From my first call to Derrick Helm all the way to final delivery of the vehicle by Kevin Abrams, the experience was top notch. They… were attentive, responsive, and honest the entire way through, and I ended up with the vehicle I wanted at what I consider a very fair price based on my research. Very pleased with the purchase of our third vehicle

Our previous salesman is no longer at the VW dealership. Idris worked with us to replace… our 2008 Passat. He was very patient and professional as my wife test drove several cars. After the sale Idris explained all the technology and features of the car to our satisfaction. We plan to keep this car for many years. When it's time for another new vehicle I hope Idris is still at Napleton's VW, as we will definitely be back.Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. Matt made me feel comfortable through the whole process and was very upfront with costs, etc. Derrick was great at finding me exactly the car I wanted, and they both… made sure I was happy with the end result. Switching VW

Kevin Abrams at VW went above and beyond to help insure all my questions were meet and explained… things to me in detail for my big step of switching VWs. I loved my car and would have pushed it for miles even after it was well past its prime. Kevin made sure not only to take my future into consideration but my daughters as well when deciding which car would be best for our family. He made the process very smooth. He answered all 5 million of my questions without hesitation. And even helped get my car seat installed. His customer service represents the values the VW uphold. The process was so much fun! I know Matt had our best interests at heart.… Never once did we feel pressured or unsure about the process. His genuine kindness and honesty made the experience one we will never forget. Awesome buying experience - no high pressure sales
by 2Greens on 09/02/2017People are always quick to write negative reviews, and I admit to sorting reviews to read the "bad" first when making a purchasing decision for something. But I also weigh the bad against the good. Since I rely on reviews for all kinds of… things, I think it's important (perhaps more so) to share positive experiences as well. I had an excellent buying experience with Idris at Napleton's Auto Park in Urbana. Even though I have owned 3 Volkswagens previously, I wanted to be sure there wasn't a different vehicle that would better suit my needs (which was ultimately overruled by my wants, but that's another story... See below :) ). I asked to test drive more than 10 different vehicles at Napleton's, including almost every other make they sell! He was patient and spent a significant amount of time with me to make sure I was given all of the choices/options I was looking (or thought I might be looking) for. Even though he's a VW representative and sales manager, he is knowledgeable about the other makes on Napleton's lots as well. When I had specific questions about another make, he usually had the answer, but would find out the answer if he didn't readily know. He went above and beyond what is probably expected of a stereotypical car salesman, particularly since I did ask to drive about 14 vehicles (no, sadly, I'm not exaggerating!). He is anything but a stereotypical salesman. In the end, I still bought a Volkswagen (2017 Beetle convertible - LOVE it - go talk to him to get your very own :) ). (Balancing want vs. need...) I couldn't be happier with my purchase and my purchase experience with Idris. It took me a couple of weeks to make a final decision. He was never pushy/aggressive and he wasn't out just to make a sale. He wanted me to be sure I was making the right choice for me - not for his paycheck. I highly recommend him (and Napleton's in general). In fact, I recommend him so strongly that I told a complete stranger to contact him when I was talking with them and learned they were new to the area and were in the market for a new car. They went to VW the next day and asked for him - and purchased a car! I had driven through all of the lots at Napelton's for a few weeks, looking at all of the different options. On every lot there was someone who would ask if I needed help. I had already established a working relationship with Idris. Even after letting other salesmen know that, they were all still friendly, answered questions if I had them, and no one was aggressive - even the "used car" salesmen. ;) As a related side note, I have been a Napleton's/O'Brien VW customer for 8+ years. I have always been treated well and fairly by not only the sales department, but service as well. Part of the reason (though perhaps small) I stayed with Volkswagen is because of my satisfaction with the service team.Thank you so much for leaving this detailed review about your experience shopping for your new vehicle! Listened to My Needs
by sckiddoo on 04/23/2017Unlike the salespeople for many automobile purchases I have made, Idris McPherson listened to what I wanted and didn't try to pressure me into something I didn't want. The process was explained well throughout and I was able to get the… exact car I had set out to purchase at a fair price without spending much time haggling over the deal. Most salespeople focus only on monthly payments. I told Idris when I walked in the door that being in the financial profession I wasn't interested in the monthly payment, rather the overall cost. I have tried this with others, and they just can't get over the payment (to get me into something I didn't need or necessarily want). They seem befuddled when I ask to see the deal written up so I can see the bottom line rather than a monthly amount I will have to pay. Idris did exactly what I asked and I was able to deal with financing after the deal was complete giving me more confidence the deal was done in an upfront and transparent manner. Idris is personable, knowledgeable about the products he sells and easy to work with. I would recommend him for anyone looking to purchase an auto from Napleton's in Urbana, IL.Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
