Efficient and thorough

My only complaint was that the car wash was being renovated so when picked my car up after paying close to $2,000 for the service, my car was still dirty. They gave me a voucher to get a car wash at the… local gas station but it would have been better had they taken it there and got it washed before I picked up my car. Outside of that, Phil Macias was great from start to finish. He communicated well and also arranged transportation for me to/from work. I drove in to have air regulated in my tires and found out I had a nail… in both drivers side tires. The next morning I was there for 4 new tires. Stay away from this terrible dealer

If you like to waste your time, have them screw up paperwork, and a surprise charge on your CC months after your purchase, this is definitely the dealer… for you. Condescending staff that treat you like trash. Spend your money somewhere else, anywhere else. This dealer and Walter's as a group really specialize in making your experience like hell. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.Hi Son, Thank you for feedback here and I can certainly understand your frustration. I spoke to Andrew and he let me know that you two have spoken and he apologized for the challenges. I’d also like to just reiterate what occurred here as well. Although we did figure the out of state sales tax incorrectly we made that good by paying the difference of our mistake out of our own pocket; this mistake was actually in your favor. The mistake also has nothing to do with the charge on your credit card. That charge relates to registering the vehicle in Nevada. Since you are not registering the car in CA you don’t pay the CA registration fee. The forthcoming Nevada vehicle registration charge was made aware to you when you bought the car (you had to fill out the form and provide your credit card info while you were here) and we explained to you that it would be incurred once you completed the Nevada smog check, vin verification and submitted the paperwork. Now that you completed that registration process your card was charged as planned. I am very sorry that the customer service you got here was below our standard. I will have a talk with everyone involved about being more empathetic and helpful. If you have any other questions please reach out to me directly. I didn’t sign any form, and I don’t see any paperwork that indicate you paid anything to CA. All I have is a signed sales contract for what you collected in tax and DMV fees, which total MORE than what was itemized from the NV DMV. From the documentation I have, it looks like I overpaid! Furthermore, the NV paperwork was processed on 3/21 - more than TWO months after I purchased the vehicle, and ONLY after I contacted the sales rep to ask about it. Your sales manager (Tito?) told me he took care of “everything” and I would not expect a $1500 charge two months later if that is the case. So I waited for HOURS to get the paperwork written (you can check all the security cameras that Filomena is so proud of) only for you to screw up the paperwork, then having your sales manager call and say “everything” was taken care of which turned out to be a lie, and then seeing a charge two months later after not hearing anything. What a way to experience the Mercedes-Benz purchase at Walter’s!
Disappointing Sales Experience
by Jack N on 02/02/2023I was in the market for a blue Certified Pre Owned 2020+ GLS 450 and found Walter's MB of Riverside has one in stock. Had great interactions with Brandi Fink up until the actual dealer visit on 12/23/2022. First thing I noticed was the… dullness and swirl marks all over the exterior. I understand it's a preowned and I do not expect the paint job to be perfect. I pointed this out to Brandi and asked if the dealership may offer an exterior detail or paint correction job and her reply was "Perhaps you should look at new inventory." I was taken back by her response but since I have driven 40+ miles to get here, I let it go (strike one). The test drive was uneventful and we negotiated a little bit on the price. The "best they could do" was take $500 off asking. Before we went up to their finance department, I pointed out that its built sheet indicates the vehicle comes with a cargo cover. I inquired about it and was told she can give me 10% off at their parts department (strike two). During the paperwork process with their finance manager, I inquired about the number of keys it comes with. In my previous experience with certified vehicles, they should come with two (upon calling different MB dealerships in Socal, all said their CPOs come with two). I was told it should be two and we can confirm with Brandi after we are done. And you guessed it, this CPO vehicle only comes with one key (strike three). And by this point, everything has been signed and there is no going back. Purchasing a second key can cost more than $1,000. Brandi offered to reach out to the previous owner and hope for the best. After living with this vehicle for a week, I noticed there's an issue with the front cup holders and there was no front license plate bracket. I reached out to Brandi on 12/28/2022 about this and was told it is not a warranty item on 1/18/2023. As for the front license plate bracket, she "found one" for me as if she's doing me a favor (CA laws require a front plate). Nevertheless, I took the vehicle to another MB dealership and they were able to order the entire cup holder assembly and have the parts ready for me in one business day, all taken care of under warranty (strike four). To be fair, Brandi has replied to all of my inquiries and informed me the previous owner has the second key but for some reason is not willing to return it back to the dealership. The simple fix is simply to provide a second key by the dealership instead of chasing after the previous owner. After giving the dealership more than a month, I ran out of patience and asked Brandi for her manager's contact info. The reply I received was "I have let them know and they will call you back." After a few days of waiting, no one called (strike five), I called the dealership directly and asked for a manager and was connected to Filomena. I informed her of my experience and she said she will call me back in 15 minutes with a quote for the key and the dealership will program it free of charge. I waited for more than two days and no one called me back (strike six). I texted Brandi again on 1/28/2023 and asked if anyone in management will call me back and she said Johnnie Garcia will reach out to me. Johnnie called me on 1/29/2023 and he seemed to be sincere and understanding of my frustration. Johnnie said to me that he will speak with their general manager and see how to make things right. As of the time of this review, 2/2/2023, I have yet to receive the second key, no where to mount the front licence plate, or hear from Johnnie or anyone else from Walter's MB of Riverside (strike seven). I don't believe my experience is typical with this dealership, but it is one empty promise after another with them. And if you see the red flags, just leave. There are other dealerships out there that truly try to earn your business and give you the Mercedes-Benz experience. This will not be my last Mercedes, but you can count on this to be the last time I am buying from this dealership.Hi Jack, I’m sorry that your experience here went so poorly. Although some of the concerns like the paint condition and the single key are accounted for in a Lowe price of the car, ultimately your satisfaction is our standard. Without question our Management’s ability to communicate with you quickly and effectively has really turned what should have been some easy fixes and explanations into a miserable time for you. I‘ll look into these challenges and I will call you to review them, come up with a way to make these better and call you with a solution. Amazing Experience
by Bernardo Villa on 09/16/2022I had an amazing experience at Walter’s Mercedes! The staff was super helpful throughout the whole experience. I pulled up and was checking the car out outside and wanted to see more cars so I walked in and was greeted super nicely at the… front desk and told that they would bring someone to speak to me. I got Selvin Pineda as my Sales consultant and he was a really helpful and cool dude to talk to. He didn’t make me feel rushed or pressed considering I got there like at 5 and they closed at 6 on a Saturday. I honestly just went to see the car but everything was just natural and he was extremely knowledgeable about the Mercedes models so I just fell in love with the car. Overall I really appreciate Selvin and his patience because me and the people I took had many questions throughout and he answered everything in a real nice and helpful manner. If you come here I hope you get lucky and end up getting helped by Selvin. When I went upstairs to sign the paperwork I spoke with Justin Campbell and while I waited I made an espresso in a beautiful little kitchen like counter that they have downstairs. They also have amazing snacks but since it was late it wasn’t fully stocked anymore. While talking to Justin he mentioned they had twinkies their and I was shocked they had those so I told him I hadn’t had any since high school. He asked if I got any when I made my espresso and I told him they must’ve ran out because I didn’t see them. He told me not to worry because after everything was done he’d have some Twinkies for me. We signed the papers and he explained everything thoroughly from the care packages to the gap insurance and maintenance timeline. He explained everything so well that I had honestly forgot about the twinkies but he thanfully didn’t. Im very happy to say I left Mercedes in my new car eating a delicious twinkie. So BIG Thank to you Selvin and Justin you guys truly made this experience super smooth for me and I highly recommend Walter’s Mercedes Benz of Riverside, they’ll definetely take care of you here.Bernardo, Thank you for taking the time to leave us this excellent review and recommendation! Walter’s Mercedes-Benz of Riverside is a true story of achieving the American dream. Owner and Founder Walter Kienle was born in Germany to Swiss parents and immigrated to the US in 1948. Walter quickly found work as an automotive mechanic, but elected to sign up for the Army in order to serve his adopted country. He went to tank school and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. While stationed in Riverside, Walter discovered how much he loved California.
After an honorable discharge, Walter went back to New York to start a family and opened his own garage. Missing the warmer weather, his family moved to Riverside, CA in 1960. He started an automotive repair business specializing in European models, and in 1965 earned the right to begin selling them as well.
Walter’s Mercedes-Benz of Riverside now sells a number of luxury auto brands, but Mercedes-Benz was the first and remains the focus. That’s why we were named Dealer Rater’s Highest Rated Mercedes-Benz Dealer in California for 2015,
