Can't get it right!
by CESEATON on 05/01/2025I brought my vehicle in because the app said that there was an issue with my thermostat sensor. We live an hour away, so my wife and I had to drive two vehicles to Lubbock, leave the vehicle with the faulty sensor for a week, and then drive… back to pick it up. The dealership said that the sensor replacement was under warranty, but they had to order the part, which prolonged the process. Supposedly, it was replaced, and we took the vehicle back home. Now, one week later, the error light is back on, and the app says that the vehicle has the exact same issue. Give me a break! Do it right the first time. Now we'll have to make the one-hour trip again and leave the vehicle for a few more days for them to "fix" the problem. Completely unsatisfactory!Unresolved Issues / 3rd times the charm right??
by mrsjohnson on 09/21/2023I took my car in with 2 specific issues. One issue seems like it may be resolved but honestly I haven't had my car back long enough to be certain. I got the car back for the first time on 9/15/2023. My issues included AC and steering. The… AC issues seem resolved. The steering issues are not. I drove the car a total of 4 miles and the steering issue was still there and a new issue related to the Stabilitrak was present. I returned the car immediately to the shop after hours that evening. I called on Monday and spoke to the Service Manager who said he would be the contact on it and get the Foreman to look at it. They came back VIA a service writer saying a sensor was out and they would be charging me even more for the repairs. We agreed on a more fair cost seeing as how they had already said all issues resolved for almost $740. I never heard from the manager or foreman to this point. I went to pick up my car on 9/20/2023 paying an additional near $160. I drove away and the steering issue persisted. Went back in and spoke with the service writer who argued that it was fixed. I demanded someone ride with me. Foreman rode with me and witnessed the steering issue. The car was left for a third time since 9/11/2023. The service to the vehicle has been beyond unacceptable as well as the customer service. When I am back in within 24 hours with the same issue I expect contact from Managers and Foreman ONLY. Now that it is the THIRD go it is expected even more. I went to this shop because they are certified with Buick and the Buick company said they were the recommended in my area. I am incredibly unsatisfied.I have appreciated the opportunity to learn about your recent experiences with our service department. It seems we have fallen short during our time with your car. I would like to update add to or edit, per say, this review. After another 10 or so days I got my car back for the final time and all issues were resolved with no additional charges. I will also mention that I have now spoken with 2 other individuals who had similar issues with the service dept. at Scoggin Dickey. They too seemingly were forced to replace the battery being told it would resolve all issues and it ended up being a very similar fiasco as I was in. I do greatly appreciate the service I received in response to this review but it did take making this review and making my husband the primary contact on the issue to actually get to this point. In the future I will do everything in my power to find an alternate route or different Buick certified service for my issues.

Repeat unresolved visits
by Art & Carrie on 02/20/2023Vehicle is only 2 yrs old. The front camera quit. Took it for diagnosis, part was ordered, brought it back 2 weeks later and they had ordered the wrong part. They kept my vehicle for over 24 hours before realizing the error. Another part… was ordered. Waiting another 2 weeks to take it back. We are never greeted when pulling into service, we have to locate an office with someone to help us even though they plainly see us pulling the vehicle in because the office walls are clear windows. We just don’t feel like they enjoy their jobs.Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. I dealt with Tom and we were able to work a deal over phone and there were no surprises and no hassles. I will never deal with… the shady car dealers in Houston anymore. Need a car? Lost wages

I lost a day of pay and ended up having to rent a car to work. They do not care. I know owning up to the situation and changing their mind is not legally required but ethically right. Glad they still have integrity. I would still urge… every buyer of any used car to make sure the vehicle is vetted by a mechanic prior to purchase. Never assume a dealership has inspected the vehicle.
