by CWinOC1 on 09/22/2023I made a morning appointment for what should be a new car warranty repair. I am the 2nd owner. First, I was told that the warranty does not transfer to a second owner and second, the repair I needed was considered cosmetic and wouldn't be… covered under a warranty anyway. For information, the problem was that the headlight interior was covered in water indicating that there's a leak around the seal. I doubt that the headlight filling up with water due to a seal problem is considered cosmetic and it's actually more of a safety defect. Luckily the service rep changed his tune after I pointed out on the Toyota website that the warranty is transferable and it is clearly written there. And also that that is not a cosmetic problem. Even though I made an appointment, I was still at the dealership for 3 hours. And to top it off they determined that the part would need to be replaced. That's fine except they said they had to order the part. It's not an unusual part. It's a headlight for a 2022 Tacoma. So now I have to return a second day to have that installed. The please is clean and the waiting are is good, although the could use more plugs.Hi, we are deeply disappointed by your experience at AutoNation Toyota Irvine. So, you can see that the dealership responded. I called the number, was transferred and then never reached an actual person and the call was cut off. Now there's more to the story. I never got a call the part was in. So I called and found that it was. I immediately brought the truck in. After another 3hrs, the service rep comes out to tell me that the headlight has aftermarket bulbs and a hole in the plastic housing and they can't replace it since it's not OEM. Now. I understand that. However, I opened the hood and the hole is pretty obvious. Tie that the mechanics supposedly working on it the day before and you'd think they tell me that first day what the situation is. So for 2 days of 3 hours each waiting on the service area, I came away with a 2 bags of cheese nips and 2 cups of coffee and a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think the dealership is genuinely interested in "making it right" considering I can't reach the GM.
Honest service at fair prices

They could have sold me a new 12V battery (I asked them to check it) and they said it was perfectly fine. 1st car service

No one was helpful ¬hing was explained other than it would take a few hours No idea what happened or what was done on the… car. Tacoma Service
by Matthew on 09/11/2023I want to preface this review with my truck is pride and joy. I came to the realization that this could be the only new vehicle I may ever have. I am the original owner and have been going to this location every 5k miles on the dot. I know… the dealership is more money but the piece of mind that I was getting the service my truck deserved I thought was worth the extra money. My horn hasn’t worked for months and the first thing on the multipoint inspection is horn which is manually checked green. If something as simple as the horn is not checked I have doubt in the service I received. I may be asking for too much but I am looking for a tech that will treat my truck like their own vehicle. The truck has 115000 miles and I have gone to this location for every service but it seems it’s time to save some money and find a location that will actually give my vehicle full attention and give me the service that I am paying for.Hi Matthew, we regret to hear that your recent experience was anything less than exceptional. My service call resulted in less work than I thought I needed.
by David on 09/07/2023I thought my car needed a full-service work up, and worried that they would find more expensive items that had to be fixed. However, Natasha my service rep told me I only needed one small item to take care of at this time. They did… recommend replacing my tires. However, that was something I already knew needed attention. They sent me a video of the mechanic taking measurements which I thought was a good touch as I could see the tread measurements. Never Again
by Fed_upp on 08/25/2023Brought truck in for regular maintenance. Just routine inspection and tire rotation. They replaced a seal on the drive shaft due to a found leak. The truck has modified suspension which they tried to align... They informed me they could not… get it aligned properly.(This has happened with them before) I asked if they could get the truck back to the condition they received it in. Ignored the request and told me the truck was "all set and wasn't pulling anymore" (never was in the first place). Proceeded to try to pick up the truck which is now not even drivable due to how it was aligned. Got a laundry list of excuses including them trying to tell me they suspension is install improperly, after almost 4 years with this setup and them being the only place to service the vehicle. As stated, this situation has happened in the past with them and they were able to quickly get the vehicle back to how it was prior to it being in their care. All of a sudden that is not possible? I have never felt compelled to write a review ANYWHERE. I have now left two for this place... Continue to have the worst experiences here and I only came back because they wouldn't refund the services they mischarged me for previously. Service and experience depends on who you get and how firm you are
by Yichela on 08/01/2023I usually do not leave any reviews, but with a purchase like this one, i will take the time and especially after the things that happened to me at the dealership. It was my first time buying a used car from a dealership because it’s more… trustworthy however the salesman that ended up closing the deal were extremely rude and pushy and impatient, their names were Mohammadd and fatam. They also did not want to help with any request i would bring to them concerning the car and some things that needed to be fixed. Important issues that were overlooked. Than i had to get the managers involved and i ended having to go back in forth to the dealer 6 times because there was always something and then on one of those visit i was ready to pick up my car and they had forgotten to put 2 pieces back on the car, so you can imagine my frustration because i really was not wanting to get a car anyways and now i had to go through this whole deal. To sum things up, i had to get the gm involved eventually, and after standing my ground they helped with most of my concerns but it should not had to be that hard. At the end the ones that got the commission did not deserve that, most of the managers did the work for them and i also had to switch my salesman because his attitude was not pleasing and had that “i am a salesman intimidating type of attitude”. I share this so whoever reviews this can make sure in the future when a customer speak their concerns they are heard and if a salesman has had a pattern of having a bad attitude several times, maybe they need to be changed or moved to another department because we deserve to all treat each other with respect and honesty. Specially the managers in charged also need to have a caring attitude because the ones i spoke to were always trying to speak only their opinions and not correct the mistakes as if they only cared of making the most profit possible. I literally had the manager and the salesman lie to me that the car had gotten fully detailed for sale, and when i constantly confronted them telling them that was not true and that i had found a lot of per hair stuck in the carpets they still did not do anything. David Mohammadd the manager was the one handling all of this. I just felt like another number when i walked in, but i am thankful that the gm was able to help with some of my concerns and everything that happened. So at the end of the tunnel there was light, but this is not acceptable. I really have been going through a lot of things and stress and this was more of a challange for me to fulfill instead of it being a joyful and a wonderful experience. I want to throw in a side note here: At the end of everything i found out this amazing sales man by the name of David Latifzada, that was asked by a manager to take us to fill up my friend’s car for going there so many times and while we did that i asked him for a favor that not even the salesman who's job was to help me didn’t do it, and David did stepped up to help and didn’t have an obligation since it was not his deal, but his has a good attitude and it seems he does his job with care and honesty.Hi Yichela, we are deeply disappointed by your experience at AutoNation Toyota Irvine. Excellent Service Visit

But after talking to Gilbert we were able to manage what really needed… to be done from the items that could wait a little while longer. Very helpful. We will ask for him by name next time.
