My first Lincoln

He put me in the MKC and I was hooked. I loved the car and he did everything he promised to… get me in the car I wanted. It was a non-stressful experience and a far better one than my last 4 Honda purchases!Great experience...

We were never pressured and were allowed to spend over a year trying new combinations to come to the best deal that we could make for us. We were not even hassled… in the finance office. The most hassle free buying experience that I have ever had! We got the exact car that we wanted and there was never any attempt to upsell, change to a different vehicle, add anything on, etc. Just the way you'd want it to work in a perfect world!Service Review

I drove the vehicle in, advised the services to be done, the service representative advised of two minor things to consider and they performed all… the necessary work in a short time. The car is now ready to drive on an extended trip this weekend and for additional months. The work performed was done professionally, promptly and accurately. I am impressed with the services received at this dealership by both the service writer and the mechanic performing the services. The car has now been inspected, serviced and ready to drive. It really is comforting for a dealership to be so clean and provide impressive work at various levels of expertise.Thank you for the 5 star review. by Huntseat on 12/27/2012updated 06/06/2025I always start shopping online, then if the deal is good I will investigate further...it's always saved me thousands. I have never, I mean never had a dealer give me a drop-my-jaw price right out of the gate until Dec 20th 2012. I started… by internet shopping and got back a few quotes that made me call a few other dealerships but had I started at David McDavid Lincoln of Plano I could have saved myself several days of thinking I was heading toward a good deal with the competition. I have never in all my car shopping years had a no frills GREAT price quoted the first time. Being raised with dealership owners as neighbors I've always been told stories of the "dance" as the salesman races back and forth to the sales manager. Still being cautious of such an amazing price quote I arrived at the dealership the next night, Friday after work and driving a few hundred miles (passing a dozen Lincoln dealers along the way.) To my sheer delight the sales staff was waiting with everything done, I mean I was in and out in ONE hour with everything signed sealed and inspected. I always expect the hard sell at the end and extras added at the last minute (they'll lure you in with a great price but add extras back to the deal to make their money) but not at this dealership. To have people respect my time, money and not treat me like the young female buyer that I am was truly amazing. I mean in the past it's taken hours to get all the paperwork completed and take off in my new ride, but I hadn't expected the level of professionalism and respect that is clearly the norm here at David McDavid. I was never pressured or treated how other dealerships treat women. I left feeling empowered with my new Navigator in exactly one hour. I was able to meet friends at a local resturant for dinner at a reasonable hour and do some Christmas shopping in my new sleigh before heading back home. I did find a bulb burned out (defective bulb) upon arriving at home that night. I drove back to the dealership the day before Christmas and again with the utmost respect for my time, they had it returned to me in just under thirty minutes with no questions asked. It's been my experience in the past to have about ten minutes of paperwork with the service writer then you sit and wait another ten minutes to finally see your car moved from the service drive, not here! Again, to my utter surprise it was wisked away without a question or hesitation about the nature of the visit. It's rare that I say nice things about car dealerships but I have to say that David McDavid Plano Lincoln is a truly rare gem in a field of shifty-eyed salesmen looking for a quick buck. The best part is that my mother was treated the exact same way when she went to buy her MKT, the sales staff treated her better than I would have and my mother is the apple of my eye. They have gained an entire family of business for life and we buy cars, lots of cars. Best experience ever.A pleasent experience

by cmudry on 09/21/2011updated 06/06/2025I found a used car on the internet that I was interested in on September 13. I talked and emailed Dean about the car at least 15 times over about 7 days. I had him verify whether the vehicle had a sunroof, navigation, power and heated… seats. He said he would have to go out and look at the vehicle. He called me back and said yes. After looking at it on the website more, I called and asked him again if it had navigation and he said yes. He also said it had power and heated seats along with a sunroof. Then right before we drove for 1-1/2 hours to get there last night, I called to verify he still had the car and he said yes. When we arrive, Dean says they sold the car 2 weeks ago, but had another one on the lot that didin't have the sunroof or navigation. But, the car on the lot WAS the one on their website because I had the print off and the stock numbers matched. He said they did have another vehicle with those features but it was $7000 more expensive. Deans boss came out and said Dean made a mistake. Really? A mistake happens once. Dean told me more than once that the vehicle had the options I was looking for. Those were lies. This was clearly a bait and switch. I thought those days were over. This is exactly why I HATE to buy cars from dealerships.Dear customer, Next time you have to deal with DEAN or anyone else at this dealership at all locations just call and ask to talk to ROBERT H. at the Arlington office and you will not have any more problems with anyone. He is customer service excellence at its best. He will not put up with this kind of child play.
Not a good experience...

I drove from Tulsa, OK to purchase a pre-owned Certified Lincoln MKZ from David Mcdavid Lincoln and everything seemed to be going smoothly.... until we were sat down to sign financial paperwork. Our sales person was Susan… N. but she really didn't do anything we mostly dealt with David L. over the phone and in person as he was our finance guy as well as our sales man. When we began signing for the car we were told we would have to finance our tags and taxes which was not to big of deal with the exception that they charged us 1300.00 when in reality it was only 700.00 in oklahoma but they apparently did not know how to figure other states taxes even though they are readily available online. Once we had left their lot and had driven almost all of the way home we noticed the speakers in our new Certified car were blown so naturally we called David L. to ask what he was going to do to fix them, his reply was it is part of the certification and it can be fixed at any Lincoln dealership (shouldn't it have been checked there while being certified??) second we have had to take the car in for suspension issues once again something they should have checked during certification. Apparently they do not check their cars at all just label them certified for quicker sale and move on. Now back to this overcharge on tags and taxes, we were notified that our tag agency had the check and title and we could come buy and pick up our tag... great right?? Yes with exception to the fact that they only sent a check for 700.00.... Well we called David L. and every other person that we could think of and no one would answer or call back.. We were shocked we just wanted the money they took from us and they were not acknowledging we existed. Two days later we get a call and the lady was very rude telling us it was not a mistake it is the way they do business and that they were cutting a check to the lender in a day or two??? Why would they not cut the two checks on the same day?? Why is the check going to Lender?? But leaving my payment and interest where I signed this is crazy. Apparently they were going to keep our 700.00 until we noticed and called WOW... Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT shop here unless you want a VERY VERY bad experience dee all of the other reviews people have left we are not the only people unhappy with this dealership. by pdzeller on 06/02/2014updated 06/06/2025I've worked with Richard A. from the service shop twice and have had a positive experience both times. Richard is highly consultative, helps you weigh your options, and doesn't push anything unnecessary. Unlike other dealerships and shops… I've visited, each service manager owns the relationship with the customer, and you aren't just another nameless customer. I should also note that I drive an 11 year old Ford; not a Lincoln. Both Fords and Lincolns use Motorcraft replacement parts, and this shop is highly experienced and comfortable with Ford repairs, and has comparable labor rates to Ford shops in town. In other words, this place doesn't give the "Cadillac tax" that you find on comparable GM products (Escalade vs. Yukon/Tahoe, etc). I came in last week with a sound coming from the rear of my car that I was pretty certain had to do with the hub. Another shop in town diagnosed it as a differential issue and proposed a $3000 fix. I wasn't convinced. I brought it in, described the symptom, and Richard put his most senior technician on diagnosis duty. He called back later that morning and followed up with an email that prioritized all of my repairs (safety related, due soon, and recommended based on mileage). We determined that 2 needed to be completed immediately (neither were the original diagnosis) and I authorized the shop to start on them right away. Richard called back that afternoon explaining that the part that arrived was DOA (clearly not their fault, and I appreciate them for not installing a faulty part) and they'd have to give me a loaner for the night at their expense. No run around, no acting like it was my fault; full accountability was accepted by the shop. There were some logistics issues with shipping the replacement part, so it ended up not showing up until late the second day, so I kept the loaner for another day. Again, not the shop's fault, I just want to clarify my comment that the work wasn't completed on time. The third day, I got my car back, and the sound we had diagnosed was gone! Richard even offered to have the tech go for a ride with me if the sound ever came back. Now that's good service! Even though they're a bit (sometimes even a lot) more expensive than local mom & pop shops, the quality of customer service, level of experience and knowledge of the employees, and convenience makes this shop my go-to.Thank you for the 5 star review!
