I purchased my second Lincoln from David McDavid Lincoln in 2015 because of the treatment I had received in their Service… Department. My experience with them was I always received first class treatment, from the work performed, cost involved and the consideration of my time. The best cars in the world are lemons if you can't get them serviced without a hassle.Extras on the Oil Change
by thproctor on 10/09/2017Took 2011 MKT for oil change. This was done to satisfaction. However other problems were found and documented. Price for the proposed repairs was over $1700. Took the vehicle for a second opinion and was told one fix, McDavid estimate… of $525.56, was not necessary. Another repair was both control arms and bushings when only the bushings, available separate from the control arm, needed to be replaced. Another item was a front strut which was quoted. While only one was leaking it would have been best to replace both, they both had 86,000 miles. While I prefer going to the dealer for most things and David McDavid has treated me well in the past I have learned to get other estimates for large repairs. I would still recommend this dealer with caveats. I paid a fair price for the services performed.Greetings and thank you for your honest feedback. Service there, because of Steve Koulos is professional, patient… and kind. It may cost more than other places for an oil change, but because of Steve it is worth it.MKZ service

by TillmanTwins on 12/04/2015I recently went to David McDavid's Lincoln in Plano to purchase a vehicle I found through my insurance company's car buying service. I had narrowed the search down to my top five vehicles and this one was going to be the first one I looked… at. Unfortunately, I called one day after that vehicle was sold. But the Sales Rep (Mr. James) was very optimistic that he would have another vehicle that could fill my needs. The very next day, my husband and I went to the dealership, was pleasantly greeted by Mr. James, and he went right to work with us. I am all about business and Mr. James did an awesome job walking us through various options, not wasting time on vehicles that did not suit my needs or exceed my budget. He answered all of my questions then gave my husband and I the space we needed to talk privately. Needless to say, 3 hours later, I drove out of the lot with a vehicle better than the one I originally saw, and it was less expensive. I didn't even bother to go look at the other four vehicles in my top five. (I'd never done that before) I can be a demanding customer, but Mr. James was patient, understanding, and very pleasant to talk to. I was overwhelming pleased with the entire experience and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle.Fast, efficient service on my Town Car

By 10:20 my car was ready and had been both washed and vacuumed. I had a nice latte and did a few puzzles while I… waited. The service on my vehicle was all completed along with a 21 point inspection. It was a completely satisfactory experience in every way.Great service!!

Disappointed
by IanWilliams on 12/02/2015I brought in my Lincoln MKS to purchase a second key fob. The dealership charged me for the new key fob and $300 for the time to program it. They said the process was approximately 1 hour for the programming to take place. 1st visit: they… could not get the key to program. I was asked to leave the car for the full day the next day and they would program it. I was asked to pay the full bill after the 1st visit which I did. At the end of the 2nd day, the key was still not programmed and I was told the issue is with my car, not the key fob. I'm not questioning the diagnosis, but upon learning I needed to spend another $800+ I did not want/need the 2nd key fob. When I asked to refund the invoice, I was offered $187 return for a $500+ bill. Having said that, I had my car in service on Nov 27 & 28. I did not realize the inspection sticker expired on Nov 30. So.... My car was in the dealership's possession for a full day and no one noticed my inspection was expiring in a couple of days. I am disappointed because: 1. The dealership offered a refund that is unacceptable to me. 2. Unlike dealerships that offer better service, this one didn't notice my registration and inspection were days from expiration. I would have been grateful if the service department had a simple checklist for service needs that would have identified this. My salesperson, Brenda S.was very helpful and provided good communication and follow up. Pricing was very fair and… reasonable. Since I was located 300 miles away and unable to view the vehicle in person, more photos of the vehicle would have helpful, but otherwise, I had a very smooth and easy purchase. Transport from the airport was a nice service.Always great service!

My SA, Richard, kept in contact with me constantly regarding time of completion.… Conception, one of the bay attendants, helped me when I showed up early and Richard was gone. Although, it's not his job, he knew the status of my vehicle. The waiting area is gorgeous, clean and comfortable. Thanks DMD!Disappointing and untrustworthy.
by Madi1974 on 09/11/2015After spending a few months talking to someone in Sales, explaining my dislike of the car-buying process, explaining the problems I had with buying my previous Lincoln, I gave this dealership a shot. I told him that I was shocked that in… my previous experience a dealer had dropped over $100 a month in payments during a bidding war and that I was already distrusting of car sales people. The gentleman at David McDavid assured me I was in good hands this time around, that no one can beat their prices because they do so much volume. The time came to get a new car and he gave me his price. My gut told me something was not right, so I checked with another dealer. David McDavid of Plano was over $4000 more over the life of the 3 year lease. I was floored. And you know what? The guy had the nerve to come back and offer me a better price than I got at the other dealership. Why didn't you just give it to me in the first place? Car buying should not be a game to see who you can milk for the most money, even if you are a luxury car dealership. I felt cheated and I will never trust these people again. He knew I was a smart consumer, that I did my homework and he still did this. I went with the other dealership who gave me a much better price without having to negotiate and I will never look back. Brian P. was our sales representative, and he was super patient (I can be a handful… when it comes to making major purchases). I was very appreciative that he did not do the typical fast/over talking sales pitch routine (a major turn off for me). He Listened to our needs, asked us valid questions, and did not try to up sale (Major Plus). Long story short, we left with 2 new vehicles. Our finance representative was very thorough, professional and patient. He presented us with protection coverages, we asked questions, he listened & answered, and we chose the best plan for us; end of story! (I wish I could remember his name). I found David McDavid Lincoln when I relocated from NC to Plano. I was looking for a dealership to service my vehicle, and I had the same professional and courteous experience each time I visited the service department. Ed Guza is the representative that I call on when I need to get my vehicle serviced; however, I honestly do not think that anyone can go wrong with any of the staff at McDavid. Buyer Kansas

We drove 375 miles to buy a new MKC we had dealt for thru the internet. I understand why they sell more Lincolns than anyone else in… Texas (and probably Oklahoma and Kansas). They want your business. I can't begin to say enough good things about them. Once we got there, everything was just as expected thru communications on line and over the phone. They even gave us a good deal on a trade-in sight unseen. Beautiful facility and friendly people. When your local dealer says "they can't do any better", check with these guys.
