  • Decent car buying experience

    I bought a 2012 Nissan Sentra S. from this dealership back in November of 2011, and I am quite satisfied with my purchase. I think the price for my car was slightly over the suggested fair price, but then again I did have negative equity. I also purchased the extended warranty, and a package with other benefits with the finance company. The only thing that I over paid for was the floor mats that went inside the car which were about $100-$200 bucks. I didn't realize this until after I purchased the car, and looked at the specs for the car that was printed on the laminated paper that went with it. I must also note that the car salesmen didn't even show me the specs, and instead stuffed it in between the seat , and center console when I took it for a drive. Other than that the dealership honored everything that they said they would which included giving me an excellent price for my trade in. I also, was able to get a good interest rate of 4.3% with my not so stellar credit rating. However, my car could be considered ever so slightly used because it had 50 miles on it when I bought it, and I ended up with an exterior color I wasn't too thrilled about. I would buy from this dealership again, but stick to my personal preferences next time I buy.

    just a bit of warning, i only wasted a couple of hours here, but not that bad of an experience. one thing that upset me though, was a trick i had not yet seen from a salesman...very very shady. an internet sales person called in response to an online inquiry and invited me in to appraise my trade, he tried to reach me a couple of times and i finally agreed to visit. the day of his "manager" called and said he was taking over, okay, no worries...it's just an appraisal. he was nice, but very pushy to make the sale tonight...not gonna happen...he actually went to talk to the GM and came back with a "contract", hand-written piece of paper that says "we would come to a fair, and agreed price" and i would committ to leaving with a car by 8pm that evening. of course, i am not signing a damn thing...and said it just like that. ive never seen this and would advise anyone to never, ever, ever sign anything (especially hand-written) from a dealer until you are sure and willing to all of the terms.

    please read the comment by me below, The deal has been settled and the management took very good care of me, and understood the problem. A+++ on the aftermath, however, this should not have happened in the first place. I will not delete this review, and lie and say all is well. But I will say, that they really did take care of me well the next day, and were sincerely sorry about what happened.
    • The very next day, we have settled the deal. I contacted the dealer, and spoke to the acting general manager, he took care of me, and apologized for the incident. They took care of everything that I was told they would do earlier, detailing the vehicle, giving it to me for the price that I was originally quoted, and even a full tank of gas. Even though this should not have happened in the first place, it is still comforting to see that there was a higher echelon that was willing to take care of me and understood the problem immediately.

    Midway Nissan has a great group of staff working for them, both sales and finance. James C was my sales person he was very nice, awesome personality and willing to work with me to make sure I was able to get the automobile I wanted. Thanks James you ROCK!

    Thank you for making my son's first car purchase a great experience. We went into the car lot knowing what we wanted and we got more than that. Very nice customer service and a great car for a great price. Thank you again!

    5/20 2011 I talked to Scott the internet sales manager about trading in 5 vehicles for 1. He said they would give us wholesale book values for the trades.Then the sales manager, I believe his name was Mark, called and was very friendly also. He told me to come on down. That was Friday. Then on sunday, 5/22/2011, after church me and my wife weren't doing anything so we got in the van and drove down there. When we arrived there, Scott or the manager we were talking to weren't there. No big deal. The salesman Greg says I know all about your conversations with Scott and he would be glad to help us. I have bought 4 cars from Midway over the last 10 years (2 new chevys and 2 used chevys) and thought no big deal. Greg took down our trade info on all 5 vehicles and went to the management booth and after about 10 minutes this guy named Larry came out and attacked us on the value of our trades. He got very rude and insulting. He informed me we were done here and sent us away. Not trying to put us in a car, not trying to help us buy at all, just your trades are worth nothing and go away. I have never had such a degrading experience trying to buy a car in my life. I will never put foot on Midway property again and would not recommend them to an enemy let alone a friend. I will sell the vehicles on craigslist and take the cash to another dealer but it won't be Midway!!!!!

    Midway Chev quoted me a price at the dealership on Sunday, 1-1-2012, for a 2012 Equinox 1LT 4 cylinder. I agreed. Told him I don't exchange money on Sunday but would be back Monday at about 10 am. I indeed returned Monday at about 10:30am. My wife tried out the car and said OK. I sat down to do the cash deal with no trade. The salesman, Jason (internet manager), whom I had dealt with Sunday showed me the paper work, which turned out to be $2995 over the agreed to price earlier. Of course we had some real discussion. He now tells me, "Oh no we can't do that". I showed him the price he quoted. He actually had the original quote in hand. Tuesday I went to Sands Chev in Glendale: bought the 6 cyl for less money and a better experience. Fair "Warning"!! Buyer beware!
    • They did the same thing to me, except I didn't catch it in time. My car was sold to me for slightly over the fair price tag.

    I was looking at a Versa. They were extremely pushy and wanted me to close the deal today at any cost. I was told no incentives were available for this car. They wanted to give me hardly anything for my trade. After a few hours and some BS number crunching, my trade in was coming up and the payments going down, and looking better. They also stressed how they were 'losing' over $1000 on the deal. When I finally told them it wasnt happening today, the managers basically stormed off [non-permissible content removed]. After looking up the stock number online of the car I was buying, I not only found out that it was over $1000 cheaper than the price they were selling it to me AFTER my trade in and all their BS number crunching, BUT, there IS incentives available. They were trying to keep MY $1000 cash back incentive and wrote it up as a commission loss in the paperwork. Some of the biggest [non-permissible content removed] I have ever seen working there.

    Yes I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a Nissan. Brian T was great, he really went all out to see that I found a good deal and a great car. will pass this info on to every one I talk to. This place has a life long customer in me.

    I called Midway Nissan to get a price on a base model 2014 Nissan Versa. I was told by the associate on the phone that they had many in stock at $9999.00. I asked the associate if he was sure because I was driving over an hour away. He said yes come down we’ll get you a $50.00 gift card. After driving over an hour to the dealership I spoke with a sales manager that said the price was miss quoted. To qualify for the $9999.00 price I needed to be a Vet, college grad and a Costco member. The lowest price he could give was $12000 plus tax, title and fees. The sales manager offered a very unapologetic, sorry about that. I inquired about the $50.00 gift card for wasting my time and money. I was told the person with the key to the gift cards was not there, they would mail it. And again I received a sorry about that.

    I just purchased a new 2013 Nissan Rogue. My experience was wonderful. Scott was the salesman that helped me. I was impressed with their focus on customer service. In this day and age, the customers' voice/opinion can be shared across the internet in a matter of seconds. Midway is very customer focused and I really liked that. Matt was the employee I worked with in finance. He was very efficient and explained things in a way I could understand. I appreciated him being considerate of my time and having everything together and ready to go when we sat down to start signing paper work. Overall, my experience was exceptional. I would come back to Midway Nissan in a heartbeat and would recommend them to my friends and family. Thanks for a great experience!! A+

    The experience was excellent. Everyone was patient and willing to do whatever possible to make me feel comfortable. The process was fast and there was not hassle. Would recomend.
