  • Best Car Shopping Experience Yet

5 out of 5 starsby skylerrich on 08/17/2014

I had gone in to Midway Nissan on Bell Rd, and inquired about a Nissan Juke Nismo, because I didn't want to be caught driving a normal Juke. The front end of the vehicle was a big deterrent to most, and even myself, but once I had taken it for a test drive, I immediately fell in love. This car has speed, and the best feature, the handling. I sat in the driver's seat, a Nismo stitched suede bucket seat and instantly felt like a race car driver in a high end sports car. They allowed me to take it home and keep it the following day to drive to work and make sure that I would love it even more. I returned the next day after work and purchased this vehicle through Romina F. Very easy and pleasant transaction, easy to talk to and be understood, answered every question I had, even technical ones including specifications on the turbo and the Rockford Fosgate sound system that were not listed on the spec sheet. This has easily been my favorite salesperson in comparison to all of the others, including at other dealerships. Thank you Romina for my Nissan Juke Nismo!!!

We bought a $36,000 new truck from these people, and they promised to deliver it to us in Flagstaff the following Friday. It never arrived, and they repeatedly hung up on my wife, and refused to return her voicemail messages for over two days. Finally after she threatened to report a stolen vehicle to the police the original salesman Loius called to tell her he "thought there might have been a hit-and-run" with our truck when it was being delivered. He told her he was trying to find another to replace it, but never called back or returned her calls after that. The service manager Ed B was always "too busy" to return her calls or deal with this enormous issue as well. Finally, when I returned from over two weeks of work in the Grand Canyon (and being out of reach) she fell sobbing into my arms. I left numerous messages to the service manager Ed B, the salesman Loius, and others, with no response, that following Sunday. Finally I reached a receptionist and told her that if we didn't hear back within a half hour about what happened to our brand new truck and when we'd have a replacement, I'd call the police about a stolen vehicle and have my lawyers begin a lawsuit. it took those threats to finally get someone to call us. While we never did find out what happened to our truck, I agreed to receive another color and their "fixer" delivered it the following Tuesday, four days and lots of stress later. This gentleman didn't know what had been happening to us, so I sat him down and explained it. He was genuinely appalled, embarrassed, and apologetic on behalf of the dealership, and forced Louis, the salesman, to apologize as well. I asked to receive an apology from the Service manager Ed B, but never heard from him. Another manager Aaron called to apologize, but spent far more time being defensive about how not all employees could be as good as Chris M, the "fixer", after I suggested that this fiasco wouldn't have happened had all their employees been as good as Chris. Our experience was off-the-charts ridiculous, and epitomized the caricature of the ugly, lying "used car salesman". They used super high pressure tactics and lies to sell the truck to my wife, then once they had our money, unbelievably thought we wouldn't notice our new car was missing! Buyer beware in spades.

  • Happy car-buying experience!

5 out of 5 starsby phoenixphun on 06/18/2010

I recently purchased a beautiful Nissan Altima 2.5SL from Midway Nissan, and I'm delighted with my new car! Midway has had some customer service challenges in the past, but it seemed obvious to me that they are working hard to overcome those issues with new staffing and new approaches to working with customers. I visited the dealership and drove cars twice before going back a third time to make the deal, and all three visits were positive and productive. Alan Deitschman, the Sales Consultant, and Josh Hill, the Assistant Sales Manager, were both professional, engaging, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend both of them and would encourage any prospective buyers to call the dealership before visiting to make an appointment with Alan. (They work on the same team, so when you work with Alan, you also work with Josh.) The actual "delivery" process of the car - from making sure everything was perfect to introducing me to the service representative to reviewing the manuals to handing over the keys - was the most professional and comprehensive I've ever experienced in a dealership anywhere. I drove off the lot feeling like I'd made a very fair deal on a great car and been treated with professionalism and respect in the process. As car buying goes, it doesn't get any better than that!

  • Midway Nissan

    5 out of 5 starsby bal1574 on 03/24/2010

I cannot say enough about Anthony, Rob, JC and the outstanding staff of Midway Nissan! You went above and beyond my expectations for service. You took your time to listen and care about me as a consumer rather than just trying to make a deal! There are a number of dealerships in this economy who make it obvious that they are desperate for service. Midway Nissan didn't. Anthony was considerate and understanding and allowed me time to just look at my leisure without me feeling like I had someone breathing down my neck. Rob made it a point to allow me to run all over the place with him to make me feel involved and completely at ease about my purchase. JC in finance was patient, quick and very thorough. If you are looking for a great car and exceptional service, Midway Nissan should be your only choice.

This is a very well run car dealership! We had a great experience when buying our new Nissan Altima! The sales people were great and had no high pressure sales, and were really willing to bend over backwards to EARN our business! Definitely worth the drive over there, you will be happy with them!

  • Above and Beyond

    4.5 out of 5 starsby mrpeabody1 on 03/16/2010

I can't say enough about Anthony and Rob at Midway Nissan. I bought an Altima a few years ago at a competing dealership with Anthony and when I found him at Midway I knew he would go above and beyond to make a deal with me. He is always been polite and concerned about what I am looking for and what price range I needed. He takes the time to get to know you and your family and that makes a big difference in my book! Rob was determined to find just the right vehicle even if he had to jaywalk across the street and call everyone he knew! In the end, we found a vehicle that hadn't been prepped for viewing/sale yet but Rob and Anthony were gracious enough to show the vehicle, get the facts and negotiate a fair deal. And when Pat, the GM, came out to greet me and ask how my car buying experience was going, I knew I was making the right choice. It wasn't just about the numbers for these guys..they truly want your business and are willing to back it up with a gentleman's handshake and confirmation of service. Best Nissan dealership I have ever been to!

  • Nissan Midway rocks!

5 out of 5 starsby klafferty on 03/11/2010

My wife and I thought we would go out and do some car shopping. I had already had the chance to drive some vehicles and get a feel for some local dealers. When we stopped in at Midway Nissan, it was to test drive with an agent I had talked to before. (I liked his easy approach) Well...he wasn't there, so we got to speak with Michael Johnson. It would seem that he has a low-keyed style as well. A pushy dealer is an impediment to the car-buying process, so a person like Michael really makes it all seem easy from the get-go. We got to drive a vehicle, get some numbetrs, and talk about a deal in a pleasant fashion. Sweet! The dealership was absolutely ready to sell some cars, but they weren't too agressive in doing so. We never left to look at other cars and didn't regret it. We got a great car, a great deal, and a great deal of satisfaction. You could do a whole lot worse in other places and I am not too sure you could do any better than Midway Nissan. You should ask for Michael and expect to feel comfortable with the process. If he's still there in a couple of years, I'll be talking to him about another car. Wow.
  • BEST PLACE TO BUY YOUR CAR FROM FOLKS!!

    4.2 out of 5 starsby blackjack8 on 12/21/2009

I just wanted to let the public know that Midway has always treated my wife and me very good no matter what department we have dealt with. Our most recent purchase of a 2010 Nissan Maxima and a used 2007 Tahoe has once again proved to my wife and me that these guys are the best. I have bought many cars in my life time from several dealerships in the United States throughout my lifetime and I know the hassles that are associated with purchasing a vehicle from a dealer and its always a long process which it should be because after all your car is probably the second most important asset that you will invest in. My point here people is if you do not do the research or no the laws that are in place to protect us the consumers then yes you can and most likely will get taken. This dealership is not one of those places. Let's be realistic folks, I am sure that Midway has a few shady representatives in their system but all work places our environments have this. My best advice to you as the consumer is to do the research and if you have any doubts about the sales person you are working with always ask to speak with someone else our the supervisor, its really to easy. Midway from our experience has never treated us in any other matter then what's expected and that's with respect and truthfulness. We should all understand that this is a business and that they are in it for a profit just as any other business on the street. Finally, if you are looking to buy a great car and get a great deal there are 2 guys in particular that I highly recommend you ask to speak too. Brian Pashia and or Patrick Fairley. These two guys are the best and will bust their butts to get you into a great car for a great deal!! My wife and I were so ecstatic about our service that I had to meet with the GM (general manager) to tell him that his midway sales team rocks!! Thanks again guys and we will be seeing you for our next purchase.
  • Great Job Midway Nissan

    5 out of 5 starsby cubsfan23 on 12/17/2009

When I arrived at Midway Nissan I was greeted by Chris. He was very patient as I needed a new car but did not have any idea what I was really looking for. We test drove 4 different vehicles before I settled on an 09 Murano. While I was trying to decide what I really wanted to buy the store manage Pat stopped by to introduce himself and make sure the service was up to standards. He and Chris's manager Ron both assured me to take my time and make sure the vehicle I buy is what I need and want. Once I was able to decide I was in and out of finance and ready to drive away in about an hour and a half. This was on Friday night on Monday afternoon Chris called to find out how everything was working with the car and ensure I was still happy with the car. What a class dealership I would recommed this dealership to friends and family.
  • Bait and Switch!!!

With out a doubt, this has been the worst car buying experience of my life. I will never step foot on a Midway dealersip ever again! First off, they do have a great selection, and the sales personel do not harrass you as much as some other dealerships. As for the negative aspects...It's all found in the financial department. I sat down with the finance department, finalized the deal, and signed the contract. 3 days later, I received a call stating that they need to finalize some things and that they needed proof of income. So I went down with check stubs in hand. I handed over the check stubs, and they handed me a new contract to sign. A NEW CONTRACT WITH AN INCREASED INTREST RATE OF 4%. They stated that I need to sign the new contract, or else they were going to charge me for mileage that I had incurred over the last 3 days. Also, I no longer had my previous vehicle. Needless to say, I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office. I also sent a copy to the Nissan CEO. Since then, I have contacted my personal bank, and have refinanced. I just wanted to make any potential Midway Nissan buyers aware of their tactics. • Horrible Dealership

    2.2 out of 5 starsby riannon81 on 03/19/2008

Midway is one of the worst Nissan dealerships in the country. I had nothing but problems with them once they sold me a used Murano. As soon as the papers were signed, they were rude and uncooperative. To begin with, a few days after we signed the papers, the financing department called at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and said if I didn't furnish them with insurance for the Murano, they were going to charge me over $800. I provided valid insurance before I left the lot, when I purchased the truck, and was told I had about 30 days to change my insurance to cover the Murano. Either they lied then, or when they called and tried to charge me $800. Also, when I bought the truck, the tires were bald and I was told they would be replaced because it is a safety issue. They lied about that as well. I fought with them for several hours with no luck. Finally, my boyfriend went in and talked to them and they agreed to change the tires. However, many months later we discovered that they put the wrong size tires on the truck. The tires the Midway's service department put on were more than 3% off of the factory tires. I had asked for factory tires. Midway refused to change them out, saying I was just trying to get new tires. Again, that was inaccurate, seeing as how the tires weren't even half used. I tried going through the Nissan corporate offices, but as the truck was bought used, they wouldn't do anything to help. However, they did tell me that they get complaints about Midway Nissan ALL of the time. Every person I spoke to knew who they were because of their horrible reputation. Unfortunately, because they are such a high volume dealer, Nissan won't do anything about their poor customer service.
    • Actions like you have taken here by posting your concerns and issues is the first step in Midway becoming a "lower" volume dealership as the Internet continues to become a prevalent medium for communication more and more people will read these review and be able to make informed decision on where to by their Nissan and Nissan USA will then take notice and action. Earnhardt's Nissan actually bought the Nissan I wanted from Midway and sold it to me for 9K less then Midway offered.. So they lost my business.. There are good Nissan dealerships out there but avoid Midway and also Pinnacle as they are owned by the same individual. Let all put the screws to Midway and Pinnacle and any other Nissan/Infinity dealership they own.. Post to your Facebook friends, your My Space friends, etc. I have already, my 100 friends who have 100's of friends and so on and so forth... POWER TO THE PEOPLE HERE..... They will be beggin for a gov't bailout soon..

  • My sales person was adequate, the F&I raises doubts.

    2.6 out of 5 starsby txn_egl_sct on 10/10/2007

My sales person was more than adequate. Being a serious "Car Guy" I am by no means uninformed when I go to seriously shop for a car. I typically know more about the car then the sales person. My problem came in when we got to F&I. We decided to be a first-time leaser for my '07 Nissan Sentra 2.0 S. We were there very late (11pm or so) and got all the papers signed and done or so we thought. The next day I got a call that said that "There was a problem with the paperwork, and I would have to resign new papers." Red flags were immediately raised to say the least. We arrived at the dealer that night and were told that they "had" to go with a different leasing company than originally though and, oh yeah my payment was going up $30 month. I was expect something like this, so I had before arriving told my wife to get her keys handy so we could put them on the desk and walk. Needless to say my refusal to just accept a new contract and pay more than I had originally agreed and signed a contract for sent them scattering trying to "fix it". The F&I manager came in and said actually said to me "it's only $30". My response was less than enthusiastic regarding his indifference. After several trips to the back room by the F&I manager, they got within a couple of dollars of the payment I had the night before, but I also was resolute on the absolutely required inslusion of GAP insurance. Again something not included the night prior. I really like the car, but I can only wonder about whether this lease was the right thing for me to do. I only did it because I don't drive very far per year, maybe 9,000/year with my last car.

walked out with a new vehicle, lower interest rate, lower payment, and a vehicle color that fits my personality! Thanks guy for correcting my first experience with you! my only suggestion is with our busy lifestyles you should really look into STREAMLINING the whole process. It should not be an all day excursion and would make for making a better customer service experience. Ciao!

The sales team and managers at this dealership are 1000% full of @%#$. You will be wasting your time by just driving to the dealership. I have purchased 15 plus new cars in my life. Went to test drive a Nissan to compare with other cars I was interested in buying. The sales man wrote on a scrap piece of paper. "I agree to stay here for 2 to 3 hours while a deal is worked out". Then wanted us to sign. Major red flag. We waited for them to come back with first offer. $250 more a month then we could get on a Malibu or Fusion. The car also had a lower sticker price and more rebates. I could go on. Run. Run very fast away.

I went to this dealership tonight (midway) they ask for the keys to my truck so they can see it. that is when my nightmare started I told the sales person I was no interested on the deal they offer me, I told them I was not buying anything tonight he said ok. 15 minutes later he came back with more numbers I told him again I was not interested on buying anything I ask him again to give me the keys to my truck, 30 minutes when by no where to find the guy nor the keys to my truck. long story short. I called the police on them. that is the only way I got my keys back. I will never come to this dealership again. I have bought 11 brand new cars in the last 13 years. I have never had a worst expirence then this one I will not recomend this dealership to anybody

Our experience was kind of a rollercoaster in that we started out really good with our purchase. The sales person tried to assist but was way too busy juggling multiple clients. The wait was long because of that however after all was said and done we drove out in a new 2015 car. Overall it was productive and worth the wait.

I was very satisfied with the purchase of a new Xterra. It had all of the options I asked for and my salesperson (Matt P.) found the vehicle I wanted out of state, and made all necessary arrangements to get it for me and even provided a loaner car until it arrived. To anyone who visits Midway Nissan, I highly recommend asking for Matt P. You will be more than satisfied.
  • Hidden fees

Went to this dealership expecting to pay the ADVERTISED price... Test drove the car, filled out all of the paperwork, sat around for 1.5 hours, only to have them come back and tell me that they had an almost $2k reconditioning fee. I informed them that I was not paying above the advertised price. They then graciously offered to split that with me (sarcasm), so it would only be $1k more than the advertised price. A sales manager then came out and insisted that this wasn't a hidden fee because of some fine print on the website. All in a very condescending manner and would not budge. Said they were "doing me a favor" "probably losing money" "this was a hot car" (when I know it's been on their lot over a month). Its well known that these guys make good margins on trade ins but still insist to play the"I'm losing money" card, which is highly irritating. Anyway, the sales associate was a nice guy (tall, black, younger gentleman from st Louis) and i would have happily bought from him. Patrick was fine in the few minutes we dealt with him. The "sales manager" was a pockmarked, condescending [non-permissible content removed] and had me out the door in 5 minutes.... Watch for the hidden fees. 8% of the sales price is quite a bit. I consider that false advertising, but apparently they smugly think its just fine because of their disclaimer in the fine print. I would steer clear

We were very impressed with our whole experience with the our purchase at Midway Nissan. First our salesperson Tony was knowlegalbe and answered all of our question. We really were impressed with the teamwork when Tony had something come up we were helped by Jeff. Even when we were waiting for something to happen next other memebers of the team would stop by and check on us. The best examples of exceptional customer service we have ever seen. When we drove off with our new Juke we really felt part of the Midway Nissan family
