  • Decent for having to buy a car

    I ended up getting close to the deal I wanted, but it stilll involved some haggling and was more stressful than I had hoped. Wasted a lot of time with the sales manager trying to manipulate and convince me to get different protection… packages and predicting immediate breakdowns and parts breaking, when I got the car because they're so reliable.

    Came to the dealership on 2/7 looking for a new tundra. I arrived Around 730 PM. I filled out the website information for the $500 dollar bonus if I bought through automation. Got a call within minutes from my sales associate. I walked him… over to the Tundra I was Interested in. Went for a test drive came back and made him an offer. Mind you I just came from another dealer and been visiting dealerships in the Tampa area for weeks getting quotes. I was looking for that dealership that wanted my business and future business sense we have been a Toyota family for years. After my final offer, they accepted. I know I paid a little more than I could have gotten but this placed seems great and you can’t buy a good relationship in the auto industry. Next stop by finance where I met a great employee and again I felt happy with the purchase. We went over all the extended warranty options. For the most part things seemed great. I signed cause I had a great feeling. Soon as I got home my wife and I went over the warranty sheet showing all the options. First I noticed that In the price of the truck the dent protection and appearance protection was built in. $699.00 each. I was sold the same coverage again. Double dipping! To me it appeared that the 84 month preferred plan with Gap was $4,399. Not at all! If he would have turned the monitors and showed me the price I was financing for every options there is no way I would have done that. I purchased over 11k in warranties. Before I start signing I would think I would have seen a breakdown. I signed on the fly thinking I was good! Next morning I emailed my sales associate and finance guy my concerns. Sales associate said that’s the finance department. Nothing to do with him. I have emailed the finance guy twice with no response. After I received the truck I asked my sales associate to please have finance call me. Nothing! I emailed the my sales associate asking for the managers number and finance directors number. All I received was one number no name nothing. I have since called my friend who works with financing at Toyota on the west coast and reached out to my client who owns a dealership in the Tampa area. Both have gave me good advice. I will be returning to remove all of the extra options I have selected. Just amazes me that I would hear from so many different dealerships by email, text and phone calls to get your business but after you buy the communications ends. They got what they wanted.

    We recently purchased a Toyota Venza Limited from AutoNation Pinellas Park. I started with an online inquiry about the availability of the Venza Limited model. I received a prompt reply from Spencer telling me about an incoming car. He kept… me appraised of the arrival of the car. We jumped the gun, and got to the dealership before the delivery van, but ended up making a deposit to purchase the car. When the car arrived the next day Elki went over every detail of all the features, helping set up the phone, and tech components. Paperwork was a breeze with Bennington. All in all, a very easy and satisfying experience.

    I was looking to buy my car almost 3 weeks. Some dealers are just not honest they photoshop the car photos which look really nice on line but the real car look very bad. Auto Nation is the professional car dealer. They are professional and… make everything easy and reasonable price. I love my 2016 Nissan Rogue SV so much. Thank you Auto Nation I appreciate it.     We were satisfied with our experience buying a RAV4 Hybrid. Certainly, the customer service side was good. Thanks to Maria Gonzalez (our patient sales person), Antonio Torres (our informative hand-holder through the sales portion), and… Michael Henkel, Jr (our paperwork prepper) the experience was quite pleasant. Prices and car availability were better here than at competitors' stores in Bradenton, Clearwater, and Holiday, FL. These other stores/outlets were also inferior in that their on-line and verbal promises of car models in stock were inaccurate (and likely, a bait and switch ploy). We did not feel that was the case at AutoNation, St Pete. The challenges of our hunt for cars related to popular demand and continuing supply chain issues so that we did not get the exact vehicle that we wanted. However, we are content with what we bought.

    I got the below MSRP price from their website and took it to their showroom. It was for a VIN "in build phase" at the factory with a 3 week delivery date. They honored the quoted price and didn't force any suggested dealer installed add-ons… --- all I had to do was say "no" and they dropped the issue right away. The car was delivered a few days earlier than estimated. Everyone employed at the dealership was pleasant, respectful, and motivated to make the sale happen. Juan was my salesperson.

    Robin was a no pressure sales. Took me around and looked at what was available and landed on a 2020 Tundra. After a little negotiation we were able to settle on a deal. Larry made it easy and Barrington got me a great rate and we were done… in under two hours. Fastest ever! Thank you

  • Bad experience!!!

    Bought a car from this dealership like two weeks ago… bad experience… If you plan to buy a car here, take a photo of every paper they show you, every paper you put your initials on and everything you sign (or e-sign)! After that you won t… see them anymore. I asked for the papers I put my initials on during the selling process and they refused to give them to me… same day, during the process, the numbers didn t feel right. The Finance person sold me Extended Warranty contract for 100k miles/7 years, but he didn t give me a copy of it. Returning for the contract few days later, I realized the contract was only for 60k miles/3 years. No electronic copies after the sale, only hard copies of contracts, even though I e-signed everything! And of course, The Extended Warranty Contract was missing… To me, that is the definition of fraud. Few days later I canceled all contracts: Tire and wheel, Extended warranty and Cosmetic wheel protection. (Which, by the way, applies only to aluminum or alloy rims, my car has regular steel rims) Went there 2-3 times, trying to talk to a Finance manager… seems like they don’t care. They sent me to the same Finance person that I was complaining about! Waste of my time…

    Went in for an oil change. The service representative came to me to tell me that I needed a new cabin air filter, Engine air filter and Climate Control EVAP service. Grand total $341.42. They wanted to charge me $69.04 for a cabin filter… and $45.97 for a Engine filter. I said NO! Got both parts online for less than $40. Also found out that EVAP service is rarely needed.

    I have visited the dealership 3 times for my 2022toyota Tacoma .The first time with a flat tire due to a big nail 3/4of an inch from the sidewall .I purchased all the warranties including road hazard for the tires .After making her wait… 3hrs they told my wife a new tire was installed because the old tire was not repairable .When she got home I realized they plugged the tire and lied .After calling the service manager and screaming he had me come back on Saturday and they replaced it .The second and third time with an appointment for 9am for a tire rotation and oil change it took 3hrs and 15 min.to get done waiting there.Why do you bother giving appointments when the car don't even get moved for 2 hours .Very unhappy with the service department.And the last thing I just want to mention ,I am driving on us19 and I realized my hood was moving they had forgotten to latch it .Dangerous don't you think ...
