    The service was done in a timely manner, shorter than I had anticipated. My car is still under warranty so I was not charged a fee. I thought the employee I dealt with was very professional and friendly.

    My service experience turned out well despite initial hiccups. I believed a $750 repair my out-of-warranty RAV 4 required was due to a defect & not attributable to me. I found a very honest conscientious service manager, Gary Francois, who… interceded with Toyota on my behalf and refused to take NO for an answer. If not for Gary, I don’t believe it would have ended so well.

    Eddy was incredibly kind, calm and helpful. He was happy to help me with my issue. My Land Cruiser is my favorite thing and I was concerned because I had gotten caught in a flood. They did a thorough investigation and were able to diagnose… the problem.

    I’ve been a huge Toyota fan all my life and Carlos was great to work with. I had a couple of life issues that necessitated that I get a new car quickly.. rides for kids, family responsibilities and work... So to have the staff at a car… dealership be understanding and interested in getting people back on the road was a refreshing change. Stephania made the financial part easy and i would definitely recommend their friendly and honest vibe to anyone.

    Started the car process with Carlos and the lovely Ms. Stefania was able to seal the deal with the financial piece of this puzzle. The staff was always very understanding and helpful with all of my questions and concerns. This was my second… time purchasing a vehicle in general but this go around at this particular location was much smoother than my first time at a previous dealership. I’m glad I decided to work with this amazing group of people. They are amazing at what they do here. Thank you for the great experience!

    On January 18, 2023, I came in to Herb Chambers Toyota of Boston for a regular maintenance service for my leased RAV-4 (free with my two year warranty). But was informed that the necessary fix for the problem with the recently… non-functional passenger seatbelt was not covered by the warranty and was going to cost $165. When I first leased the car in 2021, I negotiated with the national Toyota Customer Service for a rebate or credit of some kind because my previous RAV-4 (which I had bought new and owned for a couple of years) had only 51,000 miles on it but began having multiple and expensive problems, unheard of in a new Toyota—and I have over the years owned several Toyotas, purchased and serviced at Herb Chambers of Boston, and each of which were wonderful to drive and lasted in excellent shape for well over 100,000 miles and for many years. Until the top-of-the- line RAV-4 I had bought in 2017. I decided, after already spending several thousands of dollars on fixing an ongoing problem with the car, that I could not spend another estimated $8,000 for yet-another attempt at fixing the issue, which might not even work. In the end, I traded in my failing RAV-4 to lease (my first-ever car lease) a new 2021 RAV-4 and reached out to Toyota to negotiate a rebate or discount. After many phone discussions, Toyota offered me a $1000 two-year credit for any labor or parts needed for my new leased car. When I asked about it at Herb Chambers relative to the seat belt fix, no one in service or in the financial office could find a record of that Toyota offer—until Jennifer (who has worked at that dealership, originally in Service, for over 25 years) took over for the financial services person who was working with me but was sent home sick in the middle our discussion about the “brand-loyal offer” from Toyota two years ago. First, Jennifer recognized me from her time as a service rep in the Service Department, knew I had been a Herb Chambers customer in both sales and service for over 20 years, and immediately started a process with Toyota to find the record and terms of the offer. And she called up to the service rep and told them not to charge me for the work on the seat belt. She had not heard back from Toyota when my car was ready, but said she would stay on it and call me if/when she got the answer we were looking for. So, I left (with a now-working seatbelt), feeling way better about Toyota (and Herb Chambers), thanks to Jennifer’s friendly, intelligent, understanding, and persistent help. She is a great asset for that dealership, and however the issue with Toyota is resolved, Jennifer (who is currently a “back office” person) should be recognized and commended for her superb and thoughtful customer relations skills and her cheerful willingness to dig deeper for a longtime Toyota and Herb Chambers customer. I am grateful indeed that she was there.

    HC Toyota Service has taken care of all my Toyotas for almost two decades. While technology has made smarter cars with the alerts, it requires humans to diagnose and repair the problem. Sean Cho is an excellent Service Advisor who… listens to my concerns, communicates with the technicians., and clearly explains the diagnosis and costs. He is aware of the expense of auto repair and suggests specials, if available.

    I attempted to purchase a 2022 Rav4 Prime from this dealership. I told them from the beginning that I needed a vehicle I could install a tow hitch on and that this feature if unavailable was a deal breaker, they confirmed it was possible… and provided a price quote for installation. After waiting for more than 6 weeks for the vehicle to arrive, I only discovered that the hitch is incompatible by contacting my local dealership to order the parts (I do not live near Herb Chambers Toyota and elected to have it installed locally). A month after this all happened, I realized my loan for the vehicle had been inadvertently funded. I contacted the dealership - which had not notified me of the error - and they promised to overnight a check to me. The check did not arrive for one week, my messages were not returned, and it was actually sent ground rather than overnight. In addition, they refused to provide a check to the loan provider as the provider requested, which means shipping checks back and forth across the country. They did not offer to cover the interest on the loan, despite the fact that the only reason I didn't buy the vehicle was their mistake.

    We are thrilled with the customer service at Toyota. Since 1985 Howie Reske is always our go to guy when we or any family members ate in need of a new auto. Rich helped us with all of the paper work.He was so helpful. Stephania, the… business manager was so personable and such a good teacher in helping us to understand all of the finances. Liam was extraordinary…. So very personable and so helpful with all of the many details of buying a new car. We were so impressed with how knowledgeable he was…. Thank you all

    Shigliam T was so kind, responsive and understanding when I needed to schedule emergency service for my RAV4 during Christmas week. She kept me informed as to what was wrong with my car, how long it would take to test and to make repairs.… She is such a lovely person which made my experience way less stressful. The car was ready when promised and the car is humming along happily.

    Dean Li was my salesperson and he was the best! Looking for a specific car, I connected with more than 12 dealerships during my search and Dean persevered endlessly until he found my dream car. He never took more than a few hours to respond… to my inquiries and always provided clear and helpful information. Herb Chambers is very fortunate to have a professional of his caliber. As for Herb Chambers corporate policies I have two major concerns: (1) the policy to force all new car buyers to spend almost $1000 on glass coating protection is appalling! (2) Charging customers a premium over the MSRP is equally appalling…they are only one of two dealerships in the greater Boston/southern NH area that does this! If they didn’t have my specific car during my desired timeframe, I would never have purchased my car there. Buyer Beware!
