I wandered into Automax and immediately found what I had been looking for but could not afford brand new. The car had relatively low mileage and,… although being two 1/2 years old, was in perfect condition. I was in love. After two days of very pleasant conversation with my salesman, Sal, the deed was done. There was no high pressure and everyone in the showroom seemed like they loved their jobs. I don't know what other pre-owned dealerships are like, but Automax, and Sal, has my future business and anyone else's that I can recommend.vehicle sales

by Ozzieg1114 on 10/13/2015I went into AutoMax after having a very bad experience earlier in the day with another dealership. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Michael Joseph (MJ) and it made the bad experience of the earlier part of my day disappear. MJ… was very friendly and even listened to my rant of my earlier experience. He was very warm, friendly and very versed in exactly what he was doing. I took special note of how he worded his responses to me. I told him what I was looking for and he got me into something with all the bells and whistles plus more! From the time I entered the establishment I was greeted and it was as if everything was streamlined. MJ was very easy to deal with and even with the bargaining piece I was impressed. Too often you go into a dealership and you know their ultimate goal is to rip you off to maximize their profit and the experience with MJ was the complete opposite. I would definitely tell everyone and anyone I know who is looking to buy a car to go to AutoMax and see MJ. Should I choose to trade or purchase another vehicle there is no doubt who I will be calling. Thx MJ and AutoMax!!Easy Transaction

I made an appointment at 11 AM to drive nearly 2 hours to see the vehicle. I arrived at the dealership 3 hours later and was… told that the car had been sold, however I can still look at it since payment had not been made on the vehicle yet. Then they gave me some lines about how the buyer is from out of town so they want to have me lined up incase it falls through. Last point to mention, I do not believe anything I was told as I read numerous other reviews with potential customers who were treated to the same exact situation. Not sure what type of game this dealership is playing but it is very bad business, I recommend you drive a few miles further to the professional dealerships as I did and find a car worth taking home! beware of this scheming dealership!Great buying experience!

After shopping several dealers within a 50 mile radius of my home, I was happy to find not one but two great… vehicles to choose from. Given a hectic work schedule and proximity, they were accommodating in making my purchase efficient, friendly, and most importantly, a very good price. UNPROFESSIONAL WASTE OF TIME

I've emailed them several times to ensure they had something to move forward on. It doesn't take a whole week to… give me a response. Either you want to do business with me or you don't. by izzy02127 on 07/28/2014Shady business going on here. I'm not sure if it was the 'ol bait and switch or just plain laziness, but something just isn't right with how these guys do business. I drove out there from Boston to look at an amazing deal I saw on their… website on a Honda CR-V. I was told they couldn't find the car. (How does one misplace an SUV?!?). I was then asked if I was prepared to buy today "if" they could find the car. I told him probably not, as there is one more model I want to test drive before I make my final decision. After that, his entire demeanor changed. He told me "we" were wasting "our" time, and that I should come back when I figure out what I want. So basically, he decided I was wasting his time because I didn't have my wallet open that very day. At that point I was weary of doing business with them anyways. I'm not going to mention his name, as I realize everyone has bad days and perhaps this was just one of his, but this sales guy was totally unprofessional, checking his phone and texting as we were having a conversation at his desk. Not to mention, this place actually has signs on the showroom cars saying "Please do not touch or sit in the cars". I thought it was a joke at first, honestly. I mean, isn't that the point of coming to a showroom? I've been to many dealerships in the past month, and have never seen one that cared less about their customers.2006 Range Rover

The sale was not a hard sell by Issac and that was one of the… reasons why I found the experience tobe a good one. I bought a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee from this dealership on May 5th and since then the car has been in the shop three times. The… first problem was after I picked up the car and the perfume wore off the inside of the car smalled like cigar. i sent it back to them to clean it which they did a very poor job. i had to empty two bottles of fabreeze into the damn thing. Second time there was a serious engine problem which luckily for me was covered under the powertrain since this car had only 35000 miles. Thirdly the catalytic convertor failed and again this was covered under warranty. This dealership does not maintain the cars they sell and simply dont care. I even had the General Sales Manager (MR) send me a text calling me "Penny Foolish" and to stick to what i know when i asked him to cancel the extended vehicle warranty I purchased. I just did not want to buy warranty through this shady company. Just a word of advice if you buy a car from these people you might wana look into an extended warranty from someone beacuse they do not maintain their cars and certainly dont buy one through them!!! EVER!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!! just wish I could give them a MINUS 10 STARS!!!!Fast and Simple

by helpingothers on 01/23/2014updated 06/02/2025I recently bought a '10 Infiniti and was disappointed in the follow through with salesman (Sal) and dealership. Vehicle came with DVD player but we realized after purchase that there was no remote to operate it. I expected they'd furnish it… but instead was told I had to source one through infiniti myself....same is true for 2nd keyless fob. they only had one at time of sale and after promises by sales to find the 2nd one, I had to buy it separately. Who sells a late model car with only one key....no spare??? the car also had a bunch of issues after first week on the road (they promise a 3 month warranty) and only one they would take care of was a wiper. the rest I had to bring directly to infiniti and fight for warranty coverage. be careful of the $500 doc fee on every sale, regardless of whether you finance or pay cash. I wouldn't go back but at least I can forewarn others to tread lightly and getting everything in writing.....I wrote a review about this dealership and I dont see it on here!... Im suprised they have four stars!!! Worst dealership ever!

After pricing a bunch on the net I went to 3 dealerships that each had something that fit my wants. The first two actually tried to talk me out of… the car and into something else. Typical salespeople being salespeople. (one guy actually tried to talk me into a RWD car when I told him I travel northern Maine in January!!!!) All the research I'd done was wrong, they knew better... At Automax, John knew exactly what I was talking about, the difference between AWD and 4WD, information on trim levels, you name it. I was in and out in one afternoon and my new Audi is fabulous! I was nervous about a 1 price store but now I understand the mark it up to mark it down concept is ludacris and just leads to everyone losing in the end (except the dealership) Thanks John, thanks Automax, thanks Audi!!Terrible Experience

This is BY FAR the WORST all around dealership I have EVER been to. To begin, I went here looking at a certain car I… found online and upon bringing it to me to test drive 3 out of 4 of the rims were destroyed and the rugs were black (supposed to be beige). I mentioned the rims and was told they usually dont fix that because its "used." Next, we discussed my trade and he gave me a BEYOND low ball offer and when I opened the discuss for negotiation he then asked me what I owe on my car. That is irrelevent as I put down a significant down payment. After a long conversation he agreed to give me $18,000 on my trade but we could not meet halfway on the price of the car under interest. About a month later I saw they dropped the price of the car by $1,000 so I thought it was worth a phone call and was reassured by the salesman (JD) that I would be buying a car that day. I drove 45 minutes to Framingham to retest drive the car (which was now missing a side view mirrow) and was sat down and told they were now only going to offer me $16,500 for my car, $17,000 at most. I immediately mentioned we had a deal on the value of my trade and the two men (inlcuding JD) said they dont recall agreeing to this figure. I then stated because they had not sold the car yet (had been sitting on the lot since February, 4 months) they reduced the price by $1,000 and they are trying to recoupe that loss by lowering the value of my trade by $1,000 ($18,000 to $17,000). The manager (never got his name, chubbier guy with a tan) merely shrugged his sholders. The truth of the matter was I was willing to go down to $17,500 on the trade (due to the month that lapsed from my initial visit) but when the manager went back on his word it rubbed me the wrong way. I understand the car buying process is not an enticing experience by any means but these men went back on their word and everyone knows that is just bad business. If they were dishonest and manipulative about the value of my trade, what else would they lie about in regard to the vehicle. I would not reccomend anyone to every pay these [non-permissible content removed] a visit, they are rude, phony and though their cars are (at times) priced decently they are not in good condition (i.e. destroyed rims, stained carpets and missing side view mirror). Everyone elses comments on this dealship are nothing but the TRUTH, they deserve a 0 and I would be happy to give them this rating if I could.New to me!

Everything went awesome, the price was the best according to all the listing sites, and the car has been awesome. Their… service department really followed through with the million point inspection concept.
