    Routine service at Koons Tysons Toyota is a well-oiled machine. Within thirty seconds of pulling up, someone took the necessary information and handed me a form to take to a service manager. The service manager confirmed the purpose of the appointment and told me that it would take about an hour and a half for the 35K mile service. At about an hour and twenty minutes later he called me and told me that it was done. Almost painless.

  • They told me I could go to any Koons for my oil changes so I would buy the

    When I bought my car, I bought oil changes and I was told I can use them at any coons in the area. It was a lie. I have to drive an hour away from my house every single time I need an oil change and it takes all day long. The service department is very courteous and polite though. They don’t control it but I wish the sales team did not lie to me.

  • My advice to anyone reading this … Stay away from Koons Tyson Toyota.

    Got a voicemail message from James saying that our vehicle needed all this extra service. However all of the services James speaks of in the voicemail was done at our last visit. My wife was there ant the dealership so I’m thinking this is the let’s get one over on the lady situation. She asked James about the message he said he didn’t call me. She had to show him the transcript of the voicemail message he left with his cell phone number. When my wife returned home I played the voicemail for her and she verified that was him. My advice to anyone reading this … Stay away from Koons Tyson Toyota.

    Because I got out of work early, I ended up getting to my appointment before the scheduled maintenance appointment time. I dropped the car off thinking I would have to wait even longer because I showed up early. However, the dealership was able to get my car sooner than expected. I got my car worked on and had it returned to me faster than expected.

    I just went in for an oil & filter change. One hour and it was done. I was fortunate anuff to use the same service advisor as a previous visit even though there are many service advisors at this dealership. Having the same exceptional service advisor who knows my needs provides that personal touch.

  • Great disappointment

    Koons Tysons Toyota has become a great disappointment. Toyota promotes their owners website, toyota.com/owners, writing "Amp Up Your Ownership. Access to all the tools and information for your Toyota—in one place." I own multiple Prii (Priuses), have spent over $5,000 per year for each of the past five years on repairs at Koons, and have made extensive use of this owner site to help with Toyotas that I own and with Toyotas I am considering buying. Unfortunately, there are problems with the site that I have been trying to get resolved--I have spent hours exchanging emails and talking to Toyota's 800 support line over the past months, but with no success. Toyota's model is to push most customer service to their dealers, but Koons has been of no help. I haven't been able to reach anyone at Toyota or at Koons who is able or interested in understanding, much less solving, what should be a relatively easy problem. Koons and Toyota need a new customer service model. Are they listening?

    Koons Tysons Toyota has The best service department that I have ever experienced (I’m over 60, so I’ve had some experience 👍). It is not easy to find a dealership that consistently demonstrates integrity and professionalism, but this organization does. The service managers and mechanics/technicians are exceptional. They address the service needs, make reasonable recommendations, perform timely and offer a reasonable and competitive price (including coupons/special offers). I and my wife have been totally satisfied customers of this organization for more than ten years and will continue to be for all of these reasons

    First time receiving service on my car. The Service Dept runs like a well-oiled machine. The work was completed within the stated time, my service manager Devin was excellent and they have a shuttle so you can run errands while the service is performed.

    I took my car in for an oil change and to investigate why my car was turning off. James reminded me of my engine using up the oil faster than usual compared to other cars. But rather than insisting to change the engine, he suggested other lower cost solutions. I am grateful for James and he is my prefer service advisor. I don’t go to any other advisors. James Kim is experienced and knows his stuff. Even though the web says that my type of car has to change the timing chain every 100,000 miles, James said it’s not necessary.
