by Doreen on 11/13/2021I took my 2017 Rav4 to Mike Johnson’s Toyota for a scheduled oil change and tire rotation. I was then told I needed a new battery, new brake pads, a new wheel bearing on my front right side and a back wiper blade. When I asked about the… wheel bearing, since there are only 43,000 miles on my car, I was told he’d find out from the “master mechanic” and come back. He returned and asked if I was in an accident (which I haven’t been) because they weren’t sure what damaged it but it would cost $700 to replace. He then said they found a nail in my tire that couldn’t be repaired and quoted me for two tires. I told him to replace the brake pads, that’s all. I got there at 9:45 am and left close to 1 pm. I’ve had so many incidents like this with this dealership, this just happens to be the most recent and the last. This is my 3rd Toyota and I’m trading it for a Honda after I file a complaint to Toyota’s corporateWent above and beyond to fix my issue!
by Maria Earnhardt on 09/18/2021I recently bought a 2018 Toyota Corolla L from Mikes Hickory Toyota and first let me say that the buying experience was never easier. I saw what i wanted online, made an offer online and within 5 minutes someone called me from the online… internet dept. ask me when i could come in and test drive the car. But I first wanted to know if my offer would be accepted before I came in to test drive the car and they did accept it!! I am very impressed with the internet sales depart. the manager and how they reached out to me in a timely manner. They wanted to know when I could come in and test drive. I went in that day and met Greg one of their sales representatives and test drove the car. He went above and beyond in answering all my questions and then some. His knowledge of the mechanics of the car under the hood and carriage was exceptionally helpful. I cannot tell you how important it was for me knowing that Greg used to be a mechanic himself for many years. He gave me his cell numb. which I would speak with him on different occasions for different reasons in regards to the car. (I was very appreciative of someone taking the time to communicate with me not only during the process of buying my car but afterwards as well.) I knew after I test drove the car this was the one and they were able to accept only 500 down to hold the car until I could come back in within a week and buy my vehicle. (I bought the car without having to finance, so I am not familiar with that dept. or their process of financing) When I bought the car back in for its first oil change I noticed my hood liner in the back was starting to come down on the left hand side--i have never had this type of issue before--I showed the attendant Steve K. and he got the process started in the right dept. to get it corrected at no expense to me. He spent alot of extra time with me answering many questions I had in regards to the upkeep on my car, printed me out an information sheets of maintenance needed based mileages which I really appreciated very much. In the process of getting the hood liner fixed with the help of Dennis the Service Dept manager, I spoke with Dennis about the way my tires were not holding up in my view point as they should. I had bought the car in March and it was only August. (I had already spoken to a young lady in the service dept. that spent some time with me over the phone on the brands of tires and prices which impressed me also) but I felt I had nothing to loose to ask if he could look into this issue for me while they fixed my hood liner. He gave me his personal cell numb, and assured me he would look into that issue for me as well as the original one and get the problems taking care of to my satisfaction. He communicated with me during the entire process which meant alot to me as a customer. Needless to say not only was my hood liner fixed but my tires were completely replaced with new ones! (note: i was given a very nice 2021 Toyota rental to use during this process with a full tank of gas. The two women in that dept. were extremely courteous, efficient and friendly) When i went back to get my car i was extremely pleased, grateful and also I had a full tank of gas in my own car to boot!! So I want to give a huge SHOUT OUT TO MIKES HICKORY TOYOTA, GREG IN SALES, STEVE K. IN SERVICE DEPT AND DENNIS, THE SERVICE DEPT MANAGER.New Tires

To my surprise we got a call saying our vehicle shouldn’t have been sold to us with tires im such bad shape and they are replacing them at no charge to us! I’m still in… shock. They want to uphold a high standard at Mike Johnson’s Toyota and the service department restored my faith in that. We tried negotiating the tires when we bought it but we couldn’t come to an agreement. This goes above and beyond what I expected and to say I’m relieved would be an understatement. Thank you so much for your service!Excellent service!

by Sherry Hart on 05/23/2021The only thing negative I have to say was after they were finished with our car they took us out in the service area to pay and I don’t think this is a safe place for customers to be. This is the first time this has happened. We usually pay… in the lounge where we wait on our car and they explain what they did and we pay. I would think customers being out where the pits are would be a safety issue. I will continue to use Mike Johnson for my service needs, but I will request they take my payment in the waiting lounge. Even gave me a ride to my favorite restaurant so I could eat while I waited. Then they picked me up when my car… was ready. Great synergy. Always friendly. Quality work and a reasonable service bill. When the work was done the service advisor drove it up beside where I was to deliver to… me. I was very impressed with the service he gave.
