Great selection with professional service
Good service, opportunistic and predatory sales
by Fiasco2021 on 12/21/2023Likes - Service has been very good, prompt and professional. Comfortable waiting area. Have had lease and warranty service since leasing then buying the leased 2021 Toyota Venza. I purchased the vehicle through corporate Toyota rather… than going to Right Toyota. I love the Venza and have had excellent experience with many Toyota products. Working with Toyota corporate to buy the car was very easy. Dislikes - My wife and I had gone to one of Right Toyota's sales gimmicks where we turned in a card to see what we won. Of course, we won a nominal gift, but this gave the sales staff opportunity to see if they could persuade us to purchase/lease a new car. We had a 2016 Rav4, purchased from Right Toyota in 2016, that was an excellent vehicle, but my wife did not really like the sporty ride. So after explaining what we were interested in, (i.e. hybrid, softer ride, options, including rear cross traffic alert (rcta),...etc.) they showed me a new Venza. It seemed a good deal so we leased the car drove off the lot. However, we immediately noticed on that very day that cars and people would go behind the Venza but it did not alert the driver. I told them that this is simply unacceptable. We even demonstrated this failure to one salesman who would not even acknowledge what he had just witnessed. He kept claiming that the rcta was working as intended. I was then brought to another salesman who called me a liar when I related the story to him. When I maintained that the operation of the rcta was unacceptable, they said that to achieve what I wanted I need parking assist which did not exist on the car I just leased. Well, too bad for us. We asked if we could have our Rav4 back. Our Rav4 was placed on the lot for sale for $18K (they gave me $14K in trade-in). At this point I have not even put in 100 miles in the car, but of course, they were not interested in really giving me a reasonable deal. I even contacted other Toyota dealerships to see if there was some way to trade the newly leased car for one that we really wanted. I was in a very adversarial relationship with sales. Finally I contacted the Right Toyota General Manager who, I think, instructed the sales team to "work this out". Well after continuing to skin me alive they did come up with a car with parking assist that when paired with Toyota rcta really does warn the driver if people are walking in back and front of the car, and really does alert of all immediate traffic behind the vehicle. They found another 2021 Venza that met all our initial requirements, meaning that the parking assist was on the car. I payed through the nose for this vehicle and endured insults and complete indifference to my stated needs. Nevertheless, I got a great car! Bottom Line: We bought the 2016 Rav4 and had no issues. The 2021 Venza was painful and horribly expensive (as far as I can tell we basically gave Right Toyota our 2016 Rav4). I felt as I had be skinned alive. Most likely a person that goes to Right Toyota knowing exactly what they need and what options are required to fill those needs will have no problem. I, however, simply do not trust the sales team at Right Toyota.Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your experiences with our dealership. After Service was really bad
by Wayne Lundquist on 12/15/2023The purchasing experience was fine, but the after service wasn't very favorable. We purchased the used vehicle, but it needed to stay at the dealership to complete some service repairs. We were told that the vehicle would be completed the… following day. Contacted the Dealership the next day, first big issue they never contacted me to give me a status and was told the vehicle needed to stay at the Dealership for a few days since the part wasn't available. After requesting an update, the next day, I found that car would available the next Day so now three days since the car was purchased. I was told on the day of pickup that the car would be ready at 1. Now when I heard ready that means, I take a quick look and drive off the lot. Well, that didn't happen. When I got there the vehicle hadn't been cleaned, and the front window had a crack which we had identified on the day we purchased it and there was very little gas in the tank. So now I have to wait for the vehicle to get cleaned and I'm thinking that the window won't get repaired today and I would need to drive 40 miles to come back and get it fixed. The vehicle comes back cleaned but not as clean as I would expect, they told me that they had sealed the crack and the crack got larger they would replace the glass. At that time, I again told them that I had two issues, one the glass was already spider webbing and second who's going to remember if the glass gets worse 6 month from now. He's takes it back to the service department and then tells me about twenty minutes later that they will schedule a service call to replace the glass at my house. So, I take one last look and again ask him if they top off cars that had been purchase which he again said yes, so for the third time the vehicle goes back to the service department. Total time spend at the dealership over three hours when I was told the vehicle was ready to pick. Getting the front window replaced has been an ordeal also. No contact with the service department until today the 15th. Multiple requests for an update to the sales rep.Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent experience with our dealership. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you encountered during the post-purchase service of your used vehicle. Your feedback is crucial in helping us improve our processes, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. We regret any miscommunication regarding the completion time of the service repairs and the lack of updates on the availability of the part. We understand the importance of clear communication and ensuring that our customers are well-informed throughout the service process. Rest assured, we will address this with our team to prevent such lapses in the future.
So, I've found additional issue with this vehicle. I've had a lot of problems with the tires which were replaced by Right Toyota, when we purchased the vehicle, the tires were bald, I find that even when going around turn or just moving forward that these tires have little to no traction. The tires spin and squeal. I took the vehicle to Avondale Toyota to look at the tires because I thought that the tires weren't new. The tech just told me that these tires were new but bad. I would have thought that Right would have used Toyota recommended tires not just the cheapest tires they could find. The tires they place on my vehicle are Adventa P235/55/102H and Toyota Recommend tires are the ALENZA Sport A/S. If I have bad traction when It's not raining, I would be very concerned going somewere that rains and snows.

Nice price, but watch for hidden fees
by John B Doe on 11/29/2023Great selection of trucks. Saw one we liked and price was very good, until they tallied the “out the door” cost. Finance guy told us we should have known that extra fees were involved. Hmm, maybe, but it seemed they were being a little bit… quiet or sneaky about all of the fees and were trying to hide the actual price until we sat down to sign. In the end, the final sales price was no better than a couple other dealers we visited.Mr. Doe, we apologize you had issues working out the final price for your vehicle. Thank you for your review and comments, we appreciate your business.
Unbelievable experience! Only place I will buy a Toyota
by Thg on 10/31/2023Everyone was fantastic to work with. I had a tight schedule and needed to get in and out, and they came through to get me on my way. They did a great job of telling me my add on options, but without adding ANY pressure. I have never had… a more comfortable experience buying a vehicle. Well done!We are very pleased you had a great purchase experience with our team. We do our very best to be transparent and efficient with our customers, thank you for the recognition.

STAY AWAY!
by Maria DLH on 10/02/2023Worst experience of my life, I’ve purchased multiple new Toyotas from different dealerships in the valley, and never have I had an experience like this one. I work in the car industry, so I know how it goes. Last year I purchased a car here… and everything went smoothly, so I decided to come back, Worst mistake of my life, I told them what I wanted, and they said they could have it in 5 days (even tho all the other dealerships were telling me 2-3 weeks). So, I was like cool, let’s do it, if it’s only going to be 5 days. We started over 1k for a monthly payment until we got to 600 and something, ok? That should have been my first red flag. Second red flag is that it was all written on a blank piece of paper with a marker, they refused to print it out for me to understand it better until I got to finance. They said they would give me 47k for my truck, when I got to finance the paperwork said 44k, then when I asked why he said the rest was discounting the taxes and fees. I have NEVER been charged taxes and fees on a trade in. Then they said they could only get me a lower interest rate unless I added warranties, IT’S A TOYOTA IT DOES NOT NEED ANY WARRANTIES. Then after I signed, I tried talking to one of the sales managers to see why they lied to me and not one of them wanted to come out to talk to me. It took over a week to get my car. And we did not learn enough, we decided to purchase a second vehicle for my brother, this one did arrive sooner. The sales guy told us to go on a certain day and we did but they would not let us take the car until the funds clear? I have purchased so many Toyotas from different Toyota dealers and I have never heard that you can’t take a car until the funds clear. They said we had an approval from Toyota financial the day the contract was made so it makes so sense as to why they need the funds to clear. So, none takes the cars home the same until funds clear? Makes no sense, you guys need to learn to be more transparent with customers and stop giving people the runaround, so unprofessional. I should not have to reach out to the GM so I could get answers, and GM didn’t even reach out directly, shows how much they care. Don’t sign a contract with no car like we did or they will ghost you after they get your signature. STAY AWAY!We apologize for your negative experience and for any confusion or miscommunication that occurred during your car purchasing process. We understand your frustration and will make sure to address these concerns with our team. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact us via email or call. Tell me you don’t want to service my Tacoma without telling me
by Luke Jackson on 09/14/2023Call dealership to replace rear bearings and seals on 2001 Tacoma. They tell me flat rate is $1,200, so I bring it in. They look at it, all day, and call me late to say it will be $2,200 plus tax, cuz brakes were soaked with gear lube. No… [non-permissible content removed], brakes have to come off to press off and on bearings, spacers and seals. So I buy Toyota parts from camelback Toyota dealer, $400 and pay local machine shop to press off and on parts ($142) and do all the work myself in about six hours. Right Toyota always makes me feel dirty and used.We are deeply sorry to hear about your recent experience with our dealership regarding the service on your 2001 Tacoma. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we genuinely appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience and frustration you may have experienced.
After driving a TRX I bought a new Tundra.
by Luke T on 09/06/2023No kidding, after driving a TRX next door I decided last second I should try a Tundra just in case before spending $100k. What a suprise I had. The Tundra is fast, solid build, good quaility, and nice Interior. Ian Stone quickly let me… drive three different models. No hassel. No price haggling, and I just bought it for sticker price and saved my headache of the TRX maintenance that would surely come after 30,000 miles.Luke, thank you very much for your kind feedback regarding the Tundra purchase at Right Toyota. The Tundra is an awesome vehicle which will provide you with many years of safe reliable service. Enjoy your new Tundra and thank you very much for being our customer. Buyer Beware!
by Donna N on 09/03/2023New buyer beware if you are trading in a vehicle. The sales part of the new car purchase and trade in went smoothly. However, it took Right Toyota almost 2 months to payoff the trade in, resulting in two months of late payments and a drop… in my credit score of more than 100 points. The finance manager, Ryan Jenny wasn't able or willing to resolve the issue, he turned me over to accounting, I left four voicemails and never received a call back. My message left for General Sales Manager, Jamie Steinseifer was not returned, it wasn't until Matthew Winter a Customer Sales Manager stepped in that I finally had some answers. They clearly dropped the ball. It's been almost 3 months since the purchase of the new vehicle and I am still disputing the reports on my credit, to no fault of my own. Totally unacceptable!Donna, we sincerely apologize for all the frustration and inconvenience resulting from the payoff of your trade vehicle. We hope the situation resolves quickly with the assistance I provided. Please contact me if you need any addition help resolving the situation. Tried to buy a car. Sales person could not even make it to the meeting.
by Eric on 05/09/2023Anthony, the sales person and my point of contact, asked me to leave a 5-Star review as way "give [him] leverage to get the markup reduced." We setup up an appointment for 4 PM on Saturday. Thursday before the appointment I sent 1 text… asking him to email me the paperwork he was planning on showing me Saturday. No response. Friday I sent another text "Hey Anthony! Any updates for me?" No response. Saturday I sent another text "Hey Anthony - haven't heard back from you in a couple days. What's going on?" No response. A person, who I will assume is a manager called me at 3:00 to confirm our appointment. The caller said our appointment was at 5. I clarified that we had changed the time to 4 and he said that should work and whatever works for me. He said he would contact Anthony. Four o'clock comes around and no call or contact so I called the dealer. The super kind receptionist was able to transfer me to him. I let him know that I had been trying to contact him that past couple days and his response was "I lost my phone and all my contacts." Instead of having our scheduled meeting, he said he would call me back in 5 minutes. He never called back.Ejbluth, we sincerely apologize for the lack of communication, how frustrating. We will use your review and comments to coach and improve communication with customers. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, we will do our best to make the best out of an unpleasant situation. Matt W. - CR Mgr. - Right Toyota
Untrustworthy

Treated me like a child
by Colten H on 05/06/2023I have never been more disrespected by a sales manager in my life. I have been working with Logan Mullany (he is great and very knowledgeable!). I drove up today from Yuma (3hrs away) to arrange a reservation for a 23 Tundra. I was told it… had to be in person so I cleared the day to make the trip. Half way up the drive I was told Logan my sales guy wouldn’t be there and someone else was going to take his place. I was ok with that and under the impression I’d be taken care of. Upon arriving the sales guy that I was put with was unaware of my situation and my goals for purchasing a new truck. I felt like I was starting from scratch. Once we found a truck that I was ready to reserve we started talking numbers and the sales manager immediately came over to get involved. After doing the math together and crunching all the numbers I made my offer and they left to run the numbers on their end. I was left there for roughly 10 min (which isn’t unusual at dealerships) before they rejoined me. When they rejoined the sales manager told me “You did your math wrong, I don’t know how you came up with this figure.” We sat there together and came up with the number together so I was caught by surprise with that statement. After the sales manager then began to explain the math to me like I was a child (I am a very well educated person) I decided it was time for me to go and that myself and my time were not respected at the dealership. I have now lost an entire day and drove 6 hours for nothing. The sales manager also lied to my face when I asked about the market adjustment fee. He told me that it was a nation wide standard for Toyota due to the inflated vehicle prices. After I left I called 2 more dealerships and neither one said that they charged a market adjustment fee and both dealerships recommended I walk away as they felt it was a shady tactic to get more money out of customers.Colten, we are sorry you had a difficult experience with our team. Some new Toyota models (Especially Tundra) have market adjusted pricing. Some dealers add MSRP addendums with worthless dealer added items to increase the price. Customers are told they can purchase the vehicle as sticker, but it is actually the adjusted sticker including the addendum and increased price. Our dealership is very transparent with our market adjustment and we do not add unnecessary items. You have worked with us on multiple occasions in an attempt to purchase a vehicle, but we have never been successful agreeing on price, vehicle, or terms. Each time we have worked with you it has taken multiple hours with no sale. Our sales manager was brief and to the point so we are sorry you took offense. Also, whenever a customer contacts a different dealer regarding the pricing of another dealer, that customer will be told to "walk away" or they are being "ripped off." Calling another dealer is the very least reliable source of information. Matt W. - CR Mgr. - Right Toyota
