Can’t thank Eddie Frazier and William Houston from Van Hyundai enough for helping us with our first Hyundai purchase. They were quick to respond and made things pleasant and easy. Eddie made perfect recommendations according to our needs, requirements and budget.

  • Great experience

5 out of 5 starsby CarlFromDallas on 06/01/2017

Our Salesman Mike was very accommodating with fulfilling my needs for a car with a black leather interior with a gray exterior. . We were offered a few extra 'add-ons' which we declined but accepted the electronics warranty which makes sense with all of the electronics on board. I know the problems I have had with my cell phone, home computer etc. The car is similar The Hyundai Elantra is a great car with more connectivity features than I expected.. Very happy
    • Thanks for your review, Carl! It was a pleasure getting to assist you, and we wish you all the best in your cool new ride!

  • Great Buying Experience!

5 out of 5 starsby KevinBman on 05/12/2017

Mike Abelino and Jacob Rogers did a fantastic job of responding to exactly what I wanted. They stayed in contact and were very responsive. I got the exact car I wanted at a great price. I completed everything from out-of-state and then flew in to finalize everything. Top notch service! I would buy from this dealership again and will recommend them to anyone I know that is shopping for a car!
    • Thanks so much, Kevin! We had a great time assisting you, and hope you love your new ride! Thanks for giving us a chance, and don't hesitate to reach out to us any time!

  • Wish they had a 0 star rating!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I just bought a used car there and am now stuck not being able to drive it due to the non-disclosed problems it has. The salesman was OK but the 'manager' I dealt with almost lost the sale. None of the problems it has was disclosed at the time of sale. During the test drive we noticed the cluster was broken and when we asked the manager about replacing it, we were told the dealership couldn't afford to fix it. They did agree to check the oil pressure sending unit since it was showing low oil pressure but once I took possession of the vehicle, it all went down hill. I've had contact with the finance guy for a couple days saying they wanted to make things right but all contact has disappeared when I told them I didn't trust driving it that far and couldn't afford a tow after the down payment was made. From my experience so far, this dealership is the biggest joke I have ever seen. I really wish I had taken the time to read reviews but checking it out was a spur of the moment thing. Never again!!

  • Horrible sales person and his manager Jacob!

1 out of 5 starsby armanrahman on 11/11/2015

Called to get pricing then Tony the sales associates leaves and goes home after telling me that he will call me back, called to speak to his manager and Jacob is not helpful either tells me his job is not to provide the best price for customers and I need to come in to get pricing, and started arguing with me. Great customer service guys. Please do not go there to buy cars. Share with everyone. I left message for GM to call me to address the lack of customer service let's see how bad he is. Update as soon as I hear from him. Well if u want someone to argue with call Jacob!

Paul Hayes was the perfect salesman for me! No pressure and not pushy. He answered most of my questions and got answers for the ones he didn't know the answer to. I highly recommend Paul and Van Hyundai!

We walked in and test drove the Santa Fe. They knew we were looking at other vehicles. There was no pressure or stress to buy from them. Once we did decide to go with Hyundai, everything was simple and easy. Great experience! Will definitely go back.

  • Above and beyond service

    5 out of 5 starsby dcmitchell42 on 01/13/2015

I was taken care of from the start to the end of my service experience. This is the first time a dealer shuttle service asked if I needed a ride back to the dealer to pick up my vehicle when it was ready. This saved me a lot of time on my part. Another GREAT experience at Van Hyundai.
  • Pleasant no pressure experience ... dealership needs renovation

Van Hyundai is a small dealership in Carrollton area of DFW. I bought a 2013 Hyundai Genesis from them in Feb 2014. I worked with a Stevie van Pelt on the deal. Having owned mostly Toyotas in the past i wasnt sure what to expect at Hyundai and i was pleasantly surprised. The transaction was pretty smooth. Got the car, a fair price (in my mind) and the finance guy didnt up sell - actually i asked about some of the warranty etc offered and then declined. Having said that the dealership needs a major update, they need to expand and upgrade their interiors. Hope they take notice and do something about it.

I stopped by to test drive a new 2009 Genesis and the test drive went OK except that it took 45 min to go through 4 sets of keys before they found the correct keys. I test drove 2 other makes and was most impressed with the Genesis. As I was serious about purchasing a Genesis, I found a coupon on the official Van Hyundai web site for $4000 off any Genesis. I called them up and the sales rep didn't seem familiar with the web site but said he would check if I could hold on. I waited ~10 min. and he returned and said that the fine print at the bottom said that other restrictions may apply. He said that other restrictions do indeed apply and the coupon will not be honored. I found the car I wanted elsewhere for $4000 off MSRP

I recently purchased a used 2007 Ford F-150 from Van Hyndai. During the sale, I noticed several small indicators that the truck had been in an accident. I was assured from my salesman that it had not, he even showed me the Carfax report showing that it had never been in a wreck. I felt better after seeing the report and continued with the sale. During the finance portion of the sale...(i had already arranged financing thru my bank) I purchased a 3rd party warranty policy for $1500.00. I was supposed to recieve a membership card in the mail in approx. 30 days enabling me to fix any mechanical problems that came up for a 100.00 deductable. After 3 months I have yet to recieve my membership card, and I called the place where it was supposed to be issued from and they say they have no record of me as a member. After I brought the truck home we started noticing small details that indicated a wreck... Glass in the carpet, and in the grooves in the dash. Weatherstriping coming loose on the passenger side, trim and molding coming loose on the passenger side, the passenger seat not completly bolted down, and now the radio/cd/clock resets every time the engine shuts off. This past week, I took the truck to a friend of mine that owns an auto repair shop, and he confirmed that the truck was in a MAJOR passenger side impact collision, he showed me where the bed had been re-welded, and where the frame around the passenger side door was still bent. I have tried several times to contact Van Hyundai to get this issue resolved, and they will not return my phone calls. I will be filinig a formal complaint with the BBB. Do not buy anything from these guys...I have read several blogs about their tactics. You want to stay away.
  • STAY AWAY...Dishonest Sales Tactics

My boyfriend found this cute little Corolla to buy for me, checked it out and it seemed fine. He had me run a carfax on it and that came back clean. Well, when he brought me back there, the sales lady kept asking him if he "found" anything different and was very concerned about this. He said no and she asked if he was sure and he said yes. Well, I have experience in shopping for used cars, where he does not and I began to review the vehicle. I immediately found several signs that the vehicle had been in an accident. Both the front and back as well as the sides had issues. When I pointed them out she just stated that she would fix them for a fee. Which is odd, usually when looking at a car when you find issues and they are unwilling to adjust the price they promise to fix not charge you additional for issues. Then I popped the hood, some components had been replaced with cheaper parts and some not replaced at all. The deep and narrow dents in the front had been very clear signs that it had been in a head-on collision which could have imploded the airbag with is un-fixable. Also, this would negate any so-called warranty left on the vehicle. I basically stated that the car had been in the accident and that the price should reflect this. She said no because since the carfax does not state this she can sell at perfect value and could fetch more at an auction. Which I laughed at because any dealer would know this car was bad. I watched several people walk up to the car, see the evidence and immediately walk away. Also, she thought I was stupid because she tried to say that NADA certified and inspected the car as clean. Since I have used NADA's service, I know that there is a feature that let's you put in the VIN and it "ONLY" pulls the make, model and features on the car; it is not an inspection. I immediately let her know that I knew this and told her that it was a lie and that this car has not been inspected and I knew that the system was doing. I even showed her how to read this 1/2 page report, which does not come anywhere near inspection and it is certainly not certified. We left the dealership and I immediately put comments on the CARFAX and contacted CARFAX personally about the missing accident. What was really sad, was that we were a cash deal.
  • Typical Dealership Mentality

    2 out of 5 starsby andy1645 on 12/15/2008

My initial experience with this dealership was via email, then by phone and the first 2 people were determined to sell me on a more expensive Sonata...trying to tell me I can get a 2009 Sonata for the same amount as I'm looking at spending on an Elantra SE and the Sonata has the same features as base package. This is a LIE. Do your homework on Hyundai's site as well as Edmunds.com and ConsumerReports.org (requires a well worth-it annual membership). We decided to go in and look around and promptly spent 3 hours at this dealership and came away with an awful feeling of, "Same old song and dance." The sales lady was nice enough and although I certainly felt the typical pressure to "sign up now" she was not unusually bad. However, when it came time to "Just talk numbers" with their so-called finance manager, this was a different story. This guy was one of the fastest-talking Texan's I've ever met. Either he was in a massive hurry or he was just real good at fast-talking details that are necessary for the customer to know. He tried to persuade us that our credit score was too bad to get a good interest rate so he attempted to sell us on 11.9%. This was an insult and pathetic so I said, "No". When I told him I'd be happy with more like 6.9 he disappears and reappears a few minutes later with paperwork all filled out with me at 7.9%. When I asked him how we suddenly qualified for 7.9 when before we only qualified for 11.9 he gave me a story about his GM being willing to "buy up" the difference. After several more emphatic, "NO's" (they never accept "No" at face value) I walked out. I asked the sales lady on my way out, "Had I signed up at 11.9, who would have gotten the difference between the 7.9 and the 11.9??" She tried to dodge and say she doesn't work with the numbers at all so doesn't know the answer to this. I did not believe her, either, and told her that while I can tolerate a lot of things, I have almost zero tolerance for what I considered to be, lying. I am not saying they lied - just that I believed they did. I know our credit history and scores and will find out later today from our own bank just what our scores really do qualify us for.
  • Buyer Beware

I am not here to complain about the car buying experience but rather how I was treated after the sale. I bought a 2011 Hyundai 2 weeks ago. I have nothing but good news to report. Hyundai has really improved their product. The problem starts with the when I filled out the survey from Hyundai about the transaction . One of the questions asked was did the Sales Professional work with me or did he work with other customers at the same time. James did work with other people which did not bother me. But it was a question which I answered honestly. Another question that I answered was how long after I closed the deal did it take the finance department to see me. It took another 2 hours. It's a sales tatic to try to get you to buy stuff you dont need. It take the finance guy a long time because he likes to draw pictures and make and try to sell you on a warranty and other stuff which isnt really necessar unless you like throwing money away. Oh yeah SKY LINK was sold on the car and it does not lower your insurance. It's a scam and they make you purchase it regardless if you want it or not. There is something illegal about that... I took my car back on 3/19 to have it fully detailed and was attacked by James Carr. James asked me why did I throw him under the bus? I told him I didn t. He then said how could you do that man? James Carr followed me giving me dirty looks as I asked for a manager not knowing where the situation was escalating. I then spoke with Josh Kubicki who apologized then told me Iwould not have to deal with James Carr again and to go the customer waiting area and he would take care of my car. That s when Jakob Waldbusser and Kris Panagakis followed me to the Customer waiting area. Jakob basically defended James Carr actions. He told me nothing he said would change how I already felt about the dealership and we should part as friends and go our separate ways. (one problem I still don t have my tags) He continued to talk condescending to me as Kris gave me dirty looks. It is a bit intimidating when you have two very large guys on each side and one guy is talking down to me in front of my child. I spoke with Hyundai and they said they appologized and said the dealer will mail my tags to my home so there is not another confrontation. Honestly all he had to say is he was sorry for the confrontation and it would never happen again but Jakob couldnt do that because he is not professional I have bought 12 cars in the past and I have never had a dealer disrespect me and certainly not in front of my family. This dealer cares nothing about its customers once the sale has been made. Think twice about buyer here also check the service department. It is filthy an looks very scetchy.

I went there to look for a 2009 Hyundai Elantra that was listed online, one of the sales rep came back and said they were sold out of 2009s. They were out of ALL the 09s!! The rep said he had a 2010 for $500 more. I thought ok, may be they are trying to hand me a more expensive car, but i will look at it. So we went for a 15 minutes test drive and I liked it. We came back and started negotiating on the price. Since this was the first dealer that I had gone to, I was just looking at a bottomline price and wasn't ready to purchase until I looked at other dealers too. I asked what was the best price he could give me. The sales rep (Steve Van Pelt) went back and forth from his manager's office and came with a price. When I said I would have to think about the price and would have to look at other dealers too, the sales manager (Kris Panagakis) came and asked us why we were not buying the car that night, i told him the same reason. Then Kris Panagakis started insulting us and shouting why we had wasted 1 hour of their time test driving and asking about the price. Then, he started yelling at us and told us to "GET OUT" . We were shocked !! Why would a sales manager, Kris Panagakis, yell at his customers if they were trying to negotiate a price ?? Then Kris went back to his office where there were other managers too. When we went to confront Kris Panagakis why he had mistreated us so badly when we were just looking at a fixed bottomline price. All the other managers that were in the office at that time started hounding at us and told us to "GET OUT" !! [violative content deleted] Is this the customer service that Van Hyundai provides?? I was looking forward to buying the car if we could negotiate the price, but Kris RUINED the experience for us. I am never going back to this dealer and will not recommend it to anybody else!! NEGATIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
    • A very similar thing happened to me 10 years ago at a Nissan Dealer. I was totally shocked because the dealership had CALLED me to tell me they had the car I was looking for (they didn't when I was there the first time) and so I went to look at it and it wasn't at all what I wanted. The sales guy and manager both yelled at me for wasting their time, when in fact they wasted my time. They told me never to come to their dealership again! I was completely taken aback and told them not to worry because I'd let everyone I know know never to set foot at their dealership. These are the kinds of car sales people that give them all a bad name/reputation. I HATE the car buying experience due to sleazy sales people like this. Unacceptable!! I certainly won't waste my time going to this Hyundai dealership.

We visited and test drove two cars. The salesman was friendly, courteous and not high pressure. Although in line with Dallas' dealer prices, their offer was significantly higher than two Fort Worth dealers.

No pressure, just left you waiting for hours and wore you down to the point that you completed the transaction just to get out of the place. The only time we saw the actual final tally was when we signed papers.

I bought a 2011 Sonata from here back in February. They gave me more then I expected for my trade-in. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Im honestly shocked the reviews on the website aren't better. I mostly worked with Billy Kelley & he was very knowledgeable, he got me exactly what I wanted. The process was quick (for buying a car). Every time I take the car in for an oil change it's very quick! Ive never had any problems at all. I recommend Billy and this dealership to ALL of my family & friends and when it's time to buy a new car again I will definitely be buying from this dealership!

My mother needed a new car and we have heard Hyundai is building a great car these days with the best warranty you can get. So we went to Hyundai's website and did a build your own and had it forwarded to local dealers. We were contacted by a salesperson from van who emailed us a price that we thought was fair. So we went to meet with him and they gave us the price we were quoted and even offered to go to Oklahoma to get the color we wanted. We bought the one they had in stock and we really felt that they made very efficient use of our time. Over all this was the best dealership experience my mother and I have ever had!
  • Not even with Costco discount you get a good pricing

I went to the dealer referred by the Costco auto program. Got there saw a car I liked everything was going smooth until We got to the pricing. The have the costco discount about $1.200 but then after that a series of installs you did not ordered and things that actually make you pay more even with the costco discount. I went to a Dealer in Irving and got the car right there almost for a $1.500 less than they were offering me with not pressure and no games. I would not recommend this dealer. They did not seem honest.
