didn't give me on my trade and it's still $1,589.33 below invoice. Three weeks later, my car - the one they said was "uncertifiable" - was listed on AutoTrader.com at their "Outlet" as Certified Used, for $21,988. In the photos you can see it had not been reconditioned. There is no doubt in my mind that a less knowledgeable and persistent buyer could have ended up with a lease payment $109 higher than I got. That's $3,924 over the term of the lease. What really frosts me was that the salesman wasn't really at fault, except in that he played along with the management's tactics. This was a corporate culture issue, not just one [violative content deleted] salesman. If you find that Rusnak is the only dealer in the basin with the exact car you want, I advise you to go to another dealer and ask them to dealer trade for the car. But make your deal first - and do your homework!Excellent Service!
by reviewer13 on 08/19/2009Based on the reviews I read on this site for this dealer, I called and was connected to one of the best service consultants I have ever worked with - Renee Norris. Not only was she courteous and professional, she actually took the time to… listen to my frustrating experiences with my past car dealer regarding service appointments and being charged unreasonable costs. Everything up to that point had been fine with that dealer until my initial warrantee expired. I was concerned that I would have the same experience by going to Rusnak, but Renee made it so easy for my first visit, my service charge was reasonable, their paperwork was thorough and streamlined, and she explained everything clearly - no surprises. Additionally, the Enterprise team on staff (including Adam) made the car rental processes a streamlined experience. Thanks Rusnak for turning a past negative into a positive!5th of july but felt like 4th
by bwwhite60 on 07/08/2009These guys were the best; they had a lot of cars and spent the time moving them about to get to the 3 we wanted to test drive we thought with the 4th weekend it would be the best time and it was I did not realize the difference on the… Navigation system being totally different on the 528i 2010 we wanted the 2009 but Mike Schleien took the extra hours to explain this made the biggest difference to my wife she uses it daily and needed the upgrade it would have been disappointing if we had taken the old one but Mike and Gary did it on the 5th and it felt like the 4th thanks guysmy best deal
by pgold on 05/28/2009My guy Mike Schleien was the best he worked with me for hours gave me the best deal he got for me from the General Manager Ken Christ , both were great they made me feel special with best service for my whole family Westlake Rusnak BMW WOW… the best I love my m3 blueAVOID RUSNAK FOR SERVICE!!!!!
by ceciliay on 11/10/2008AVOID servicing your car here. They will KISS your [violative content deleted] if you have a warranty to keep you coming back. After that...they are rude and will RIP you off. Bought a certified pre-owned BMW 3 years ago from them and… purchased extended warranty. Under warranty, had both seat mechanisms, all door locks, alternator, AC accuator (spelling?)fixed at less that 50000 miles (FYI: this is my first and last BMW). This summer took it in for a mini oil change one week before my warranty expired because an oil warning light was on and was told they would look for stuff wrong since I still had a warranty. It wasn't time for Inspection II yet (had a few hundred miles to go). Said everything looked great! No Problems! 2 months later took it in for Inspection II not worrying too much since they did a "visual" inspection at the mini oil change. Keep in mind this is a low mileage car (55,000). They found 3000 dollars worth of stuff wrong with the car (oil around here, this torn..etc...etc..) Stuff they should have "seen" at my mini oil change while under warranty! Two weeks later, after paying them thousands of dollars, the inspection light came on and they said I had to pay for the diagnostics test as it wasn't related to Inspection II. The guy I spoke with was super rude and defensive. He must be used to my kind of phone calls. My husband has a newer BMW with warranty and we will NEVER take it back to Rusnak! It's [violative content deleted] from now on. Also..if you are going to buy CPO BMW...look on the internet on used car websites. We did this with our 2nd BMW. All the dealers post their used cars. Make them negotiate. It works! DON'T buy from Rusnak though. We found them to be the highest priced and most unwilling to negotiate.Overall, very Good Service
by mtn723 on 04/07/2008I have owned two 3 series, and one 5 series, and had them all serviced at Rusnak. I have found that the entire experience is a function of the Service Writer, and having one mechanic work on my cars, and getting to know him as well. While… the dealership will always be more expensive, I have found overall, the dollars spent are worth it. Why? Once you have a good relationship with that Service Writer, and Mechanic, they will usually go out of their way to assist you, providing you are always reasonable. Over the past 15 years I have had one poor experience at Rusnak, however, that was the exception due to a poor Service Writer, and my current Service Writer Joe Teague, had been excellent. Since I purchased the car at Rusnak, with larger repair, he always provides a rental for me, repairs are done properly, and on time, and if not, I am notified well in advance, plus I have the loan car. Yes, they are quite pricey, but very convenient, and accomodating. MTN723Horrible Experience With Internet Sales Group
by wheat2 on 04/04/2008I will never go back... gave my business to another dealer. Not only were their Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles (at least the vehicles I saw) not up to par in terms of being clean on the inside, but the sales person was extremely rude.… Apparently they didn't have time to really help me, and I was treated as if I was imposing on their day(I'm sorry... I thought these people were there to help me find a car!). Well, one less sale for them... and I will be telling everyone who asks how bad they were. I've bought plenty of cars and have never been treated like this or had such a bad experience (and that's saying a lot, as I've run into some real characters).A car for my wife
by happycustomer on 02/25/2008In October last year, I began the search for a 2008 328i for my wife. It would be the replacement for a Volvo 850 with over 200,000 miles that we purchased about 12 years ago. I used the dealer locator service from Costco and a few others… from the Web, but only a salesperson from Rusnak BMW followed up after trying the www.edmunds.com site. The other contacts sort of faded and didn't follow up. The Internet sales manager, Neil Pearl, showed us their entire stock, located a couple miles away and even allowed us to peruse through the lot by ourselves. We didn't find exactly what we wanted, and ended up ordering the car directly from the factory. We negotiated a price on 12/31/2007 and received the car on 2/24/2008. The price we paid was right on the estimate. There were no gimmicks, no tricks and no last minute contract changes. He was kind enough to get my wife's phone paired with the on-board computer, and spent about one hour or so demonstrating all the features.Rude pre-owned salesman
by jay2payu on 07/22/2007Very, Very , Very rude salesman. I will purchase from somewhere else thanks for making me feel like dirt.2014 BMW Z4
by sb4 on 07/26/2013updated 06/04/2025My experience was excellent from start to finish. Everything was timely and open and honest. I enjoyed the experience very much. SB, Woodland Hills, CAHighly recommend Rusnak BMW!
by BHowes on 08/05/2013updated 06/04/2025I recently purchased a BMW Z4 from Ken C., GM Rusnak BMW in Thousand Oaks, CA. Although I live in San Francisco, I chose to purchase my car from Ken due to the outstanding selection and service provided by Ken and his team. I was treated… like a VIP from the moment I entered the showroom. In advance of the sale, Ken worked with me to identify the right car with the right options. The sales process was quick and easy and I was provided a full overview of all the features of this amazing car before I left the lot. I will return to buy cars from Ken in the future and encourage others to do the same! Amazing service, outstanding personalized care.Hi BHowes, thanks for giving our dealership a 5-star review. It's great to hear that our entire team was able to contribute to your positive car buying experience. We pride ourselves on customer service and on making our clientele feel at home while at the dealership. Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
5 STAR Staff
by Peter4law on 07/27/2013updated 06/04/2025This was our 11th new car purchase in the past 27 years at several brands. Never had a better experience. From start to finish Mehran F. made sure we are treated well. From choosing a car to negotiate pricing and completing Finance… paperwork, this was the smoothest car buying process ever. Thank you Mehran / Thank you RusnakI'll be back
by johnnyg9 on 07/26/2013updated 06/04/2025I flirted with Lexus and a couple of Benzs, but got back to my preferred set of wheels thanks to BMW. Rusnak represents BMW well with top products and top people. I'll be back again.A Very Positive Experience
by Ron001 on 07/27/2013updated 06/04/2025I recently leased a 328i from Rusnak BMW and found the entire experience to be very positive. I intend to return when considering my next vehicle purchase/lease and would recommend Rusnak without hesitation. i typically consult 3 dealers -… and in this case found Rusnak's pricing to be the most competetive. My wife and I had some difficulty deciding on exterior and interior colors - and found our salesperson, Vitaly S., to be very patient in showing us vehicles, searching other dealers for a vehicle to fit our needs, responding to many, many phone calls and emails, willing to come into the deslership on days off to help us, etc. He went far out of his way to help us find the right vehicle, while never making us feel pressured in any way. The price negotiation was more pleasant than I have experienced with other dealers. The final paperwork went very smoothly. Because the technology of this vehicle is more sophisticated than our prior vehicles, Vitaly has made himself available to help my wife understand and benefit from all that is available. The current management and sales team a Rusnak BMW treated us very well - and we love our new BMW! Thank you, Vitaly - and thank you, Rusnak!
Feedback is paramount in our industry, it helps us measure what kind of experience we provide. Thank you for taking a moment to share yours with us. We are grateful for the praise and the patronage.
