Edwin Guzman at Lia Honda was incredibly helpful when we were purchasing a pre-owned car. He went out of his way to explain everything to us, was very knowledgeable and flexible. He let us know exactly what we would need to do to purchase… the car and assisted us with the transfer. It was a great experience!

Deceptive Advertising
by UncleJohn on 07/02/2018I scheduled an appointment to meet with Lia Honda regarding a vehicle listed on their site as well as third party advertising sites (such as Cars.com) at $34,990. I informed them that I was about an hour out and would see them in about an… hour and half. Upon arrival, I was told that I would not be allowed to test drive the vehicle unless I was going to make a deal. That was a bit annoying since I drove an hour to be there and they didn't mention it when I set the appointment. I went on to ask what the total, out the door price would be on the car. My salesman came back with a base price of $42,000 before taxes, and $45,xxx after taxes. I asked why it was $7,000 more than advertised on their site and was informed that there was a roughly $7000 dealer markup fee, and that all dealers did that. I ended the negotiation in anger and walked out with the salesman following me saying "I should have done my research". I have bought a lot of cars in Connecticut, in fact I bought another one that day from another dealer. I have never seen anyone, even in the most backwoods car lots, charge a $7,000 markup over MSRP as a dealer fee. If this isn't a bait-and-switch tactic, it is about as close as it gets.Horrible Sales Experience - STAY CLEAR!

We sit down and before even understanding the model and specs he walks off to talk to a manager about pricing. I was… interested in the numbers for financing and leasing a 2018 Honda Accord. I had bought two accords through the program before so Im familiar with the process. When he comes back I info him, I need the financing and lease pricing. He gets back and provides the numbers; hes missing the fact that I needed 15k miles on the lease and didnt offer the money factor or the residual value of the vehicle. Again, he goes back to get the complete information. At this point, he has demonstrated a lack of competency to sell cars and doesnt list to provide clear and complete information upon which is required to make a decision. It should be noted; Josh lacks all enthusiasm. Then he goes into this whole, will you buy a car today? Why the heck you think I drove 45 minutes to get here? At that point, I said no because it was clear that while I will be buying a new 2018 accord, it sure as hell wont be from this dealer. Lia Honda of Enfield is a very unprofessional Honda location. FREE TIP: Josh isnt helping you sell any cars. He has no social skills, and his demeanor is condescending and unprofessional. My girl and I are both executive Costco members, and well be informing Costco of our horrible experience. Interested in buying a Honda? I liked the vibe in the showroom more than some of the other dealerships I have been to in recent months. I… worked with Marcell Thomas who had a great personality and made the task of completing my lease and purchasing a new car as painless as possible. Buying a new car is stressful to me since it's a lot of money and you want to get the best deal possible. I was glad that Marcell let me drive a few different cars and didn't try to push me in any particular direction. He answered my questions and was impartial and let me make my decision. I wish dealerships still didn't do that thing where the sales guy has to go ask what kind of deal he can offer or whatever goes on behind the scenes. That part is super annoying. Seems like everyone is still doing that. But it's over, and now, and I have a new car that I really love! (and can afford!)Fantastic service

He was wonderful to work with - efficient, informative, friendly, reliable, honest, genuine & attentive, AND sold me the car for… what I wanted to pay - so I am a very happy customer, especially considering the ease & speed of the sale, and so happy we purchased the EX model-it's an amazing car - pretty mountain air metallic color, nice fabric inside, safety features & tons of space (fit all of our daughter's college gear!), not to mention the great Honda value & drive. by HauptKraut on 08/06/2015First contact with the Lia dealership was when shopping for a 2013 CR-V. The Internet sales rep was very prompt, highly competitive, and respectful. I ultimately bought from a dealer closer to home, but distance was the tipping point… here. That experience convinced me to give them my business this time around with a 2015 Accord. David Demontigny greeted us and actually listened. We tested a few candidate cars. When we had decided, the negotiation was very fair and lacked the same dumb "that's just a cup of coffee a day" speech and other common tactics you hear everywhere. The Finance & Insurance manager was very efficient and offered the extended warranties, etc., but did not force-feed them at all. Delivery experiences couldn't go smoother. I'm glad I came back! How often do you say that about a dealership?Good service on time

From the Salesperson to the Business manager who finalized the paperwork, the process was smooth and painless . The price quote was the best I had received, the trade value they gave… me was right in line with what I expected. I drove out with my new CRV in less than 2 hours - You can't beat that !Will Not Walk Into a Lia Business Ever Again

Was told they would do front end alignment before selling the car. They never did. Was told… they would replace a bad tire before selling the car. Told me that was done only for me to see the original bad tire on the car after they said the car was ready to go. Didnt get the paper work right. Took all day to do the paper work. Never again!Awful sales team.
