Frustrations...
by 1234567 on 01/25/2023My recent experience with Auto Nation Service at the Dulles VA location was one that has become somewhat common ... 1. When I called to verify my 5:00 pm appointment, I asked how late their shuttle ran and was told 7:00 pm. However upon… arrival I was told by the service rep that that was incorrect; the shuttles had stopped for the day. 2. I patiently waited several minutes before anyone acknowledged me after I had parked inside the service bay. I understand this was later in the day, and that some staff may have left at that point, but several Auto-Nation-blue-shirted employees walked past in that time, and not one provided a simple “someone will be with you shortly” type greeting. 3. I asked for an estimated time for my Schedule B1 service (consisting mainly of an oil change and tire rotation) and was told it would be done the next morning, or at their closing time of 8:00 pm. Given that, I opted to call home and get a ride home from my spouse. About an hour later, they called to say that the car was done. I would have waited for the car if I had any inkling that it could have been completed that quickly. 4. I ended up going back early the next morning to pick the car up. At that time, their payment system was down and so the service rep had to write down my payment information. No worries there. I did, however, ask whether he could e-mail me a copy of the work details for my record -- as they done so in the past -- but what I received was a copy of my payment.Hi, we regret your experience with us here, but are glad you brought this to our attention. Hmm, I am not sure what this would accomplish. I already received and responded to a follow up text that appears to me as an automated push that nobody monitors. The text I received was: "I wanted to reach out to ask if we were able to give you a great experience while your car was being serviced?" My response: "actually, my experience the other day was less than what I would have hoped"... that exchange was over a week ago, with zero follow up call or text from anyone.

Very happy with the work done

ANNOYED Buyer
by Kim Buz Hev on 01/06/2023Annoyed- i never write reviews so that's how upset I am. I saw a used Van that this dealership had posted and was interested. On a Tuesday night I contacted them to confirm it was available I received a prompt response. The next day I… called them to confirm again that the Van was still available and ready for purchase I spoke with 3 different people and even did the Credit Application ahead of time since I was that interested. I live 45 mins away and when I get there with my husband I am told the Van isn't ready it is still in the shop getting serviced ("the paint was drying") but that if we decide to purchase it the Van will be ready tomorrow and we can pick it up tomorrow anytime, so we moved forward with the purchase. They give me a loaner car to use to come back the next day to get the Van. I call multiple times the next day and get told the Van still isn't ready and that finally it'll be ready at 7pm without being able to tell me what other service was being done to the Van. I told them I cannot come pick it up that late I have a one-year-old and that they need to drop the Van off to me the next day because I don’t have availability to make the trip the next day & because they have not been upfront with me. They agreed and asked if noon tomorrow was okay I said yes and to keep me updated. No one calls me the next day so I call multiple times to finally get told the Van won't be ready for another hour, but she will be on her way to me by 12:30pm. I said okay and keep me updated. It is 1:30pm on that day I am supposed to get the Van but STILL NOTHING. No one is answering me or giving me an update on when they are coming. I purchased this vehicle 2 days ago and have still never even still it in person. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. There is no sense of urgency or concern at all. I have purchased a Honda from a Honda dealership before and got amazing customer service. I am shocked. I am awaiting a phone call from the manager now. He provided superb customer service and went above and beyond to ensure that i was satisfied with the service performed. I appreciated his honesty. It did take longer… than expected. Confusion
by Pilot Owner on 12/28/2022The heat on our Pilot was not working as expected so we took it to our dealership. We were told that we need to "drive around with the heat on high" after leaving it for a day with the technician. After a week it was still blowing cold air… for an extended period of time. Good thing we took it back and had them look at it again because we were informed this time around that the heater core needed to be replaced for a cost of $2,400+ (not covered by the certified pre-owned warranty). Now we are concerned about what might be next—unfortunate as we had much better luck with servicing our CR-V.
