    When I first arrived at Gene Messer Ford service I had an appointment. However, it took several minutes to finally get one of the service team members to wait on me. They first had to argue about who was responsible for waiting on me, while only one of them appeared to be on the phone. The rest of them did not appear to be busy at all.I immediately explained that this was a fleet vehicle for the State of Texas, but when I told the representative, Jeremy that it needed to be under the company name, he told me that was too long and put it under my name. I also explained to him that I would probably need to leave it for a few days after it was finished because I live very far from the dealership. He told me that would be fine. However, when he called me to let me know that the vehicle was finished, he was very rude that I had not picked up my vehicle yet. When I did go to the dealership to pick up my vehicle, there was tax on the ticket. When I explained to him that there should not be tax on the ticket due to it being a government vehicle, he said it was because I had told him to put it under my name. I explained to him that I did not tell him to put it under my name. He was rude and frustrated because the voyager card would not work. He finally took me to the ladies in the back office who were very kind and helpful. But it took over 30 minutes just to pay out and pick up my vehicle. When I left, no one told me where the vehicle was parked. I had to wander all over the parking lot to look for it. When I got in the vehicle, it had two low tires. So much for a multi point inspection.

    We were traveling from Dallas to Colorado for a ski week and stayed in Amarillo overnight. When we arrived I knew my truck had a problem. The next morning I called the Gene Messer service dept. and they immediately told me to come over. I met with Damien Gregor, he took a ride in my truck and immediately told me it needed to be looked at. They found out we were traveling and immediately got my truck back for diagnosis. There were some serious brake and suspension issues. It took them a 1-1/2 days, but got my truck fixed! Damien kept me apprised of the progress on a regular basis. I have never had a dealership service group treat me the way Damien did! They were awesome. The mechanic even took me in the shop and showed me the issues!

    This went well. I was kept informed of progress and concerns for my F250. I was even taken out to the bay and shown what was needing to be done. Given a ride home and when work was completed was called by my service advisor Danny and he sent Juan to pick me up at my house. These are both good men and very knowledgeable. They are excellent representatives of Gene Messer Ford.

    Damian was wonderfully helpful. He did tell me that it could be a long wait but he did every thing he could to get me in and out quickly. I appreciated the waiting area as I had my 1 year old son with me. The waiting area had a baby corral so my son was able to keep himself entertained without being in anyone’s hair.

  • Engine Replacement

    Needed a complete engine replacement due to a manufacturing defect. Took almost 3 months to repair due to parts being on backorder, but they kept me in a loaner the entire time. My service advisor was a man named Damien Gregg and he kept me informed the entire time.

    Very Disappointing service. I called before and asked if I needed to make a appointment for a oil change one on the service staff said no you don't as long as your here before 4:30. I came in before that time and the service guy on the Very end next to the lobby said what can I help you with. I told him a oil change and he said with a rude and smart attitude of you know how much work we have and do i want to come back another day. I informed him I did as I was instructed and now your backing out on me after I left work early. The service rep then insuated that I was a liar and began asking the other service staff if I called them. Then he gets so rude and frustrated that the other tech Ryan Very professionally stepped in and said sir I'm very sorry I can help you. The add coupon I received wouldnt be honored by Gene Messer Ford for the oil change. It was still current and it came directly from my dealer which I found to be not only bait and switch but very disappointing. Ryan the tech was great, and rectified the situation as best he could. Never thought I would get that kind of service, my family and I bought so many new cars from them.

    Horrible. Worse experience with my vehicle. I would rather drive to another town before bringing my vehicle to this location. On a scheduled service for my vehicle it took 15 days of it sitting in the lot to get in shop. When asked if I could come get vehicle and bring it back when there was an opening they said ( you will go to the bottom of list). Once it go into the shot took 2 hours to diagnose and another 6 days to fix the part that was informed to (me was in house). So after 21 days I went to pick my vehicle up and it was dead. The battery’s were completely drained even tho it was started less than a hour prior. Then when I got into the vehicle to see if it was fixed to my surprise after 21 days it was still there. I looked at paper work again and the mechanic said ( can’t hear noise) so I drove it up to the service doors and got the shop supervisor in the truck and he informed me he could hear it plain as day. He took it around with a mechanic then while I waited I told my service rep who supposedly called me every other day ( is a lie) I called him and half the time would not answer. Told me there is no way it was dead like I was wrong. So I informed him to look at the cameras. He I guess got mad and left the building. The supervisor came back in apologized and got me a car ( only plus part to the hole experience hints the 1 star) and told me he would get it fixed the next day.
