    My first visit to Freedom Chevrolet was a great experience, thanks to Chris in Service advisor and Tumay, service manager. Chris was exceptionally helpful, keeping me updated with texts and calls about the work being performed and the test diagnostic at every step. Tumay ensured everything was on track and that I was taken care of during the whole process. I truly felt like family because of the excellent care they provided, I was a friend/family and not a "customer". I'll definitely be back and will recommend Freedom Chevrolet, Chris and Tumay to all my friends and family. Keep up the great work.

    Female staff member in the service department was rude. Last time my wife and I went in, we were lied to about a part that the dealership forgot to order.

    Freedom Chevrolet has always provided me with quality service. I've been a customer since 2009. Gabriela is always friendly and provides me updates while I wait until my vehicle's service has been completed. The waiting area is comfortable and inviting.

  • Tailgate electronics recall

    The service at Freedom has dramatically improved since the last time I had to use their service department. They even washed my truck, something other dealers have done to my various vehicles but the first time Freedom has done so. I hope they keep that up, it is a nice touch that shows an extra level of customer service.

  • 2017 Camaro - alignment and diagnostic check.

    First, let me say the Uber service they provide is a nice touch. Now for the bad part. Took car in for a 4 wheel alignment at 7:30 on 5/1/24. That's the only thing I can say went good. The transmission was acting funny so I showed them a video of the instrument panel and what the trans. temp was doing, causing the car to shift from O.D to high gear by sending mixed signals to the PCM from trans. temp. sensor. I asked they diagnose and let me know what they find. Zero communication from them until 4:00 pm asking me to approve an $1,100 repair job through a text portal. Ok, not doing that. Got back to dealer and asked why they had the car all day and was barely getting me a diagnostics report 2 hours before they close. No satisfactory explanation for this. Told me they had the part in stock and could do tomorrow (5/2/24) Made arrangements to bring it in the next day and showed up at 7am, literally the 2nd car in. Dropped off vehicle and went to work. Zero communication all day again. Called the dealer around noon and asked for an update. Was told they were working on it and if it wasn't done I would get a loaner car to drive IF another customer brought it back in time. Called back at 3:30 and was told not only was it not done, no one had even started on it! They could not guarantee a loaner either and offered to Uber me home to which I asked if they would Uber me back to work the next day, to which they said no. I was fuming at this point and when I got back to the dealership, all of a sudden they had a car for me and someone was literally pulling my car to the back when I got there. The job was finally done around lunch time on 5/3/24. At the end of the day, I did get a loaner on 5/2, and they did do the work but the lack of communication and constant re-organizing my schedule to go back and forth to the dealer was not worth it. They didn't even offer to discount the work, like not even a little bit. When I went in to pick it up, they wouldn't even talk to me. The person who did take the payment did just that, no explanation of the work, no sorry it took so long, just took the money and said "Thanks". I had to ask for every little piece of information (i.e. diagnostic report, alignment report). Could not get a straight answer on what they actually did to the transmission aside from a line item description on the invoice. I think the people there (up front and in the shop) are good people and mean well, but perhaps they are overworked due to lack of employees, or there is something wrong with their process. I tend towards a process issue as it seems there are plenty of people. People really rely too much on tech these days to communicate when a simple phone call is all it takes. I don't want to believe they just don't care, but I'm not fully convinced. If I hadn't put up such a fuss, would they have had a car waiting for me when I got there? Don't know, but I somehow doubt it. Sad thing is I am in the market to trade this car in for a new one, but won't be going to Freedom Chevrolet to do it. They have literally taken my money, but I'm the one who ran. They need to offer me some type of reimbursement. If they can do that, I would consider doing business there again, but I'm not holding my breath. I would suggest you have your vehicles serviced elsewhere.

  • Lack of communication/ deceiving practices

    I went in because I had purchased the preventative maintenance package and I was due for an oil change, they welcomed me in, took my keys and took my vehicle for service, once it was done they said I owe $83, I asked why if I had the package and they said it was expired. I asked then why I was not told before the service was done and they said, they didn’t noticed until was done, I know for a fact that if any repair center don’t have an authorization written or even verbal of any amount of dollars, they’re not allowed to expect payment but I went ahead and paid it, this is why the automotive industry have a bad reputation, because of companies or people like this, communication is key and they might not be interested in keeping my business but I’m not interested in doing business with them either. I will be trading in my vehicle for a completely different brand and for sure I will not be going back to freedom Chevrolet or recommend any service to anyone there. Thank you

  • Alternator

    I took my truck in for the battery light on the dash. Sat there for almost 3 hours then just before closing they told me my battery was dead and wanted me to buy a new one. I explained the battery was under warranty from AutoZone, but asked if the alternator was bad too? I got told they couldn’t test the alternator without a working battery and they would not use a battery they had because it was considered “parts”. I reminded them I didn’t want a new battery but simply to know if I needed a new alternator too since I was going to autozone for the replacement battery anyway. Finally a manager stepped in and provided a battery to which I was informed the alternator was bad too. So I bought a new alternator, belt, and returned next day with the new battery etc. After another almost 5 hours of waiting my truck was finally ready. In the biggest insult after all of that, they wanted to charge me over $700 for labor!! Mind you I bought and supplied all the parts myself. So a 2 hour replacement of an alternator cost me 2 days and labor fees costing more than new parts. I was also not quoted the outrageous cost beforehand or I would have done the replacement myself.

    Customer service could go a long way Very inconsistent Service person barely explained anything to me and exact time it would take for veh to be done Veh ended up staying over night even though it was for a oil change and front end alignment Did not receive any notification from them or a call the next day Had to call myself to find out what the status was on my veh

  • Communication and Documentation Needed to Be Better

    I had an OEM fog light kit installed on a 2021 Colorado WT. This is not standard equipment for the model and the computer had to be flashed in order for the fog lights to function and all of the buttons and lights on the dash to work properly. I was told it would take an hour to do the job. Four hours later, the work was completed. The problems? 1) The instructions to flash the computer had diagrams that were upside down and backwards compared to the hardware on the truck. It took a long time for the technician to figure out the error. 2) Poor communication on behalf of the service staff as to the status of the update and why it was taking so long. When I went to ask about progress, I was told I would get an update in 10 mins, but an hour later, I had to check in again only to receive the same promise. At the end (3.5 hours later) I went out and spoke directly to the person who was working on the truck to get clear and honest updates as to the problems that were presented by the poor instructions. I was headed home 30 mins later.
