He sent a photo of the loose cable. We left the car for several… days as we traveled out of town. He drove the car on several days to make sure the system was repaired properly. Easy tire replacement

Buyer beware.... they do not follow thru on warranty issues
by Christine on 09/21/2024We have been trying for over a year to have the defective paint fixed. It continues to deteriorate day in and day out. It is a KNOWN defect. Autonation has been a nightmare to deal with and the corporate office hasn't been much help… either. Promised calls from the Regional and General Manager have never been received. Buyer beware, once you drive off the lot you are on your own even with a new car warranty. Fyi....we purchased 5 cars in the past with this dealership but NEVER againHi Christine, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. Good Service, Great Service Adviser

No follow-up, don’t seem interested in my problems
by Qballgreg on 12/09/2023Called for direction when ‘check engine’ light came on…service said they would call me back…after no call back, 7 days later I called and was told to bring the car in, but they couldn’t look at it for at least 7 days, maybe longer. I ended… up towing the vehicle to the dealership. We called Hyundai National Service to get a rental car…they followed up 10 days later. We have owned 4 Hyundais and this will be our last, needless to say.Hi, we are deeply disappointed by your experience at AutoNation Hyundai Hilton Head. Plan early!

They also told me it could take 2-3 hours because they are that busy. However, I was relieved that it… was only an hour, which they assured me at check-in. The car was returned to me washed and vacuumed too--a nice surprise! The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. It turned out to be a good experience! Poor service experience
by Jim Merkel on 11/08/2023I've taken my Santa Fe to Autonation Hardeeville 3 times for a AC that sometimes fails. They said they couldn't replicate and so they did nothing. I took it back to them again because it wouldn't start. They said 1 to 2 weeks for… diagnosis. It was 2 weeks and they said I needed a new battery. The battery was just replaced 2 days before they received it. They said it was mounted wrong. I took it back from them and to it to the place that put my original battery in and they said it was the alternator. Terrible Service Experience
by Shindachan on 10/20/2023Car needed to be assessed and fixed. Took over a month to be even seen, despite being told it'd be looked at and an estimate given after 7-14 days. No one ever answered in service dept. No one ever responded to my messages. No one informed… me qhy it took a month with no contact. Husband dealt with the rest once they did suddenly start working on the car. Inconsistent communication. A lot of blaming our insurance for delays (despite proof of our insurance being on top of everything). The manager even became annoyed with us for asking why there were so many delays, excuses, and lacking communication - she never even followed up with us after she said she would. 3 months before we got our car back and the damage was NOT that bad. When we did, we had to immediately return it (via tow truck) due to incomplete work done on the car. We do NOT trust their work. Initial resistance
by Very average on 10/07/2023Our 2018, Santa Fe was burning oil so we were going through the oil consumption test. This was the fifth or six time that we brought her car in for the consumption test. Because of our work schedule we were not able to get to the dealer… until 5:30. When the service writer asked what we were here for and told him for the consumption test he said, are you dropping off the car? I said no because it’s our only vehicle and because of our work schedule we can’t get here till now. He said well I don’t know if I have anybody that can take a look at your vehicle, but take a seat in the waiting room. I sensed a bit of an attitude. My wife and I walked around and looked at some vehicles. They did take in our Santa Fe and performed the consumption test. Every other time we got there at 5:30 for the oil consumption test there wasn’t a problem but this time a bit of an attitude.
