    Car trouble anytime is, of course, never fun but when it occurs 1500 miles from home it is a real bummer! Visiting Austin from South Dakota I found my Ridgeline in need of some front end work to get me home. I was fortunate to find your dealership and in particular Trudy who was the consumate customer service rep. Friendy and competant. The needed repairs were completed on schedule and I was, as Willie would say, back "On the Road Again" headed north. Thanks Trudy!

    From the moment we drove in and met our Service Advisor Jay, we felt at home. We traveled 90 miles one way for this service. It was worth the trip and First Texas Honda will be our first choice for major service. We were treated promptly and with respect. We completely understood what was needed and the associated cost. Great experience.

    My car broke down at Barton Creek Mall on A Saturday and they took in my car and gave me a rental to use till my car was fixed. They were polite and gave great customer service and very helpful. Will always go there from now and will recommend 1st Texas Honda to all my friends and family!
  • Making a deal was quick and painless

    Edwin Martinez assisted us with what we were looking for. He was very informative about the Mazda CX3 and the best thing about his approach was that he was not pushy about the deal which made the experience so much better. We actually went to Honda to look at the Honda HR-V and ended up going back to Mazda because the deal was much better and the whole dealing experience was much better. When we picked up the car Edwin took time to show us all the features about the car. We also dealt with Ann Krogsund in Finance on making the deal. She listen to my concerns and requests and was able to put a figure on the table we were willing to take. Finally Lewis Machen in finance was the one that worked with us on all the paperwork and he was easy and pleasant to work with. He told us about all the extra warranties, etc but was not pushy about us needing them. We dealt with some finance people that really try to push all those extra sell on you and it is annoying. We appreciate everyone professional attitude and making this a painless experience.

  • Waste of time-false promises by Jeff Cox

    No Integrity: This dealership has the worst management and is not built on the right principles. Jeff Cox told us that he was going to match a deal found at a different dealership if we came to First Texas Honda. We drove all the way there only waste our time and find out they were off by $1000.00. They have no respect for a customers time or money. I will never ever step foot in this dealership again. Don't believe what the sales team tells you, they just want you to come into the dealership and will do/say anything to do so. We had been speaking to Jeff on the phone and via text most the day hence had confirmed that they would match the price of the car beforehand, I wish he would have respected our time and had spoken with the manager before hand to discuss the whole matching situation alas we wasted more than an hour at the dealership before they even told us that they wouldn't be able to make the deal. Never again. If I could give no stars, if I could.
    • **UPDATE**: Genny thank you for your comment but I would like to disagree with it for the below reasons. Jeff Cox already had known competitive out-the door price we received from your competition. He had agreed to match it which was the only reason why we even drove all the way to that dealership. Either way, we drove to San Marcos today and got the brand new car at that price from dealership which operates on much more integrity. They respected us, they were very efficient which is appreciated. As soon as we got to Gillman Honda, the sales rep had the car ready for us along with the agreed upon cost agreement. (There were NO additional cost at Gillman Honda to the out-the-door price like your dealership claimed they would do). I would like to say that for a dealership that likes to advertise Haggle free and Hassle free services, First Texas Honda was definitely a lot of Hassle. :/

    • The customer who complained had a phone conversation with our salesperson asking if we would match a competitive price on a new Honda. Our salesperson asked what was the price we needed to match? The customer responded by saying he would reveal the price he had when he arrived at our dealership. Shortly after the customer arrived, our salesperson asked to see the quote. The price was from a dealer that is known to quote an "out-the-door" price only to add American Honda's "destination" charge of $835 after the fact. When we said we wouldn't be able to match the quote as presented without being itemized the customer became very angry and made a threat saying that "we need to be afraid." It is the policy of First Texas Honda to conduct it's business with the highest level of integrity and transparency. We provide all customers a competitive "hassle free" price up front without any additional hidden charges. Some customers ask for an additional discount and if we cannot accommodate their request, we are still professional and respectful. We regret whenever that happens but we do have a business to run. We feel that asking a customer to provide an itemized quote from a competitor, especially those that are known to add hidden charges is reasonable and is simply good business.

    I was really not looking for a Honda but in comparing many cars over a two week period I visited numerous dealers. Yasha was a young but very mature salesman. He listened to my needs and was very efficient when comparing models and pricing. The financial experience was also polite, professional and efficient. It was clear on each visit that everyone there works well together and all were very complimentary of one another. It was refreshing to see a team work together in a healthy environment where it was clear that their enthusiasm and camaraderie was genuine.

    Probably the best experience I've ever had going into a dealership. Their staff was very pleasant, helpful, and not too aggressive. I feel like I was treated fairly and with the out most respect. I want to thank First Texas Honda for such a great experience. I would definitely come back to get another car from these guys!

  • Straight Shooters Who Put their Best Offer Up Front

    Working with Ryan and Jacob was a pleasure as they allowed us to take our time deciding what we wanted and whether the deal was solid. I did my homework with three other dealers in the area and found First Texas' "no haggle" offer is fair and competitive with offers through Consumers' Report, Edmund's, and Kelley. Their extended warranty if you're interested--no hard sell--is longer and as as comprehensive as Honda's generic plan. First Texas was worth the battle with northbound Mopac from south of the river!

    The Service Dept. at First Texas Honda took care of the 2014 Honda Accord rattle problem and rectified it satisfactorily. The service was performed within the promised time. The Service Advisor explained the problem and what was done for the repair. Thanks for the timely service.

    Work done in a timely manner. Comfortable and will furnished waiting area. Reviewed with me all work performed and provided me with a list of items to consider for future attention. They set a standard of service that all dealers strive to meet.

  • Beware! Damaged car sold as new

    My shopping experience was wonderful. After a few years finally started reading in Austin and I found my trunk full of water each time I was driving. Took car back to the dealership and they showed me how someone had bumped the car, then taped it with duct tape then sprayed over to match the color. There was a broken vent that allowed water in the trunk. They they suggested the neighbor hit my car in the driveway and repair it without me knowing about it. This is utterly ridiculous. I had to insist to have them fix the car for you or I would sue them. I would never buy another car from them ever again dishonest.

    Such a wonderful experience with Kyle and purchasing my 2016 Honda Accord. He answered all my questions, was very pleasant and the entire experience was not intimidating or uncomfortable. I would purchase another vehicle from him anytime. I highly recommend him and the dealership as everyone I encountered was very pleasant. If I ever decide to trade in and purchase another new Honda, this is the place to go !

    Just bought the new Honda 2015 Pilot and am super happy with the performance. I had the car in to service for som additions that I purchased with the car and service department is very efficient, open till 7:00 pm and gave me loaner car. Workmanship was great..so far, my Honda experience from sales, service and car performance exceeds my expectations..very pleased

    My last car was a 2003 Odyssey Van with 209,890 miles which I loved. My college student graduates in 12 days and it was time for a new car and downsize so I have been looking for a CRV and I drove home an EXL and I love it. Handles beautifully but the buying experience was indeed a no haggle but my price here was less expensive the two other dealers one other locally and one out of town. Jacob Scott and his Shadow (trainee) Ryan did a great job listening to me tell them what I wanted to see and test drive. Great dealership! Would definitely recommend! See Jacob even if he is a Houston Rocket fan!

    I have bought many new cars in my lifetime from several major local dealerships and had good experiences, but this was the best experience yet, and I will highly recommend First Texas Honda. The sales people are knowledgeable and can give financial and technical dats on the spot- no pressure. They can close the deal with having to get without the financial manager and save a lot of time. The dealership is large with a great coffee bar for waiting. Test driving around the location is much easier than the I 35 mess. I expect the service to be comparable to the sales..which is outstanding..

    Just bought my second Honda from First Texas Honda. Knew exactly what I wanted and set up an appointment ahead of time so my trade in could be appraised as I was test driving the new car. Seamless process - out the door in less than 2 1/2 hours. My salesman Brad was friendly and professional. I live in Round Rock but had no hesitation to drive down to First Texas Honda for their "no haggle" pricing.

    Aaron DuBoise made the purchase of my CR -V an enjoyable experience. He was patient as I flipped from model to model, and when, after an hour, I mentioned a completely different car he did not wince at all. His professionalism was impeccable and the CR-V is fantastic!
