  • Recall repair done quickly

    I took my car in as a result of a recall for the electronic parking brake. It needed to be reprogrammed. The service department was cordial and prompt in handling the problem. However, I had another issue where the DIC display changes randomly and sporadically. The service department was unable to duplicate the problem, which didn't surprise me. I am now documenting the date and time when it happens, so perhaps this will help if the problem continues. The service advisor was also very helpful in showing me how to access additional choices for selecting radio stations. Even he had to play around with the display to get to the right menu. I have always been treated well at the dealership, and will continue to go there.

    I am very happy with my experience at Bob Johnson. I worked with Michael Barty. He was very easy to work with, put my interests and needs first and found me the truck I was looking for at the price range I was requesting. He was very quick to respond to any of my questions or calls and had everything ready in a short time frame to turn around the truck fast. It was a very pleasant buying experience and I would be happy to purchase again from Bob Johnson.

    Had an intermittent hesitation issue that was hard to diagnose. Initially thought it was a manifold sensor, which was replaced, but the problem returned. The dealership did more extensive troubleshooting and found a broken ground wire at the heart of the issue. Now the Cobalt shifts smoothly with no hesitation. NO COST to me. I appreciate the dealership going the extra mile on this one.

    This was a great experience. I had the pleasure of working with Joey Grimshaw as my salesperson and he was great. No pressure, searched for what I wanted and got me a great deal. We also worked with Eric in financing and what a professional. Would encourage everyone to work with these two gentlemen.

    I bought a new 2014 Malibu from Bob Johnson Chevrolet and buying experience went very smoothly. They have a huge selection and a polite and knowledgeable sales staff. This is the 5th or 6th vehicle I've purchased from them over the years.

    I had been looking for a car for some time then a girlfriend told me that she had a nice experience working with Joe L at Bob Johnson Chevrolet. Hesitantly I contacted Joe and let me tell you, I had the absolute best experience working with him! He took the time to talk with me and understand what I was looking for in a car. I wasn't sure about the leasing vs. buying differences and Joe helped me through the best option for me. I had done plenty of car research on line and my heart was set on a white 2014 Malibu with a sunroof - none to be found in their expansive selection but not to fear, Joe and his team finally located my dream car and delivered it with a smile! He even helped me set up my phone with the blue tooth option and my garage door opener! I can't thank Joe and the sales team, including Bill K and John B enough for taking the time to help me feel at ease with the often anxious car buying experience!!     The dealership took me right i when I thought I might have a warranty problem. False alarm but they did do alrecall work to the vehicle andI was treated with the utmost respect. A pleasant experience.

    I was looking to buy my first car in over ten years. I typically hate the car buying process, but the folks at Bob Johnson were fantastic. Carol H. took the time to show me different cars with the features I was looking for and Eric helped me get set up with great terms for a first time buyer. I was doubly impressed with how well I was treated by everyone.

    I recently went to Bob Johnson when looking for my next lease vehicle. I was overwhelmed by what an amazing experience it was. The test driving experience was great and my salesperson Len insisted that I test drive a vehicle with the options I wanted not just any car that was available. Once I decided what options I wanted he found the car that I wanted with the options and color I wanted and didn't push me to buy what they had on the lot like other dealerships had. I was absolutely blown away at the laid back atmosphere at the dealership. I never felt pressured and they went above and beyond to make sure things worked for me in every aspect. I would definitely go back.

    I have to say, I wasn't happy. Lot's of back patting and smiles, but service could have been better. Went in for a recall, they said they didn't find the problem. Went in for an oil change/inspection, and 6 hours later, I'm out of there with a 65.76 bill. Really surprised because they used to stand behind things. Well, some of the people there are still good to deal with, but Service Dept could use a brush up.

    After working with the sales person (Randy) for almost 2 hours, we agreed on a deal for a 2008 Cobalt. Little did we know that the Finance and Sales managers would change the deal, at the last minute, to a 2007 model that we never even looked at and didn't want. Everyone was very apologetic, but we knew that we had been scammed.

    Well, when my wife and I went looking for a vehicle at the dealership the experiance was less than good. The sales person bragged about the moeny spent on advertisments, and how much was being spent on this and that, while took a test drive. Very pushy, quick to talk over things you may have to say.... But, most of all our experiance with this dealership told us they are not about the customer. Just about money and making more of it. They do have a nice selection of cars, they do advertise tons, and as we found out it costs tons to do that... Maybe that was why the prices for rental return vehicles was so high. Do your homework first before walking into this dealership. Carfax, KellyBlueBook, also look at the dealer trade in value for the vehicle you are looking at, and keep in mind if you trade it in they will point out every little fault... To make it less than excellent or good - be ready to look for the same things they look for. Otherwise the sales people here are very good at getting you to sit down to talk a deal, and you will not be ready. Based on such poor customer service we did not buy from this dealership.

    We went in "just looking". Definitely were NOT buying. We left having leased a brand new 2014 Traverse. :-) Chris C and Matt J made the whole process seamless and stress free. Not only were they fabulous with us but also had an area to keep our 2 "tweens" occupied.

    The Worst Experience Ever in years buying cars in Rochester NY. First off all they try to make me feel like nobody. After pick up the car i desire and talk about the deal they ask me about my income when i answer they just jump cause i gain to much monthly income, i understand when people hear how much i make but i give then all the proof of my income but for this people that's a FLAG { WHY BE CAUSE I MAKE MORE MONEY THAT ANYONE THERE }. Anyway after a long wait i mean two days i got answer lol... they just tell me i was approved for a loan but have to be a brand new car cause the car i pick up it was a Nissan Armada 2007 and it was to old k. Well after i went there again i pick up a brand new vehicle and really fast they just said no cause they cant give me that one cause the value of the vehicle lol... come on if i have the money and the credit to buy any car in market how this people coming and play games after games why be cause I AM HISPANIC OR WHAT. I believed they just are [non-permissible content removed] cause i don't have anymore answer overall the worst treatment and experience i have in years.

    After a lifetime of auto purchase and visiting several other dealerships before coming to Bob Johnson, I have to say I have found the one dealership I can & will be loyal to. Based on the best price, no hassle experience, patience and a customer centered approach I experienced, it was a easy to I sign on the dotted line for that 2014 Equinox I was looking for. Don't hesitate, just go there and buy your vehicle. I dealt with Michael B. Look him up.
